Originally located on Esplanade Avenue, Gabrielle Restaurant re-opened its doors on Orleans Avenue in September 2017 after a twelve year Hurricane Katrina hiatus. Starting with Server, B, he was energetic, knowledgable, patient, and overall a cool guy. The food was seasoned perfectly, flavors were vibrant and balanced. Loved looking at the framed Jazz Festival posters. Great ambiance. I will come back again soon

The food is the best in New Orleans! Service impeccable. Loved the duck and gumbo The roux was perfectly made. Nelson was our waiter and was wonderful, mot intrusive. Met the Chef Graig who was so gracious.

My friend and I went for the Coolinary tasting menu and it was 100% worth every penny. The food was amazing and had really good portion sizes, the gumbo and Jambalaya were seasoned perfectly. The service was great. The drinks were delicious. Absolutely loved their spicy margarita type drink. 10/10 experience would love to go back again.

Going back to before Hurricane Katrina, this restaurant has been one of my favorites. Everything tonight was wonderful. The only things I would recommend would be that the entree selection not be so heavy on meat. There was a fish selection that we chose, only because it seemed to be the only thing that wasn’t meat. Otherwise, and as always, I would highly recommend Gabrielle!

We had been to Gabrielle’s about a year ago, and while we felt the ambience was lacking, the food was very good. This visit I had the duck, as I had before, which was recommended over the pork chop by our server. The duck was very salty, and really tasted more like chicken…it was just ok. My wife had the fish of the day with a crab cake that accompanied it and thought it was pretty good. The Oysters Gabie appetizer was underwhelming. We will not return

First visit to Gabrielle in a while, but have been there many times in past. Food excellently prepared and conceived as usual. Dungeness crab bisque an unusual treat for New Orleans. Excellent choice of main dishes and desserts were satisfying but not over the top. Wine list is more than adequate with regard to types, regions, costs.

We went early on a sultry Summer Saturday evening (5:45) and were the first to arrive. Soon several other lucky tables arrived. The music was low and New Orleans-related; and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The service is superb, friendly and efficient and the food is simply incomparable! You can count on anything you choose from the menu to be prepared perfectly. Gabrielle is a GEM!!

We had a fantastic meal and a lovely evening at Gabrielle‘s. The food was fantastic, the service was delightful and the entire experience, reminds us of why we live in this wonderful city. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet and it’s not crowded or stuffy. The menu is a divine and delicious take on local food with a touch of sophistication, but without being pretentious. We couldn’t eat everything on the menu in one sitting, so we’re looking forward to our next visit.

We had an amazing evening at Gabrielle's last night. The street on which it is located is undergoing major construction, so it is a bit challenging to park and walk to the entrance, but don't let that deter you! Inside it is beautiful, complete with table cloths, lovely light fixtures, and fresh flowers on each table. The tables are set far enough apart to afford some privacy, which is nice. The food was unique, creative, and plentiful. We loved all of the appetizers - especially the Cajun/Asian Grill. The salad choices (warm goat cheese / beet) are marvelous. The double pork chop was wonderful. Our waiter was fun, prompt, and polite. We thoroughly enjoyed our first dining experience, and hope to return soon!!

Thank you for a great dining experience. I was pleased that the bartender was able to accommodate my mocktail request with a surprisingly delicious ginger mint drink. All of my food selections were great as well. My guest and I enjoyed our monthly chatting over a great surprise menu during restaurant week.

An impromptu early dinner for two felt more like a grand feast out on the town. Aside from their regular divine menu, there was also a special restaurant week menu and an "Any Soup, Any Salad, Any Glass of Wine" on the menu for $30.00! With all of the street construction we were still able to easily park very close to the restaurant. I just love an unplanned, last minute, fun, delicious, fine dining experience, and this checked all of the boxes! A great way to spend the first, early evening of summer.

Location is not a good area, outside is not pleasing. Food was good but not worth the price, basically my plate was 2 pieces of protein stacked on top of each other with a dab of wilted spinach, that’s it, no starch or carb. We had to ask if they had a starch and was presented with. Bowl of dirty rice that cost $7! Bit dessert was great! Waitress was awesome.

The food is truly exceptional and the staff are so awesome. It’s has a quaint NOLA feel to it. There is a lot of construction in front right now so parking is a bit of an issue. And it’s a little pricy But it’s worth it!!!
