   Our server was terrific. One person has dietary restrictions and he was very attentive. We were able to sit outside and did not find it too noisy at all. We both enjoyed our meal.

   We had a lovley experience. All he staff-especially our wait-person, Jennifer Sarah, wwere awesome and the food and drinks were delicious. Lovely view of the harbor as the light changed.

   Overall, our experience with Gather was good. The space was smaller than expected and felt a bit squished. The restaurant is perfect for a party of 2 or a small group, but it is not ideal for a party of 4 or larger. The menu isn't as extensive as we would hope, but nonetheless, the food was still enjoyable.

   Went to Gather for a casual dinner with my husband. The gin and elderflower liqueur cocktail was great. The octopus app was a bit overcooked. The chowder was good. The flatbread was a bit underbaked and only crisp on a few parts of the edges. The steak was just ok. The server was pleasant but seemed to have a hard time understanding some of our requests. The music system seemed inadequate for the space and was distracting.

   A great location, great design, and great menu for lunch with a view of the harbor and beyond. My Ramen bowl was hot, tasty and filled with good stuff for about $20. A friend raved about her trio of fried shrimp tacos, but another friend was shocked that her $15 Mediterranean plate was mostly raw vegetables and just teeny tiny dishes of humuus in which to dip. Our server was friendly and efficient during a busy Friday lunch hour. Spotless bathrooms. Pricey parking next door.

    The fried chicken sandwich was delicious! My son had a grilled cheese and couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. Our waitress was also amazing!

    There was no host at the stand. We waited a long time to be seated. The food was average. The wings and pasta were good. The Brussels sprouts were mushy. The lobster in the lobster salad was not great. The kitchen was closed at 8:15 when we wanted to order a birthday dessert. Our server did not let us know the kitchen was closing so early.

    We had to wait for quite a while for drinks orders to be taken. Our meal, when it arrived, as very small. We ate it but queried the portion size. The server said that she had given us half a portion each. We had not requested a split serving and are mystified why this happened. There was not much atmosphere in the place and the experience was both underwhelming and resulted in us getting a burger in Shake Shack before returning to our hotel. Not at all what we were expecting, given earlier reviews.

    We had high hopes for this restaurant but upon arrival our welcome was surly. We had an 8pm table but were advised, just as our starters arrived, that the kitchen closed at 9pm so did we want a dessert? No menu ... We declined. The bill was then provided at the same time as our mains were delivered. No enquiry as to whether we'd like more drinks ... or even coffee... Such a shame.

    It took someone 20 minutes to come to the table to take our drinks order. The food came out very quick however was not very good. Asked to split the check and the waiter was very rude and refused. Overall a terrible experience

    Gather is a very cute, trendy restaurant. The service was quick and my server checked in on me often. Overall, all of the staff was very attentive and made me feel valued. Highly recommend this restaurant!

    We were very disappointed in our dinner. Table service was extremely slow - we waited 15 minutes for 2 drinks and then the wrong appetizers were delivered to our table. Dinner was delivered before we finished them, never a good sign. Food was mediocre at best (salads were just ok but worst chicken sandwich ever and soggy fries), which was surprising given the Improper Bostonian award 2 yrs running. Moreover service closet by the hostess stand was left open and napkins etc littered the floor, ruining the atmosphere for a fun night out. We chose this restaurant given its proximity to the Leader Bank pavilion and while it's such a fun space and in a great location, we won't be back and recommend others choose one of the many other excellent dining options in the area.

    They could really use more breakfast options for brunch menu. More egg options and more sides (hash or sausage or veggies) …it’s just bacon and home fries rt now. Also they need real espresso to be able to make coffee drinks and espresso martinis.

    I was hosting family from out of town and Gather was a perfect spot for a casual meal and drinks. Our waiter was friendly and made sure our order got into the kitchen in time (we were a bit late) so we could enjoy the meal and the ambience.

    Several weeks ago, I reserved an outside table for 6:00, before a pavilion concert. I’m one of these people who still does t want to eat inside, so I believed I was safe. Our party of 4 got there on time to be told we had to sit inside, since the patio was full I felt like I was in that Seinfeld episode when he books the rental car, but he doesn’t get the rental car!!! I asked the hostess? Why give the option. The snarkiest of remarks came back to me that “ it’s first come” on the patio. I would have left but for my other companions I am appalled at the way I was treated After that, the service and food were fine. Someone needs to talk to the nasty young woman who should have apologized for the misleading reservation page, instead of giving me a cool brush off

    Absolutely horrendous experience the bar messed up my drink order twice took for ever to come out .. When our food came back (the lobster ravioli & chicken parmigiana) came out they were both cold like they had come out of a fridge or something first time in my life I’ve ever walked out of a restaurant with out eating would not recommend

    The food was delicious- but the service was atrocious. The beer menu is only accessible by going to UnTappd, but this menu is not up to date. I asked for 3 different beers, only to have my server return to tell me they did not have that beer. Server was not familiar with the menu at all- when ordering apps, drinks, entrees- he would ask us to point on the menu to what we wanted, as if we were making up the items and he was unfamiliar. When my entree arrived, it became apparent he didn’t ring in the sides we had also ordered so by the time he came back to our table and checked in and found out we didn’t have sides, we were almost done with our entrees. The food was the only redeeming factor.
