Brothers/Chefs Klodjan & Renato Hoxha run the kitchen while the sister/GM Eri handles the front. Parents are also involved in the business operation on a daily basis. The Hoxha family was born in Albania and moved to the United States in 2003, seeking the American dream. The family has 15 years of experience in cooking. Gios has become one of our favorite restaurants in Myrtle Beach. We’ve gone numerous times and it never disappoints. We’ve had their pasta, meatballs, sausage, seafood and various sauces. All excellent. Their bread is served warm with oil and butter. I have to stop myself from eating the entire basketful. Their salad that comes with entrees is also good. Every server we’ve had has been wonderful. If you’re looking for great food, excellent service in a nice atmosphere, I highly recommend.

Our recent visit had us return the same week to fully experience the exceptional service by Alex and Jasmine or bartender team for another great dinner with guests at the bar!! We enjoyed our dinners very much. I do recommend that while describing the specials, it would be helpful to include the price at the end of each description. It was a bit shocking to find out that one of the specials was $70. We had a very personable waiter (Chris) and the food carriers were very pleasant. The food was delicious! The salad was good and perhaps more dressing choices would be nice. One more suggestion…it was a little too chilly. Overall, we were all very pleased with the food and the service.

I had the purse ravioli and my husband had mussels. Food is always good. Olive oil and bread is awesome, authentic Italian. Cheesecake was great also. We’re here monthly and always go there for Italian.

Food and service were excellent. Wine list is not extensive but has a good variety of quality wines at reasonable prices. Atmosphere is upscale Italian but not stuffy or pretentious. Wait staff is well trained and attentive. One of our “go to” restaurants.

Sarah was our server and as always she takes excellent care of us. Husband had the soup of the day creamy broccolini which he said was good. I had house salad which is always fresh Husband had his favorite dish veal Sorrentino and I had eggplant Parmesan. Both dishes beautifully prepared and delicious. The only two downsides are the level of music which makes everyone talk louder to be heard and the air conditioning which requires a heavy sweater to be comfortable and it really makes food cool down quickly. Other than that it was another great experience. Thank you Sarah.

This is a return visit. Shared the calamari; was excellent. Both entrees excellent too- chicken Parmesan and spaghetti Americana. Service was slower than last visit due to staff being “short,” but our server remained pleasant and apologetic. We’ll be back!

Gios was recommended to me by several friends and I’m glad they steered me there. Loved it. There were 6 of us in our party. We all loved our entrees. The service was wonderful. If it is crowded it can get pretty loud in there but that makes for some of the fun. Moderately priced for the area. I will go back soon!! Try it, you’ll like it!!

Food and service were very good as always. This visit it was VERY loud and raucous, largely owing to two tables, one of which had 3 young children just bellowing. They were loud beyond comfort without consideration for the rest of us there. Mentioned it to our server but she was serving those tables too and I guess felt uncomfortable doing anything. Thus the drop from 5 stars to 4. Otherwise, great place, great food.

Wonderful service starting from the hostess and continuing with our attentive server, Anna. We had a delicious unrushed meal with lots of delights. The soup and salads were excellent and the crusty Italian bread was reminiscent of New York. Everyone was happy with their chosen meals and had food to take home with them. An superb dining experience from start to finish.

Meal was great. Only complaint I would have would be my drink. I ordered a cosmo and it arrived with approximately 1 tablespoon of liquid. It was literally a sip in a tiny decorative martini glass. When asked if I wanted another, I asked the waitress to please make it a regular drink. Next one was normal, albeit about 3 tablespoons.

Our anniversary dinner here was great. The chicken parm, scallops, calamari, and desserts were very tasty and the atmosphere was upscale and romantic but not stuffy. We look forward to returning!

Second time back in a week and it was definitely better than the first time. The service was a lot more friendlier. The only complaint I had the first time was that the server told us they don’t do birthday celebration, huh? What restaurant doesn’t help you celebrate birthday celebrations? However, kudos to the chef for wonderfully prepared meals.

I am an accomplished cook & very picky so we tried a few simple dishes on this 1st visit. My husband ordered lasagna & soup & loved both. I tried the mussels appetizer, four-cheese ravioli & salad. Everything was homemade, even the raviolis. The salad was surprisingly crisp & so fresh with homemade blue cheese dressing. All sauces are truly sop-bread worthy! Gios earned 5 stars from us. We’ll be returning many times! Can’t wait to try some veal dishes.

Wonderful, warm service, candles on the table. Great wine list. We started with the calamari. This is so much better than your typical calamari! I had the chicken Marsala, so so good. My husband had the meatballs and sausage. Again so fresh and the flavors were so good. You can really tell everything is made in-house and with love.

Everything was fantastic, the server Sarah amazing, the food was fantastic as always. The soup of the day parmesan zucchini and rice was excellent. Chicken Piccata never disappoints The sausage and meatballs with the vodka sauce was excellent. NOW to the NOT SO GOOD. We usually sit in the area to the left of bar and the volume of music is way overbearing and the music itself is lacking. So if you want to be heard you yell over music and everyone else who is also loudly trying to have conversations makes the experience less than what it could be. Hoping it gets tuned down for our next dining experience.

We were there yesterday with our friends celebrating our wedding anniversaries. Our server was polite, informative and very friendly. On her suggestion, we tried the daily special the risotto with seafood.....it was simply delicious. 3 of us at the table had it and we were so impressed with the dish...outstanding. We also both had appetizers which were delicious. If you have never been to this restaurant, you must go!!! Cannot say a good things about it and looking forward to our next visit.

Another great dining experience at Gio's. I had the Veal Marsala and husband ordered Renato's Favorite. Both were excellent. Service was good but slow. Waited 15 minutes for drink orders. :-(. The food was great and worth the wait. It was noisy, as always. A fun place to dine.

We sat in an anti room across from the bar, since there was a party in the rear room. The volume of noise as people were talking got louder and louder — we could barely hear ourselves. Noise level aside, we had a wonderful server in Anna — she was attentive, professional and everything you could ask for. The food was outstanding, we will definitely go back again.
