   Beautiful, elegant and clean restaurant with modern decor. Live music which was not overwhelming and spanned genres. Appetizers, salad, entree and dessert were delicious. The kitchen is still working on timing between getting out foods from different stations simultaneously. Will definitely return for date night or girls night out.

   The food was amazing--osso buco, tagliatelle with a rich creamy sauce of Italian sausage, and the Sebastian pizza with proscuitto and pesto sauce. The pastas, pizza crusts and bread are all made on site using authentic Italian recipes. Desserts of cannoli, rich double chocolate cake and tiramisu were so delicious. Servings are so large that we had leftovers of everything, which tasted great the next day. Our server Carlos was attentive and always there when we needed him. The manager Diego came to our table to be sure the service was what we expected and owner/head chef Antonio also stopped by so we could tell him how happy we were with the food. A great evening to celebrate the end of school!

   Pasta del Mare is very salty. I do not know why is the oysters are also salty. Service is excellent though. Very fast. Place is neat and clean.

   My daughters went to the Cure concert in Chula Vista and my son-in-law snd I just went along for the weekend. Who knew I would find such a gem of a restaurant in Chula Vista. Everything was first class.

   Restaurant is very noisy. service was great, considerate and pastry chef came out to speak to us about our choices. Food tasted well. I do think it was slightly over priced for entrées. Appetizers and dessert was appropriately price. Wine was also appropriately priced.

    Garbatella was amazing - from the aesthetic and ambiance to the food and service. My experience was phenomenal. The selection of wines and drink was vast, the pastas cooked al dente and with clean ingredients. The pizzas were baked to perfection and the salads included the freshest ingredients.     It was May 10, dia de las madres. I made a reservation for 3, we arrived and were given a red rose, which I thought was a great touch for this special day. We were promptly seated and Andres F was our server, very attentive. There were preset menus on the table which I did asked him if it was the only one, to which he responded “yes” Se we ordered, we later noticed tables around us having pizza and other things not on the preset menu. I did not appreciate this. Because it was more expensive and we don’t each that much anyway. We had the beet carpaccio which is delicious, the Brussel sprouts were also very good, then came the Bistecca which was very cold and tough but the french fries were good. For dessert we had the tiramisu; it was very good, can’t say the same about the chocolate cake, it was super dry.

    Got really loud once the band arrived. The server didn’t seem to have any wine knowledge. I order the entree from the cheese wheel which was very clumpy and dry then the person at the table next to me ordered the same thing and it was very saucy. Consistency is off.

    Wonderful fresh Italian food. Pastas are homemade noodle, Lasagne is excellent. Hubby always enjoys the Osso Bucco which comes with flavored rice. Caesars salad is very good.

    Shared with two friends: Priosciutto E Burrata, Bread, Smoked Beet Carpaccio and Capricciosa pizza. All were delicious with an Italian Pinot Noir. The flavors of every dish were delicious and the ingredients tasted so fresh!

    The restaurant has a nice ambience. The hostess was not very friendly. She seemed distracted when we arrived. We had a reservation so we were seated promptly. The server was very nice, he had only been working there 3 days so he was not too familiar with a lot of the menu items. We ordered salads as appetizers and they were very good. We each got the Veal Milanese and we were disappointed about the amount of breading that was surrounding a very very thin piece of veal. We asked for some balsamic Vinegar to counteract all that breading. Although we did like the restaurant (Wine and Prosecco and dessert were good!)...we will not order that veal again.

    So nice to know Otay Ranch has another wonderful dining option. The pasta dishes were excellent! They were not small by any means or chintzy with the meat. They have a nice drink menu as well. We didn’t order dessert from the main menu. However, there’s a fabulous little coffee area with wonderful desserts which we ordered to go. We will definitely be returning.

    Ok. Es un restaurante con mucho que ofrecer. Buena comida, buenos vinos, buena ubicación, pero el servicio es un poco excesivo. Nunca pudimos terminar una conversación de tanta interrupción. Creo deben presentarse menos a la mesa y/o esperar a que uno los llame. Nos interrumpieron al menos 9 veces. Nos presionaron varias veces para que pagáramos nuestra cuenta hasta que lo lograron. Básicamente nos corrieron. Pero si debo ser sincera es de las mejores pizzas y veal parmesano que hemos comido

    This was our first visit to Garbatella and we will definitely return. The service and food were excellent, and our pasta dishes were delicious. The manager stopped by our table and timing of our courses were perfect!

    We went for Easter brunch and I was confused because they didn’t have a brunch menu. They only had breakfast and our resy was for 11:30 am? I asked about the lunch menu and they said lunch wasn’t served until 11:45. Welp by the time our drink order was taken it was 11:45. Made no sense at all quite frankly. Then when I ordered my Bellini I was told they didn’t have passion fruit so I had to them select another option. Then my strawberry pancakes turned out to be lavender with berry compote And final oops was my daughters Lox came out with no Salmon. It is apparent this place is in need of better management and training of servers. We observed the bar staff stocking up their bottles during food service. That is a no no in the business. I was surprised. And the music for a Sunday brunch was way too loud. If it was weekend evenings then yes. But Sunday morning???? I would like to end on a good note the food was delicious and we would go back in hopes of getting better service. Please note this is my 3rd time there and each time Something happened. 😳 I’m am not usually the one to write a review like this but if the management of Garbatella care what their clients think and how this may impact their viability in the future they should really think about this. Not sure who’s training or managing but hoping it is an experienced Person. I hope to experience even better service next time. I’ll give them a try soon. Gracias por leer mi comentario.     The food was great and we really enjoyed the live music and ambiance! I would have given 5 stars if we had better service. We realize that it is a new restaurant and there is still room to learn and grow. Our waiter failed to put in the order for our appetizers, so never received them. It took a few prompts to get our drink orders put in. Our waiter was very apologetic and polite and it was apparent that he just needed more training. We’re hoping to have smoother service on our next dining experience here. We’ll definitely go back. Side note: the dessert menu was not up to date. If you’re looking for really good desserts, take a trip to the front counter to see what the current selection is that day.

    Waitress was fairly responsive and up front about limited menu as kitchen changed from breakfast to full menu. I’m not sure why an upscale Italian restaurant has this need for breakfast but we waited for the full menu items. We started with salads that were fantastic. From that point food took a downturn. My wife for her appetizer had oysters in half shell that were salty tasting and have definitely had better. I had the scallop crudo that I think would have been better more thinly sliced. The risotto was good but the osso buco portion was not as good as I have had before being a semi dry piece of meat; normally the braise has the meat in a nice sauce that was missing from this serving. We mentioned this to the waitress and she agreed and noticed the same on the osso buco presentation was missing the sauce. The wine and my wife’s hot tea was fine. May have to make this my last visit to what I thought was a promising Italian restaurant. I have visited more than a few times and consistency in their cook is a weakness.

    We went in (grp) and it's our first time. The food is ok but pricey( diff price online vs dine in). The server asked us if we want bread and of course we all say yes, we thought it was complimentary( the price was not a prob for the bread, it was not being told that it wasn't complimentary). Water was not refilled at all for 7 people. For the food to come out it took a long time approx >30mins.

    I went to celebrate my friend’s Birthday. The service was great. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The food was great. We had pizza, dessert cannoli and raspberry gelato. It wasn’t crowded. Definitely go again

    The food was expensive for what they serve you. The taste was sub par. We had to ask for a glass of wine 3 times b4 we gave up and ordered a beer. I don't know if the waitress had too many tables and was busy ir she just didn't hustle enough. We were not impressed at all. Bring back Macroni Grill. The only thing we enjoyed was the live music.
