Frankie's Jazz Club
Dinner: Wednesday - Sunday: 8:00pm - 11:00pm
We all had a wonderful fun night, the food was hot and delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful and we loved the awesome jazz singer Natasha D’Agostino. We would definitely come again ❤️
Great jazz venue. Stage is kind of small and cramped, and the curtained backdrop isn't all that attractive. But glad to see a live jazz venue all the same
Went to see Emily Chambers tonight with my family. Food and drinks were amazing. Polenta fries are a must! Make sure to book a reservation as it can fill up pretty quick for a show. Tim was a fantastic waiter and deserves major kudos. He knew what he was doing. Thanks for a great night!
My husband and I were in the mood for some jazz, so we went to see the Aaron Levinson Group. The music was fantastic! Well worth the $17.50 cover charge, and more! We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, service and ambience. Although the food was good, it is possible to go there and simply enjoy some drinks at the bar while listening to music. We will definitely be back!
Tom Keenlyside, you are still a legend!
As is Rene Worst!!
We very much enjoyed our evening at Frankie's Jazz Bar. It was a special occasion as my brother's quartet was playing there that evening. The food was first class and the service excellent. Thank you for a very pleasant evening of music and dining!
Oyster side dish had a lot of closed (so dead) oysters. That should have been caught by the chef. Other than that everything was amazing.
I love Frankie's! I go there to hear the jazz, which is of course, always excellent.
As an older Vancouverite, I miss the days when I could pop down to the Glass Slipper or the Cellar, but Frankie's has filed in that gap and the food, service and atmosphere are the tops!
I go here often especially during the International Jazz Festival. It’s a great place to hear jazz and have a nice meal. The staff are very helpful, friendly and efficient.
I would highly recommend it for late night jazz.
Fantastic club for jazz. Love the ambiance. The service is friendly and efficient. Very nice Italian menu! I'm never disappointed!
We enjoyed going to Frankie’s, we went to see the Brad Turner quartet. The food was good, although I was sick the next morning, which I attribute to what I ate there. Otherwise it was a good experience.
June 28. Table 92. Came because of show during Jazz Festival. Been meaning to come before now. We shared the arancini appetizer and enjoyed it completely. My wife had the seafood linguini. Very nice. She would order it again. I had the veal parmesan. It was overcooked, tough and somewhat burnt. The pasta and sauce accompanying it were lovely. The music was fine, but we had to get up for work the next day so we left after the first set. Let some of the people standing outside have our table. Will we be back? Of course! Will I order the veal again? No, but there are lots of other choices on the menu for us to taste. See you later.
Went to hear the incredible PJ Perry quintet play two sets of great jazz
Over the top GREAT! Was there for the Vancouver Coastal Jazz Festival and it was amazing. Top entertainment ( PJ Perry Quintet .... perfect, amazing, wonderful - all top rate players). Besides the great music the food was wonderful -the Old World Pepperoni pizza was excellent - thin but nice chewy strong crust with the best artisanal spicy pepperoni. Totally hot spicy pepperoni, so good. And to finish, a nice side Caesar salad 'dopo la pizza' - perfetto. Our server seamlessly brought our plates and cleared the table - she barely disturbed our rapt attention to the band on stage (which was excellently right in front of us). Wow, what an evening. Thanks Frankie's Jazz Club, you're a fabulous addition to the Vancouver jazz scene and of course the Italian food scene. Grazie, I'll be back!
Fantastic venue, food, staff and music during our visit at the International Jazz Festival.
We love going to Frankie's jazz bar and we picked this evening for the particular jazz group who was playing. Everything was great as usual except for the side caesar salad we ordered, which unfortunately was tasteless and the croutons were stale. Otherwise, the music was wonderful, the staff is wonderful, and our pasta dishes were delicious!
Another A+ night at Frankie's. Great atmosphere, great music and musicians, great staff, and a great audience as well.
Taking in the Jazz Festival. Stayed for the late night jam. Great music and ambience. Really good service as well.
Loved the food, great venue for live music. The fact that it is a jazz bar, perfect. We need more establishments for the jazz crowd in the lower mainland. I will most definitely return for a evening of good music and delicious food. Service was great.
Thoroughly enjoyed the live music, the meal was delicious, service was outstanding and the policy for no loud talking and racket during performances was fabulous!
This is a real jazz club. Enough said.
It was a great way to watch some of the live music during Vancouver's International Jazz Festival. A true jazz club. In this particular session, the musicians in the open mike/jam session after were exceptional, even better than those playing at the festival. Lots of local talent out there, great to watch.
The food was fresh and delicious.
10/10 would recommend.
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. The music was excellent, food very good, service great.
Ambience was great . Jazz was fantastic . Our appetizers were great . Meal was over cooked and my friends meal was worse . The restaurant offered to replace it . Will go back as it’s s perfect venue to listen to jazz .
Great food, atmosphere, music and fabulous service. We are from New Zealand and visit Vancouver each year to visit family so will definitely return.
First time at Frankie's, and definitely not the last.
The music was fabulous, well worth the drive from Langley.
Excellent venue for Vancouver International Jazz Festival. Always the best music in town. Good food too!
Attentive waiters, great seat and fantastic music. Loved the Dylan Cramer Trio. Will be back anytime they are playing.
The pasta that I cannot pronounce with veal, beef, prosciutto was to die for. Tasty Tiramisu as well.
My hubby and I and 2 friends wanted to try Frankie’s for the jazz and food.
We were not disappointed, the meals were great, seafood linguine, and salads. Large portions! Had good draft beer. We really enjoyed the band Louisiana jazz and well worth the $10 cover.
Would definitely return
We went there to see a friend perform in a Jazz group, Our first time at Frankie's. Very impressed with the efficiency of their reservation system. Good welcoming atmosphere, food and wine choices were excellent. Service was really impressive even though the place was packed and the prices are good value for what you get. Now that I have discovered Frankie's we will be going back often. Great find !!!!
We were there to see our friend and his band last Sunday. It was a great night. Our server deserves special mention. She was the most alert, attentive and efficient server we've ever experienced, a person who could give lessons on professionalism in the workplace.
Enjoyed the music and the food. Service was excellent.
Amazing night of music with the Davis/Danderfer Quintet. Our server Tim took great care of us throughout the night. Those two things along with the noise policy make Frankie's Vancouver's top jazz spot.
Classy place, good food great music. Highly recommend
Frankie’s Jazz Bar is the prime location for the Coastal Jazz Program. The food and service are great but live jazz is why I come. I Naldo meet friends and family members there to visit before the music. It would be a very good improvement if Frankie’s lost all the obnoxious TVs and played softer jazz when the live music was not playing. That would be more in the tradition of the great jazz bars in Manhattan. Live music and comfortable conversation is why the audiences come. Please let us do what we came to do.
Very enjoyable evening. Food was tasty. Music good. Service was right on top of your needs and they were aware of not blocking your view to the entertainment ...which I appreciated.
We had a great time listening to live jazz with Jacqui Naylor (creative, mesmerizing vocals), Art Khu (incredibly talented pianist and guitarist) from San Francisco along with a local bass player and drummer. Really cool arrangements too. Loved the no-noise policy while the band is playing and our fun, attentive server. She was a real hoot! We were seated at a great table close to the band which was a real bonus. The food was excellent. I had a beet and beef salad that was delicious and my hubby really enjoyed his chicken club sandwich. A great wine list too. Overall, a really enjoyable experience. If you love the perfect atmosphere for listening to live music, Frankie’s is the place to go! We recommend the food as well.
Watched Jacqui Naylor perform live.. . amazing... Mashed up Black Coffee with Led Zeppelin's Moby Dick... Simply awesome.
A fabulous evening with Cory Weeds, Harold Mabern, Terrell Stafford. Live recording. This is a true Jazz Dinner Club. While the performers are on stage, NO talking. We usually share an appetizer and tonight we decided to share one of the Chefs specials for the evening. A very very good dish, spaghetti with shrimp & scallops. Maybe we should have each had our own dish...
Great atmosphere. Great jazz , and really good Italian food
