    Enjoyed breakfast and lunch. All the food was excellent. But the quantities are large. So consider sharing a menu item. Beautiful setting in an historic hotel with a beautiful view of the river.

    I made a reservation and could tell the hostess sort of willy-nilly seated us and wasn't sure where to put us. We hadn't sat down yet before she asked us what we wanted to drink so we spontaneously ordered coffee. We were only given one menu with 3 options (mothers day brunch menu) and service was quite slow so we had to wait quite a while to request a regular menu. It wasn't overly busy but perhaps the kitchen was slow because our food also came slowly and our bill took about 20 minutes to get. The food was bland. The waitress was lovely, very friendly and sweet, as was the hostess. Overall, the entire experience was about a 6/10. I probably wouldn't recommend it as I associate the Bess with higher quality than what I experienced and there are many restaurants in Saskatoon with less prestige that would offer a better dining and culinary experience and cost similar.

    A dodgy old room, badly in need of an update. For the cost of the room + parking you’d think breakfast would be included. Just a sad old building neglected & dated.

    The usual breakfast was not usual, the hash browns were cold and rubbery which ruined my entire experience and my guest was not impressed with his breakfast poutine. Not the value I expected for the price paid

    It was supposed to be a Mother’s Day experience and it was so basic. Nothing special about it at all. Food options were limited. I was so disappointed and won’t be going back for any reason, special or otherwise.

    My husband and I went there for a brunch after a wonderful night at the hotel. We loved there, we received an excellent service and food. We’ll go there again and again for sure

    Sadly. I remember the old Bess courtyard. Not the same ambience. . Food came cold. Eggs not done to how ordered. Short staffed. Please hire more.
