The story of GATTO MATTO

A revolutionary and Avant-Garde Art Deco concept with a flower bar theme that is a fusion between Chicago and Italy. Using premium materials designed and manufactured in Montreal, the elements marry themselves wonderfully. Bright and vibrant colors give a WOW factor that will make you feel like in a modern Milan hotel. The creation of the open kitchen concept never seen before in the Montreal area allows you to see the best chefs in the region at work.

Gatto Matto’s avant-garde and modern Italian menu was developed by our talented chef and co-owner, Ara Ekmekdjian. This multi-dimensional chef first studied the art of classical French cuisine under Richard Bastien at Lemeac. He then focused his attention on perfecting his Italian culinary skills at Beatrice. His desire to master his craft later led him to join the creative team at Le Chien Fumant, where he worked tirelessly to achieve the rank of Chef de Cuisine.

    Nous avons bien aimé le moment passé au bar à prendre l’apéro et ensuite le repas. Très bon service et nourriture. Il pourrait y avoir un peu de choix de vin au verre et réduire un peu les prix. Le reste demeure plutôt positif.

    I came here with my family and was a little worried about how the ambiance would suit our group as we ranger from (13-55) but yet everyone enjoyed the restaurant! From the food to the aesthetic to the music, what a wonderful time!

    Merci à notre merveilleuse serveuse pour le service. De plus, la cuisson des steaks et des filets mignons était à point comme on les avait demander.

    The food was excellent but the only thing is they give you a coupon for the parking and when you get at the gate the coupon apparently was used twice and to get out of that parking I had to pay $30. I was not to happy about that
