   Always extremely attentive service. The team works well together. They have the most amazing soups that we order every single time, and their homemade pasta is outstanding! I had the squid ink linguini this time and I absolutely loved it. Couldn’t more highly recommend Giovanni’s!

    Always a treat to eat at Giovanni's. The service is amazing. Cris takes great care of the guests and makes us all feel special and welcome. The food is dependably terrific. Highly recommend them to anyone wanting an incredible meal. I'll definitely be back. I bring customers, friends, and my only family to eat here. Nice gem slightly off the beaten path. The tourists can go crowd all the other new places!

    Restaurant was beautiful and the food was very good. However, when the table next to us got loud and talking loudly about inappropriate noises gets out eg. lap dances from 12 girls and what they did to hm. The wait staff either ignored the situation or where oblivious. I am not suggesting they move the people but maybe should have asked if we would like to move. I was dinning with my 18 year old girl who is not old enough to drink wine but apparently old enough to listen to men talk about body shots off the strippers stomachs. The situation was inappropriate and handled poorly by the staff.

    Overall, the food was quite bland, including rigatoni and lasagna. Portions were very small for the high price. Only positives were service and tiramisu. Sadly, I've had tastier meals at Fazoli's.

    Our second visit and last night didn’t come close to meeting expectations. We had an early reservation before a show and despite the place being quite empty the put us at a small table in a busy walkway. The special antipasto was decent but not great. We told our server that we planned to split our entree choices and requested that they handle that in the kitchen if possible, which didn’t happen. Overall just a very mediocre experience with a tab for 2 over $300…

    This is the place to go for authentic Italian food! The pastas and the fish dishes are always so good. The artichoke appetizer is the best ever. In addition, service is attentive, friendly, and helpful. Love this restaurant!

    Old style kitch Italian, maybe for older people. The food was good but totally out of price. Nothing below 32$ for pastas and more for meat seems unreasonable. Very dark lighting. Overall you will eat well but the overall experience is like going to an Italian restaurant in 1980. So many good restaurants in Nashville, unfortunately not worth it.

    The atmosphere and ambience was quite nice, however, for the price, the food was rather cheap. The chicken Parmesan quality was very bad, tasted like it was fresh out of a Kroger supermarket, definitely not worth the price. The desert we ordered melted before I had the chance to even eat, whoever’s idea it was to put hot espresso on ice cream needs to be checked. Not worth the price, and should not have any relation to New York style Italian food

    Giovanni's has authentic Italian food and makes all their pastas from scratch. My husband's lasagna was very good. My ravioli was good, but I requested that grilled chicken be added to it, and they forgot it until I had eaten half the ravioli. They did remove the charge for the grilled chicken from our bill, however. The servers took my husband's tea glass several times to refill it, but one of those times they never brought it back, so he had to ask for another glass. The dark chocolate mousse was amazing and literally melted in your mouth. Giovanni's was good overall, but there are other Italian restaurants in Nashville that we like just as much or better for a comparable price or less.

    If you want a quiet high quality Italian meal this is the place. Every restaurant in town seems ridiculously loud. Not this one. Great ambiance, great service, very good food. We will return.

    This was my first visit. I liked the decor, our table faced a pantry/storage area and wasn't great despite a reservation & request for a nice table. The service was slow. The food was pretty good. I would consider returning for a drink and appetizer in the bar… It looked very cozy. Not sure that I would return for dinner. It's fairly loud & I wish the piano player had played longer.

    Amazing every time. Had the bolognese and the Bronzino and both were perfect. I called ahead and they had a bottle of Sassicia decanted and waiting for us. There is no better option for Italian in Nashvikke.

    Absolutely amazing! We hosted a rehearsal dinner and welcome cocktail party for our son’s wedding. Everything was fantastic from the reservation and planning process to the excellent Italian cuisine, atmosphere and service! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and they definitely exceeded our expectations!!
