Frankie's Jazz Club Ratings and Reviews
Frankies has great sound and insures that the audience is respectful in a way that consistently provides a wonderful jazz experience. And when it happens to be Monte Alexander and two other fantastic musicians, it is outstanding.
This is a great place to have dinner and then sit back and enjoy the jazz presented by Coastal Jazz and blues society. There is something for everyone's taste!
Music was very good. Table did not have a good view.
Frankie's always delivers good food, great service and great jazz entertainment.
My experience at Frankie's Jazz club was very enjoyable. Music was superb. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was tasty. A good night.
We were there for New Year’s Eve. Thought for sure the price included a glass of champagne at midnight.
Found it to be expensive ( I live downtown so I get pricing). The chicken was dry. My favourite dish was the creme Brûlée and I don’t have a sweet tooth.
Service was great. A vibrant blonde French girl served us and was a pleasure to be around.
Our waitress was excellent for New Years Eve! She treated everyone like they were old friends, and that made it extra special.
We went to Frankies Jazz Club for New Years Eve 2017/18, whilst visiting Vancouver from the UK. The evening was thoroughly enjoyable - the 3 course menu very tasty and good value at $89 a head and the live music from Mazacote was excellent.
Good food, very good service, and great live music.
Staff was excellent, very friendly and professional.
The food, service and ambience were terrific. Erica, our server was really on top of her game. Very courteous and professional. The band, "Lesismore" were fantastic. We were a party of 10, so good friends, great food and service and wonderful entertainment made the evening very pleasant. We will definitely return.
Good food and great jazz. Increasingly hard to find here in Vancouver
My friends and I were in Vancouver for the week, and Frankie's Jazz Club was certainly a delightful highlight. The ambiance was warm, classic, and romantic. Sipping on handcrafted cocktails while listening to the live jazz music was truly an unforgettable experience. It inspired us to pursue more exploration.
Excellent beer, friendly patrons and staff, delicious prawns and swinging band, plus close parking! It doesn't get better than this! I love Canada!!
As usual we are at Frankie’s for the great jazz and as usual we were not disappointed. The Jill Townsend Big Band is one of our favourite groups and we try not to miss the opportunity to be in the audience. Tonight we shared a house side salad which was pretty big and the dressing used is lovely. Next we shared the sirloin burger and fries. Filling and good.
I love the jazz here although this particular night I wasn't wild about the singer. Yes he was good & GR8 to hear seasonal jazz songs, but the whole scenario didn't quite cut it for me. The food was FAB & love the atmosphere. The music was too loud, so we asked to have it turned down & it was, so then it was perfect. All in all, a very enjoyable evening!
Parm and I went to see the Siobhan Walsh group. Great show, lots of energy. Service was a bit slow, but to be expected as it was a busy night. Server was excellent and was able to work around the noise level to take our order. A great night all around and we will definitely be back!
Watching The Siobhan Walsh Jazz group perform at Frankie's is our favourite date night. They are beyond amazing!!! Please bring them back often!
My friends and I attended in order to hear the band, Saul Berson Quartet. The fact that the food and drinks were amazing was a bonus. But what we really were impressed with was the servers, ours in particular, Tim. He never stopped moving, and had our water filled constantly. He was remarkable and made the evening perfect.
Good live jazz, good drinks and good ambiance! Worth the visit!
Went to see 45th Ave Jazz band on Wed Dec 13th, music was great, dinner was very good too, with excellant service.
What a fun find - great music and service well handled as the show went on. Food was good - ample portions - with reasonably priced wines.
We were graciously given the best table in the club, and our service was attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious and the live music, energetic and professional. A great experience!
Good food, good easy listening jazz, tremendous customer service by the staff.
A few times a year we bring our granddaughters ], who are high school music students, to enjoy a great evening of jazz music and time together. We all absolutely love the evening.
Great food, great service and fantastic jazz. Wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Frankies. We will be back next time we are in Vancouver.
I was very impressed to receive a phone call to confirm reservation and what type of seating I preferred. Bonus to hear Champian Fulton and outstanding musicians! Thanks for making our first visit so special. Marianne Farmer
PS Late Dec. I'm getting a knee replacement, so I wanted to check out Frankie's before Jan. when we're coming to see/hear Monty Alexander Jan. 13. Frankie's is very accessible to those with physical challenges.
Fabulous food/service/ambience/jazz! Loved Corey Weeds' sax & Champion Fulton's voice!
Great cuisine......Great Entertainment......It's all one could ask for....
a cozy dinner for two , a glass of wine and live jazz: a perfect evening
This is a perfect place to listen to live jazz in Vancouver. With delicious food and excellent service with a smile.
Great Jazz place. Great setting. When reserving you get admission, not a pick of your place. Come early to buy food, drinks and spend money does not get a better seat than someone who shows up at the last moment and sip one drink. Its not right for the paying customer nor Frankies brand. If Frankies gave better seats to those that come early they would make more money and tips....and have a happy customer.
always a great time with friendly and attentive service. Musicians are top notch and verging on out of this world good. I always enjoy myself!!
Great show, service and meatballs!!! Jodi Proznick and her group brought us to Frankie's and the food and vibe made it even more memorable.
Excellent food and music
Fine evening with friends. Started with drinks and dinner before the two sets of live jazz.
Fantastic jazz as usual! Good Italian dishes! Nice place to combine dinner, meeting with friends or family and listen to lovely jazz :) Thank you! We will definitely come back and bring our friends
Great food and fantastic service at the best jazz club on the West Coast of Canada. Frankie's features local heavies and touring national and international artists in a near-perfect music night club space. It's a one-of-kind experience.
We don't go out often but when we do, it's so nice to know that there is a venue like Frankie's. We feel relaxed and comfortable there. Food is good and the staff are efficient and friendly. We look forward to visiting again on Dec. 22nd for the 3 Queens. We've seen them many times and they always make the Christmas holidays feel complete. They're wonderful! Thank you.
Frankie's is great, but the availability for parking is not good. Is there somewhere cheaper than $20 across the street? Or, could you negotiate a better deal with the company who owns the parking lot. We, as your customers are being exploited.
A great spot to go to for a true jazz experience and tasty Italian food. The service was very good, or waiter made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this place if you're a true jazz lover. Very nice ambiance!
