Gia is a vibrant plant-forward 36 seat restaurant, specializing in handmade pasta with creative takes on Italian classics, like plant-based meatballs, arancini, lentil risotto, polenta, focaccia, gnocchi pomodoro, porcini agnolotti. We are open for lunch Fridays and Brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Reservations: We allocate a dining period of 2 hours and typically book at 6pm and 8pm & 10pm,
If you need more than 2 hours kindly let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate.

The service was very good, almost too prompt with the removal of dishes. We could have lingered a bit longer. Good recommendations. The food was also very good, though a little rich. That could be remedied with different selections. I would have liked to have seen more vegetables in the dishes. The ambiance was good but not great. The space is tastefully designed, though the floor plan is quite narrow, the noise level a bit high and the front of the space was drafty (for winter dining). Overall a nice spot for a good meal.

The food was not as good as I remembered it. My fish was not that great (I had lentils) and there was a lot of oil. The olive oil cake was also not as good as the last time

My experience at GIA was fantastic all the way through. I started with the Domaine Olivier Pithon, which is a heavy, red wine from France. It ended up being a good pairing with the Eggplant Parmesan entree they offered, which was also amazing. My favourite dish was the Crostini, which is a sourdough topped with lemon ricotta and pear slices (definitely recommend). I finished my dinner with the Affogato dessert (vanilla ice cream with Espresso), which made for an amazing dinner experience. The service was great as I didn’t have to wait long for any of the items I ordered. My server Lorraine was attentive and warm which I appreciated. Brooke was also hospitable and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy with the dim lights and pink LEDs, creating an intimate vibe. GIA was a 10. I definitely recommend.

My girlfriends and I went for dinner to celebrate our birthdays and you did not disappoint. The venue is gorgeous! The service was amazing - our server share her favourites and offered wine recommendations to go with our food. And the FOOD!!! Artfully displayed and so tasty. We all loved every bite and then desserts were beautifully presented and delicious as well. Go! Get the focaccia bread with whipped honey butter and the mushroom agnoletti and the affocado for dessert.

We had a great time per usual. The only reason we did not give 5 stars is due to the missed opportunity by the server to sell more. We were celebrating a bday (we made notes and there was no mention of it), but we were there to spend! Our server was friendly but she spent more time walking back and forth empty handed and talking to the bartender than checking on us or taking orders. I could have had more cocktails if they had been more attentive. We were not looking to be oversold but she definitely could have put a little effort into it. It’s a balance. We still love the place but wanted to provide that feedback cause we want you to make all the $$!

Lovely ambiance. Moderately friendly server. Creative menu. My partner hated her meal (truffle pasta). I loved mine (porcini pasta). Our guest was meh (eggplant parm). Wouldn't recommend. Absolutely underwhelming.

We had a phenomenal time at GIA. Stacy and the team always do such an amazing job. A highly recommended spot even for those who who aren’t veg/vegan. Some of the best pasta dishes in the city, and the new brunch is excellent!

I took my friend out for her birthday dinner. She is very picky but enjoyed everything I ordered. Picante and Bramble cocktails were great! We ordered the Zucchini carpaccio, Burrata and Fried artichokes as appetizers and all were tasty. We shared 2 mains, Eggplant Parmesan and the Porcini Agnolotti were so delicious. Service was wonderful and the Tiramisu dessert was the perfect ending to lovely dinner. I will definitely come back.

We were a group of 6 so we had to get the set menu. The appetizers were delicious! But as a vegan, I only had one option of main course and sadly it wasn't pasta. I would have loved to taste some pasta! I had previously been to Gia and loved them.

Overall we really enjoyed our dinner experience at GIA and will return. The waitress was very friendly and responsive, the ambiance just bright enough and cozy. The pasta dishes were very delicious, but I would say a bit on the salty side. Seems increased salt is an industry wide trend lately, even at the finer restaurants. We do wish the menu had more selection of fresh salads & vegetable dishes.

The cocktail unfortunately was too salty by the time it has warmed and not a pleasant invention. The pea pasta was similarly over salted and the pasta was a bit doughy to bite into. I feel it is overpriced and the seating was too cramped for a relaxed evening.

Food a bit on saltier side. Appetizers came very quickly but a long wait after that for the mains. Desserts were ok at best. But the staff accommodated our requests nicely. Meatballs were great and so was mushroom pasta.
