   Fun little bar with live music. They were packed the night we were there and while the food was great the staff seemed a little frazzled and were obviously not enjoying the crowd.

   So very fortunate to have this venue for artists to perform! The meal and service were superb, too. Hopefully dinner guests can learn to be more respectful for the work of the performers and NOT talk so loudly. Most guests pay to listen, not socialize during the show.

    Awesome night at Frankie’s ! Zapposrrophe played at the right volume for sharing ,exceptional musicians and tight delivery!! Diverse menu and attentive servers • I accidentally made my way into the kitchen while looking for the bathroom , chopped a few onions and washed a few dishes , and now there’s potential for a new career starting in my late 50’s ! Staff were very accommodating and didn’t have me arrested - Respectfully Gary

    We went to the jazz club side and the service was horrible. It took a while to get drinks and we had to keep asking the staff to come over and attend to us. Service needs improvement. Some of the tables are very far in the back, you cannot see anything.

    My friend and I like to go and have dinner and listen to some world-class jazz right here in the heart of Vancouver. The music is amazing. The food is decent. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cool if you like jazz.

    The food was so overpriced. $30 dollars for half a plate of pasta? Come on! I had to go home and make myself a proper dinner after to sate myself.

    Food is always good. We get the and charcuterie board and then entry Veal Scaloppini both of which I would order again. The service is always good. The band Mojo Stars was fun and the atmosphere was energetic. One of my favorite ways to spend evening out is at Frankies.

    Frankie’s is one of those special places you can have great food and awesome live music. This visit had us paired with the best server who was extremely attentive to our needs. The risotto, salmon and lamb were excellent. Thank you for a great evening.

    Music was good. But no dance floor. That’s mostly why we would choose a different venue. We saw a couple people wanting to dance and they had to go dance at the front entrance. That’s not ok. The bill for just the two of us was outrageously high for the quality. The meal was ok. We had the veal. The portion was small for the price, and the veal was tough and stringy which surprised me. I doubted that it was actually veal. We left looking for a venue where we could dance and have fun. For a jazz bar with live music, so much was lacking.

    While it was quite busy as the reservation included both dinner and show, the service seemed unable to keep up with the volume of diners present. From our arrival to the first plates on our table, 1.5 hours had elapsed. The visits from the server were infrequent and when they did occur, she was quite rushed. Again, the venue was full. I'm assuming that the sheer volume of guests impacted the service levels. The music was excellent. The food (once it arrived) was excellent. Even the server (when she had opportunity to visit) was excellent. She was friendly, attentive and very courteous. Can't say enough good things.

    this place has a great reputation and a good buzz, but we had an awful meal on our last visit. Mushroom risotto which seemed literally like a bowl of rice with mushroom soup poured on top. gnocchi was not even edible. (charcuteries and other things that went by looked pretty good). If the music had been amazing it wouldn't have mattered but that night it was pretty meh: an uninspired quartet playing repetitive stuff. We'll try again, but not soon.

    Cool vibe for something a little different, the food and service was fabulous, the specialty drinks added up quick, thought the door charge was to be put towards food and beverage but I could have read it wrong. They also added a couple of extra cocktails to our bill which we are still working on getting refunded (we should review every detail of the bill before we pay but...) The jazz was a talented group of older gents playing, it was our 20th anniversary and we wanted to go somewhere we have never been DT before, again it was fun for something different. We will most likely return to Frankie's Italian restaurant side of things as the food was fab!

    There were 6 of us at a table near the band on the main floor. Excellent view of the band, which was great. I had the lasagna, different than what I remember it, more meat & less noodles, I prefer the other way around. :); the music was very good except I guess that I read the description of the band incorrectly as thought James Danderfer was going 2b on the sax, which I love but found he was on the clarinet, good but a bit of a letdown. All in all, another pleasurable experience.
