Really sexy, artsy place. We had great service and drinks. Lots of beautiful people
Excellent dinner experience. Dined with a friend and shared several sized plates which offered excellent flavor and amazing presentation. Our server was knowledgable and friendly, recommending several dishes which complimented our different preferences.
Will definitely return!
food was average given the other restaurants in this neighborhood
The food was very good, and the service was great. I went with my parents and my dad checked in on Facebook and we got a free dessert.
Food is just ok, the descriptions are definitely better than the execution. Desserts were a big disappointment and I would recommend skipping altogether. Atmosphere and artwork are great but with so many better dining opportunities in Chicago, I don’t see going back.
Great space with lots of objects to look at and discuss during dinner. The food is very reasonably priced, so no need to splurge to have a good time and try something different.
Absolutely delicious food, unique takes on classic dishes, excellent service.
Great Night out!
This is a beautiful place! Went here with my family for my birthday dinner and we loved the food, the ambience, and the service. Everyone was so nice. Thanks for a great experience.
Loved the ambiance & our waitress was bomb. The food is more like small plates/tapas & was all so good. Maybe not the best before a night out though because we probably needed more food on our stomachs. The vibe was super artsy and even had an artist painting in the restaurant - SO COOL. Will definitely be back.
Great food, a tad noisy but the restaurant and decor make up for it. Don't go for a quiet evening, go for a great meal with friends. Fabulous street art on the walls, great menu. Make sure you order the Brussels Sprout appetizer!
The food, the art, the neighborhood... all add up to make this our new FAVORITE restaurant in Chicago!
Being a showcase for artists, FMK had an incredibly eclectic vibe. We sat in the main room and I wish that I was facing into the middle so that I could take in the fantastic decor. It was a bit louder than I had expected because the main room doesn't have any forms of sound deadening/insulation. The food was great, I wish that I could have sampled a greater variety of items but my date played it safe. I'd certainly go back again.
Food was pretentious but nothing special. The drinks were not extraordinary.
Delicious food and great atmosphere! We would definitely go back!
Great food, great decor. However, kinda loud and hard to converse with your company. The seats were a bit uncomfortable too. The table was old and charming part of the decor, but it was uneven and I almost spilled my drink several times. All things considered, it was a great dining experience and I would go back again. Perhaps the management could hang some sound absorbing art on the wall ??
Amazing service, awesome setting with great artwork and an all around great time. I've been to FMK twice now and each experience has been amazing. The cocktails are imaginative and tasty and the changing food menu is delicious! Definitely a top 5 favorite Chicago restaurant for me... a must try for sure!
Good food. Service was okay.
While there are many great restaurants in this town, this is one of the coolest places in Chicago. Great ambience, service, mixologists, and always a fun sensory experience. The bar, music. the art, the vibe and of course the creative cuisine never seems to disappoint. Did valentine’s day there (2nd year in a row) and very happy with that decision. Highly recommend.
Great experience, very good food and excellent entertainment (Y’azz Jazz).
This was my first time at Fulton Market Kitchen - it was great. Funky art, a great little jazz trio playing, and excellent service and food. I look forward to going back again soon!
Wonderful experience for dinner. Started dinner with a first class Old Fashion.
We had two “veggie” appetizers. Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts and Faralle.
Salmon was done perfectly.
We had a group of 10 that turned into 12 and since it wasn't too busy they were able to accomodate and move us to a larger room which was very nice. Service was good, a couple mix ups here and there to be expected with a large group. We were there on the last day of restaurant week and everything was delicious. Drink prices were a little over the top even for a downtown spot. Will definitely go back and try the regular menu in a really cool, artwork filled, high ceiling, and classy industrial atmosphere.
Awesome birthday dinner.. Service was top notch!
Amazing atmosphere, beautiful interior and outstanding food.
We loved it! The staff provided great service. They were knowledgeable and very attentive. I never had to ask for anything. It's like they knew what I wanted before I did. The food was exceptional. The love and attention to detail really show through. So delicious and artfully plated. Our favorite part of the night was dessert. The poached pear was the MVP. Thank you. We hope to be back soon.
Disappointed we couldn’t order from the menu! They extended restaurant week without notice. Really restricted our options.
We made reservation after restaurant week on purpose; however we learned after showing that it had been extended and we were given a limited menu. Given the choices were not what we would have ordered or to our liking, the whole experience was ruined.
We stopped in for restaurant week, and while our food was good it was not worth the price of the sampling menu. The beef was really good, but the plates were so small and I left hungry after a 3-course meal. I'd be happy to come back and try the regular menu, but I wasn't really impressed with any of the food. The venue and ambiance are really cool and my bartender was very nice and helpful (not to mention patient) in offering me multiple wines to try. Overall I'd recommend it as a good place to try but it didn't blow my socks off.
Three of us dined at Fulton Market Kitchen during restaurant week and it was a great experience. The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. The decor was artsy which added to the ambiance. Woudl highly recommend
The space is funky and inviting -- great for table conversation. The service was great. We didn't feel rushed to do anything. They kept the table cleared and water glasses filled but you also didn't feel like they were hovering.
It was restaurant week so options were limited. We wanted to look at the full menu but they only offered the selection for restaurant week. Which was unfortunate because if you were someone who didn't like beets or prawns with the heads on (like someone in our group) you were still going to pay $40 dollars and not get one of the courses.
The portions were very small. A $40 dollar meal that consisted of two prawns as an appetizer, half a fennel bulb gratin as a main course and three small slices of poached pear on a dollop of penna cotta. Plus a whopping $13 dollars for a hard hot cider.
Food was good. Small portions. Extremely slow service and they charge $4 for a Diet Coke and no free refills which they do not inform you of.
The atmosphere it super cool and great. But the food left a lot to be desired and I know it was restaurant week but the portions were much smaller than other restaurant weeks I have attended. And the food just feel flat.
Food was tasty, not the best value for what you paid. Our waiter was slow with bringing the bill and hard to locate when we were ready to pay. Place is gorgeous inside and has a fun atmosphere. Worth a visit if you’ve never been.
Our first choice for Restaurant week Chicago. The service was outstanding the food was delicious. Everything was perfect for a nice Friday night with diner and cocktails. We will come back for sure!!
Came here for a birthday dinner with the girls. Very cool vibes and hostess and waitstaff were super nice and willing to help even when we had a couple of extra guests come.
Really slow service. They had minimal tables but a lot of servers. Our server came to our neighboring table 4-5 x before he came to ours. Slow service and really overpriced? I get the theme, I think if it were a smaller space or more ppl would be ok. Also Xmas decorations still up... why???
Overpriced for the small dishes on New Year’s Eve. The food was wonderful, but not enough substance for the price. Also, service was not attentive but 20% was automatically added to the bill for tip. Enjoyed our time but could’ve been better.
New Years Eve Dinner
Food was ok not great
At their prices I expected more limited menu
Very avant- guard looking
The last restaurant on the street
Strange location all alone on the block
