   This is my second time eating here. My first experience was great, but sadly, I did not find this visit as enjoyable. There was a number of issues with the food. Most noticeable was the fried calamari app. The breading was very hard. My guest actually cut the roof of her mouth trying to eat it. Also, I order the lobster mac/cheese side dish as my main course. There were only 4 very small pieces of lobster in the bowl. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is great, but I left dissatisfied.

    GIARDINO is always my go to dining for any occasion. I can count on good food and excellent service always. I choose this restaurant for birthdays and business gatherings and anytime in between. The owner is beautiful and makes certain my dining experience is excellent. If you haven’t been to this gem of a restaurant yet, make a reservation this weekend!

    Everything about Giardino’s was great! Staff super friendly and attentive. The energy and “buzz” was so good. Nice mix of people and neighborhood locals. An unexpected surprise with all the appeal of a fine restaurant in downtown San Diego or Little Italy. Loved it and I can’t wait for my next visit to this little Lemon Grove gem.

    Birthday dinner for a dear friend. Pear salad was incredible. Cold beer served in chilled in glasses. Cioppino was delicious and a very generous serving. Service was awesome!

    Went for the Valentine day special. Appetizers came out super quick. Main course took much longer about 30-40 minutes later. Steak was order as medium but came out well done. Everything was okay overall, but it wasn’t necessarily great. I would go again to try something different. Servers were nice and doing their best with a busy night and large crowd.

    Giardino is easily my favorite restaurant to go. Their food is amazing with generous portions and amazing flavor. They have wonderful crafted cocktails as well as a large wine selection and beer. Karina (the owner) greets everyone and has decorated the space beautifully as well as a generous outdoor seating area with fire pits. I recommend Giardino to everyone.

    What a wonderful find and neighbor gem. I had been wanting to eat here for nearly a year. Parking was tight but we had early reservations so not to much trouble. Service was amazing. Teresa, our server told us she was a regular customer when she found out they were hiring. She was attentive, friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go back and try the regular menu.

    We attended for my daughter's birthday. There were 9 of us in the interior room. It was a perfect spot for a group our size. We had attentive and quick service, and the drinks and food were all excellent. Will definitely return.

    We just love the authentic Italian food, the wonderful beer & wine list and the comfortable atmosphere at Giardinos. 1/2 off wine on Wednesdays is definitely a bonus! Nice people, great restaurant!

    I come here often and have never been disappointed. The food is incredible, and although they are always busy, service is great and fast. The outdoor patio is my favorite place to sit for lunch or dinner

    We love coming to this place. The food, the wine, the ambiance are always so nice. If I had to choose one complaint it would be that they don't bus the table during our meal. We had to keep putting our used dishes and glasses on the empty table next to us because our table was small and full of glasses and dishes and food. There were plenty of opportunities for them to clear the items, but they would just drop off food and then leave without clearing other items. Weird. But obviously we enjoy this place enough to keep coming back!

    There was a large party of women celebrating a birthday that was very loud and the restaurant seems to echo. They could use to have more things on walls or ceiling to keep sound from traveling throughout. Good food and wonderful service though

    I ordered the margarita pizza that looked like it had been baked in the oven for five minutes. Dough was not even done or even browned on either side. Tasted bad due to raw dough. My husband wanted garlic bread which he said was OK and I thought was absolutely gross. Huge chunks of garlic and some kind of brown drizzle. The breadsticks, that you do not have to pay for were actually very good. Husband ordered meat balls and spaghetti, which he said was only OK. Except for the breadsticks, nothing was super good and the noise level was off the charts! For the price I would go to a higher end restaurant that is quieter and more relaxing that knows how to brown a pizza crust and make decent garlic bread which you are charged for by the way!

    We went on a Thursday night, early, 4:30. There were a couple other tables with people so it was not crowded. We made reservations which at that time weren't really needed. Our waitress said there were 80 reservations for that evening though so the place does get very crowded, and I would recommend making reservations. Anyway, the food was outstanding as well as the service. Four people in our party one had the salmon one had margarita pizza one had lasagna and one had the fettuccine carbonara. All the meals were 5 stars. Thev also have a nice dessert menu although we were to full for dessert.

    Sat outside on patio and it was very comfortable with heaters on. Had truffle flatbread, amazing. Arancini as an appetizer and some Truffle Risotto as well to share. The food and service did not disappoint. We will be back for sure and recommend always to all our friends.

    It was our first time eating here. Even though the is on a very busy, loud street, they have it decorated where it mutes a lot of the stuff happening outside the patio. The parking sucked (there are maybe 10 spots behind), but we were able to park down the street in the dirt in front of some businesses that had closed for the day. We both enjoyed our food immensely! We did, however, have to wait 45 minutes for it to come out. Thankful our appetizer came out pretty quickly. The waitress must've been distressed by the food wait time as I heard her telling the table next to us theirs would be coming out soon and she was sorry for the wait. It was a Friday night and maybe they got hit with more people than they thought they would have because it was a nice, clear night after the rain or maybe they were missing a staff member that night. Either way, it was worth the wait. I had salmon and it was like butter, well seasoned and very, very good. My husband had the chicken parmigiana and it was super yummy. We will be back!

    Giardinos it’s a little slice of Italy. The food is authentic Italian. Absolutely delicious. Service is very good. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.It’s our favorite place to go when we want to spoil ourselves. The owner Karina is absolutely precious. We’ve been going since the day she opened the doors. We went there for New Year’s dinner my husband had lasagna, it is always amazing and I had the fettuccine maremonte . So good! We also went the day after Christmas my husband had the steak and I had the salmon. They were excellent. They have indoor and outdoor dining. We’ve also use the private room for parties, that’s really a special experience. She also has Zest wine bar ten steps away, so you can continue your partying. Or go there for appetizers or a meal. I highly recommend this place we absolutely love it.
