Getaway - Gateway Casino London
Great food and value. Constant new and exciting dishes on the menu.
Love the new Tuesday pasta buffet.
The Sunday brunch was my favourite until you started putting barbeque sauce on the ribs which many
people don't want that early in the day or they can't have it at all.
Why not put it on the side for those who want it? Then EVERYONE wins!
Wait staff is often slow.
Very accommodating and friendly staff. Our reservation was lost due to a computer break down on their end. They sat us within minutes of arriving.
Food was great for a great price. We each enjoyed the buffet and were surprised by the quality and the selection. The desserts were lackluster compared to the rest of the buffet. Would like to go back and try
a menu selection next time.
Great value for the money a paid and a nice atmosphere. Can't honestly rate the service fairly as we did a buffet which we requires minimal service from the staff.
We went for the Friday night chefs buffet. Found the ribs to be very tough and grizzly. They were all fatty. We looked around at different tables only to see others not eating the ribs and setting them aside. All the hot dishes were bland. We did find the salads to be good. To me the best item in the hot section was the deep fried shrimp. The service was good. The staff seemed to be happy being there. They were all very pleasant and smiling. We looked at the menu to see what it was like. Found it to be good in variety. Pricing was fair, and portions seemed to be fair for the price point. Would I return for the Friday night buffets. No but would try items off the menu.
We were a little disappointed that we were charged 2.00 for mayo
I booked this place for our regular once a month breakfeast club. There was 8 of us and the response from the group was very positive and happy with my pick.
Thanks for your service..
Went for the prime rib buffet. The meat wasn’t bad, but the options for the buffet were very minimal and the taste was not that great. Really wasn’t worth the $25/person. My husband found the meat to be too buttery. Overall I am sure the menu items are good, I saw some on people’s plates and it looked appealing, but the options for the buffet were minimal.
We were seated in the VIP section. As this was being used as an overflow area, we didn't get very good service. We started referring to VIP as "Very Ignored Persons". The salads were good. The desserts were good except for the Black Forest cake - it was frozen almost solid. This was a buffet meal. The buffet was full the first time we went up. The second time, several of the main course items were all gone. What they referred to as prime rib in gravy was, at best, roast beef in gravy. They could do better - especially as this was New Years Day. I would have paid more for REAL Prime Rib on the buffet (as it is on Saturday nights).
The staff were great, good variety of food options for brunch.
The only thing was that our reservation was for the first time and the buffet table wasn't ready, then hot foods were not hot. The pancakes and french toast seemed undercooked and were sticking to the serving tray.
Had the buffet and the food was either cold or dry. Price isn’t bad but the quality wasn’t great at all. Likely won’t go back
We thought we were going for the Christmas buffet dinner but it turned out it didn't start until later. There was no information about this. Our server was very nice but very scattered. I could see there were many other servers on the floor so it wasn't a matter of having too many tables. We got our soup before our cocktails, and the soup was cold when it arrived. Our food came out quickly and it was good. The people beside us had ordered from the festive menu and had been waiting 45 minutes, so we were worried.
The food was generous and the price was good.
The server was very nice and apologetic, but I would make sure I knew the buffet was on next time.
Great place to eat before playing the slot machines. This Restaurant is exceptionally clean. The glasses sparkle. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is good.
We always like to eat there on a night out, the food is delicious.
The Friday biliffet was disappointing, the food was cold, the road pork was tough and couldn’t cut it. Usually there was a soup ,this time none. The dessert selection small and even with a 2 for 1 coupon not worth the price.
It was easy to make reservation. Chef Stacey went above and beyond to make sure my husband did not have any issues with the buffet. He has a shellfish allergy and there was shellfish on the buffet. No issues and everything was delicious. Thanks for the lovely dinner.
Had buffet and it was terrible. Fried fish was dry and over cooked, popcorn shrimp over cooked, lazy proggies bland, curried chicken was awkwardly sweet. Mixed vegetables clearly were boiled frozen and tasteless. Swedish meatballs were okay and the salad seemed fresh.
Booked on line, received two email confirmations but when we got there we were told no reservation had been booked. I called and no one could give an explanation as to why it wasn't
Big portions, good food and you can talk to each other without having to yell.
Since we were both Seniors would have preferred the servings to be a little less generous. Perhaps
you could advertise "senior portions"> I would be willing to pay the same price for less waste
Lovely birthday dinner with my family!!!food was great as we had buffet and menu, all around nice atmosphere
Exceptional service from our waiter (Rob). Very friendly and attentive. We always ask for him when we dine there as he is very customer focused.
We had the all you can eat ribs. We were too full for more after the full rack but they were amazingly delicious. We waited over 30 mins after ordering for our food to come, the kitchen was behind but certainly not due to it being busy since there were maybe only half a dozen tables being occupied. Our server was impatient, never staying long enough for us to ask for more coffee, a clean spoon, etc.
Everything was great even the gravy but after getting the bill and seeing that we paid $1.00 for the gravy. I don’t think that is right, I think the gravy is part of the beef and should go with it.
Brought our 87 year old mother for her birthday. Res. was 6:30. Ordered dinner at 7 and still no food at 8. Mom was tired and grumpy so we had to leave without eating. Mgr. gave us a casino voucher for$20. Only 2 cooks. No special birthday cake or food offer. We were very disappointed. The offer of dinner for another day gratis would have satisfied our discontent.
My husband and I were very disappointed with our dinner.
It was our lucky 13th Anniversary ..... which I mentioned when I made reservations. It was not acknowledged once.
Our waitress was interested only in chatting with another table. We had to ask for a second coffee and a take out box for my supper and the bill.
My husband had the buffet which he did not enjoy. There was no fresh fruit; no cheese and crackers; no shrimp and sauce. no cakes or pies.
We will not return again.
The food was really good, great 👍 prices and friendly service
We always enjoy our time at Getaway restaurant at the London Casino. The food always tastes great. The staff is friendly. The prices are reasonable.
Really went to try the crab dip appetizer. They didn't have it. Ordered coconut shrimp instead. It was forgotten and came after the salad. Our entree came 2 minutes later. Prime Rib delicious but had to eat most well done end because the other was raw and tasteless even though I like medium rare. Our second time there and both visits were disappointing. It was all really lack-luster. Won't be back.
Table was ready on time. Server was great and attentive. Food was perfect. Overall experience was outstanding
