With a name that means "cozy or nice atmosphere, but also belonging and general togetherness," gezellig invites guests to experience an elegant menu of local, seasonal cuisine using french techniques in a casual and welcoming environment. Located in Ottawa, Ontario, gezellig prepares each menu item using high-quality ingredients purchased locally. On the menu are items such as seared scallops, braised beef shortibs, potato gnocchi, beef tartare, duck breast, and wild-caught lingcod. Our classic butterfinger for dessert is a staple that has been on our menu since opening in 2012

Brunch at Gezellig was a true celebration! Inviting surroundings, welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere, drinks prepared with panache, and an exciting, scrumptious array of interesting choices, tapas style but better - 2 small (but not tiny!) plates for $28 dollars and a range of intriguing choices. Soup of the day was outstanding beet, apple, ginger, with blue cheese topping! We came to casually mark an upcoming family wedding and we all felt feted and fed beautifully! Even though they close at 2pm, no one rushed us out. A delightful experience!

Creative and plentiful brunch. Love the option to order 2 smaller plates. Accommodating to our youngster as well. Delicious.

Amazing service, ambiance, and food. They also provide gluten-free options, which I immensely appreciate as someone with celiac disease. This is one of my wife and my favourite restaurants in Ottawa, hands down.

Service was excellent. Attentive but not intrusive. Could not have asked for a better server. The food was amazing with a beautiful presentation. Always a go to restaurant for a special occasion.

We came from NB and chose this restaurant for our 45th anniversary dinner. Great choice!!! Food was awesome. Had 3 courses and drinks. Our server James was extraordinary!!!
