Gia is amongst the first restaurants in Canada to be recognized and recommended by the renowned Michelin Guide. Gia is a vibrant plant-forward 36 seat restaurant, specializing in handmade pasta, with creative takes on Italian classics, like plant-based meatballs, focaccia, and porcini agnolotti.
For the Holiday season in December we are open for lunch Thursday & Friday.
Reservations: Kindly note if availability on OpenTable appears limited, we are fully BOOKED; however, feel free to reach out to us by phone daily after 4pm to inquire about last-minute cancellations. We are grateful for your interest and look forward to hosting you!

    Wonderful hidden gem. Great food and ambiance. We went for our wedding anniversary. Our dessert was sent with a candle to help us celebrate. The tastes were great. I had the mushroom agnolotti and they were so flavourful and delicious. My husband had the rigatoni and that was delicious too. The gem salad was so delicious, fresh and crisp. We would go back.

    The food was incredible. The meatballs actually tasted like meatballs. Had to do a double take. The portion sizes for the mains are generous. And the seasonal sides was delicious. We were originally seated at the bar and they moved us to a table. Staff were very friendly as well.

    just very average… the linguini al limone did not taste like limone, the “tiramisu” was vanilla ice cream and I mean the food in general was not even close to being Italian. Our server was really nice tho :) Overall, from a real Italian person in toronto, you can go with some friends to give it a try, however I tried way better places

    Food was very good. But it all came too fast. Wine was not even opened on table when mains arrived. Rapid fire. All felt rushed. Would go back as good was very good and waitstaff was great.

    I had the absolute worst tasting meal of my life here. It was my second time going and did not expect this. The service was 10/10 the manger took the uncooked food of the bill. I did still leave feeling unsatisfied and hungry.

    Celebrated a birthday at this restaurant. The whole party loved the delicious food, service, and amazing wine selection. If all Vegetarian food tasted this amazing, I'd eat way less meat. Will definitely be back

    We had a great time at Gia. The food is very fresh with flavours that delight the senses. Each dish was executed well and paired nicely with their cocktail offerings. Gia is a great place to relax and have a nice meal with friends without being too overbearing or pretentious.

    Went here because of an American Express dining offer so I was on a fixed menu but the items were incredible. The meatballs were large and satisfying and the pasta (rigatoni bolognese) was detailed and had a variety of flavours. The green bean side dish was a standout with a unique taste. The restaurant is fairly small and can feel cramped but the atmosphere and service made up for it and then some. Only issue I faced was that although I was on a fixed menu, 1 of the mains (out of 4) and 1 of the desserts (out of 3 or 4) were not available at the time. Overall outstanding experience and food.

    This is my second time at Gia and I will return again and often. It is a great restaurant and it has great Italian food all done with plant-based sustainable and where possible local ingredients. Amazing. You will NOT miss meat!

    Awesome food, space and service. The focaccia and meatballs were an absolutely delicious start, and the porcini agnolotti was unreal. We were well taken care of and had a wonderful Monday evening.

    The music was WAY too loud, and was (negligibly) reduced only after requesting it be turned down multiple times. This turned a special evening with friends, into aural fatigue, hoarse voices, an all-around unpleasant environment to converse. We had several questions about masking policy deferred and ignored by the manager even though the maitre 'd and a server tried to follow up. However we were quite please with the the 0%abv cocktails. My Partner being a teetotaler, was still able to enjoy a nice drink with her meal.

    For starters, we had 3 appetizers; good enough to make us full. 😬 Everything tasted good, it’s just that we find the focaccia a bit on the salty side. Risotto was delicious and I love the nutty flavour coming from pistachio nuts. First time to eat handmade pasta and their spaghetti pomodoro was delicious. By the time our dessert was served, my hubby and I were so full, we didn’t get the chance finish our plum olive oil cake. But not to worry, I had it packed for to go. ☺️

    The food was absolutely outstanding and so was the service. The decor is beautiful and the ambiance is casual and cozy. The vegetarian options on the menu were clearly labeled which I appreciated a lot. The music was at a good noise level but didn't really fit the atmosphere. Everything else was so great that it didn't spoil anything at all.
