Food was excellent but the server was unfriendly and cleared our plates before we were finished without asking. The whole experience felt very rushed creating an unpleasant dining experience.

The food and ambiance were great! We ordered almost everything on the menu and shared all the plates. We had all the appetizers. And 3 of the pasta dishes. The new corn ravioli dish was delicious. Actually all the dishes were delicious. You don’t have to be vegetarian or vegan to go. We aren’t and found all the food delicious. Presentation was also beautiful! Compliments to the chef!

Great as always. Noise was a little loud but we asked and it got adjusted. Problem wasn't it was loud. Lively atmosphere . Makes sebse. Just a little too loud for a date. It's a little awkward to have to tell. Service and food were great.

I am so glad we found Gia! We are trying to eat less meat and so we wanted to try their offerings - and it was a meal where we didn't miss meat at all! Everything we had was delicious. The arancini were spectacular, and we shared a few pastas and loved every one we had. The corn ravioli was a perfect Ontario fall dish! Service was excellent. We've already told friends how great the dinner was and we can't wait to go back.

We sat on the patio and had a great evening. The vegan meatballs were DELISH and their homemade pastas were cooked perfectly Al dente.really helpful servers were very attentive. We will definitely be going back.

We had great expectations for this restaurant. The taste of food was very good but unfortunately the portions were very small. I should add that we never have a problem with small portions in restaurants. Our group shared a few appetizers in anticipation of the main course which turned out to be tiny. Everyone was still hungry, so we ordered deserts which we very rarely do. The deserts were huge and we all commented that the ratio of the main course to desert was reversed. Leaving, we felt a bit sick from all the sugar overload. The waiter should've warned us that we need to order way more appetizers before our main course. Or order double mains for everyone. Disappointing.

Super Friendly service and great food. We had the baked Brie, stuffed zucchini blossoms, and focaccia for starters. They were all delicious! The focaccia was light, fluffy and crispy. The baked Brie was served with walnuts and an apricot preserve. So good! The zucchini blossoms had a light crispy batter and were stuffed with a creamy cheese and served with a delicious herby sauce. We had two different pastas for our entrees. One was stuffed with porcini mushrooms with a light tasting buttery sauce. I’m still thinking about how amazing it was! The other pasta was a special ravioli stuffed with cheese and corn and topped with a buttery corn sauce and hazelnuts. Both pastas were outstanding!

First time there. As a vegan who’s been to many other vegan and/or plant based restaurants, I rate GIA highly. Food is really good. Not for being vegan, just plain good. Service was great and friendly. Chill little place in the city.

We first had dinne at Gia in June to celebrate an Anniversary and the meal was exemplary - we couldn't wait to come back! So we decided to take our friend for a birthday celebration. The restaurant is lovely and the staff are amazing, but our meals were decidedly so-so. The zucchini blossoms - which were incredible during our 1st visit - had a modified recipe - the breading was heavy and overall it was bitter. My main was fine, but a bit salty and not particularly flavourful. My husband had the same dish as our first visit (the Maitake mushroom) and his response was the same as mine. Much better the 1st time. Would I come back? Maybe - if someone else was paying.

Having visited GIA in the past, we were rather disappointed with this experience. For the most part, the taste of the food was good, but it is evident that certain things have changed, and not in a good way. The dishes were all sparsely garnished in compared to other visits…the meatballs had next to no mozzarella, the tonarelli tartufo was garnished with minimal slices of truffle, and the olive oil cake has visibly shrunk. Even the piccante pasini, while delicious, was only a few sips in size. The biggest disappointment was the roasted maitake. It was burnt and quite literally arrived like a block of oyster mushrooms. The flavours were bitter and it was hard to tell exactly what I should have been tasting. For the price, it presented itself as more of a mushroom side dish, than a main. We would have addressed it with our server but no one came to check up and see if the food was okay through the entire meal. For what we have come to expect from GIA, last night was a let down. It may be some time before we decide to return.

It was a wonderful experience from the time we arrived to the time we left. The service was great and the food was exceptional. We all enjoyed our meals. The food prices were also great and less than expected for the quality of the food. We found it to be less expensive than mid range chain restaurant but the food was superior in quality and taste. Definitely recommend it and planning to go back soon.
