    Waitress was rude and never gave us our ranch after asking 3 times and never offered to help when there was a spill and instead forced the bill upon us

    We had a party of 6 and everyone was not thrilled about their food. It was ok. But you are paying for the views , whisk is beautiful.

    Dinning room was beautiful. Ordered a filet and got something that more resembled pot roast with gravy over it. Server didn’t come back to see how our food was, next time we saw him he just dropped the bill

    We had a nice filet mignon, the mushrooms added a nice touch however were smothered in salty gravy and poured over the steak. Not what we expected. Lunch the next day was very disappointing, cold soup ( sent back ). Once warmed up the soup was good, the roasted brussel sprouts salad with kale sounded delicious, however was pretty bad. The “roasted” brussell sprouts were served cold, zero taste, the kale was bitter, the feta etc tasted prepackaged and the tart vinegar dressing made it even less palatable. Just could not get a single good bite

    Hostess was great, found us a really nice table overlooking the water. Fish tacos were good and the fries were excellent, but the burger was overdone (for medium well) and tasted like it had been made from frozen. What turned us off was the mediocre service. Our waitress acted like we were more of an inconvenience than customers, and that was evident in her tone and attention. We heard interactions at other tables with other waitresses and wondered why ours was so down on everything.

    Too much fillers Fish and chips … too much coating on the fish , huge amt. of thick waffle fries, tartar sauce was not good. Fish tacos same fish covered with at least a1/2 cup of creamy coldslaw

    First time diners at Freighters. We had a very good experience. The view along the waterfront was great. The food and service were perfect for our anniversary dinner. We will definitely be back.

    I tried the smoked chowder which was delicious as was the brisket pot roast.My date had the strip steak which she enjoyed as well.Our server was friendly and efficient the only down side was that an event was seated toward the middle of our dinner which raised the noise level considerably

    Met up here with two adults and one special needs teen (in a special wheelchair). Staff was very accommodating!! We had a great time visiting while watching the boats on the St. Clair River. Our food arrived an absolutely loved the fish tacos!! It’s more than a lunch meal! A great visit, lovely atmosphere, professional staff and our entree’s were delicious. We will be back!💕

    Could not have been happier with our choice to dine here on the way back from another destination. Staff was friendly and attentive, above and beyond. Food was very good, big portions and we had plenty to take away. And definitely can’t beat the view. We had a lovely walk on the boardwalk after our meal too!

    Excellent service. Had a business dinner here and took a while to order drinks and food. The server was so patient and did not make us feel rushed at all. Looking forward to returning.

    We ordered a bottle of wine and a sangria and our food all at the same time. Our waitress came over once, after 15 mins to say they were looking for the bottles of wine, I told her I could order something else, but no she was getting it. After 30 minutes - we got our food - still no drinks, except water. We cancelled the drink order, the manager was very apologetic. Food was fine. The view of the river spectacular.

    Service was good, but food was lukewarm & not fresh at all. Waffle fries seemed old, and tortillas for the fish tacos seemed hard/stale too. Food quality was pretty poor for the prices at Freighters.

    Wonderful setting. Appetizers and mac and cheese were fantastic, but steak could have been more tender and potatoes seemed like they had been kept under a warming light for a while. They compensated the 4 of us by giving us 2 free desserts.

    Great service! Food selections were varied. All food was very tasty and served promptly. Had the nacho appetizer, fish and chips, chicken tenders and the MI salad. All portions were good except I paid an extra $5 for added chicken to my MI salad but felt the portion was way too small for the additional price. Would definitely return but next time, no salads!

    We celebrated my daughter's 20th birthday here at Freighters. We enjoyed delicious food and ambience, had our favorite waiter take good care of us, and as a bonus got to watch a freighter pass by under the bridge. This is definitely one of our favorite places to enjoy together. Thank you for the great customer service.

    Our dining experience at Freighters Eatery & Taproom was excellent! The menu selection offered a wide variety of choices at reasonable prices. The food and service was great. Having a window view of the river was a beautiful setting for our special occasion.

    We had a table with a great view of the water. Fabulous. We had the best waiter. Rinaldo was super. Request him!!!! The food was good. The menu had something for everyone. The prices are great, from the drinks to dessert and everything in between. We would definitely go back to Freighters Eatery. It was a wonderful time. It was a very warm, welcoming place.
