We’ve eaten at the Garrison almost every time we’ve stayed at the Fairmont. The ambience is incredible and the staff is attentive and caters to us like we were at a five star resort. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys life.

We came for the duck, but they were out. They saw how disappointed we were so they offered us an oyster and caviar bite plus an appetizer on the house. The level of service was incredible and the food flavors were so unique. My husband “settled” for chicken since they didn’t have duck and he was pleasantly surprised. They did a dairy free version for him and it was still incredibly moist. The flavor from the wood fire was unmatched. The best part of of it all was the charred cabbage with pistachio sauce and strawberry short cake. Best strawberry short cake I’ve ever had.

One of the best restaurants we have ever dined in.......and my wife and I have been around the world several times eating at several Michelson star restaurants. Every detail has been thought thru...from the ambience to the presentations...fantastic food (we had the chicken) etc. This is a hidden pearl. Following our dinner we went into the kitchen to meet and compliment chef Jacob. He was very gracious. We could see this is his passion. 5 stars!

The entrees were actually pretty good. The tater tot appetizer was good. Tasted just like McDonald's hashbrowns. 35$ was alot to pay for McDonald's hashbrowns.

The food is outstanding. Chef Jakub is one of the best in Austin and always delivers. The menu changes about once a quarter and the new additions always raise the bar. The service is always excellent. I think this restaurant misses a lot of the lists for best in Austin due to being in the Fairmont and the atmosphere is different, but the food is fantastic. We high recommend.
