The food was amazing! Service not so much. There were several staff members who all seem bothered with us and at some times even rude. It was my husband’s 50th Birthday and asking for a dessert after dinner and 2 bottles of wine for the 4 of us was an inconvenience and waiter had to ask manager about it and then served it with an attitude. A bit disappointed with the experience.

Wonderful service and experience. Two of the dishes that we ordered were specials and they were wonderful. I asked the server if I could substitute an ingredient and he was adamant about me not doing so and I’m glad he did because it made the dish. Mad respect for speaking up. Will be back

Always great to be at Giovanni to enjoy the company of Cris and his amazing staff. As usual, everything was perfect. The spinach ravioli with brown butter and sage sauce is always our go-to opener. The Carpaccio is delicious and we both had Veal Piccata as our entree. Spot on as always. We finished with the Gelato trio, crème brûlée and limoncello, all perfectly prepared. Always good to be home. Hi Cris!

The food was amazing! We had the Veal and the Ravioli entrees and the calamari and meatball app. Each dish was deliciously homemade and presented beautifully. Our waiter was outstanding. I would defiantly go back.

Unfortunately the food was just not up to par. Started with some bread then a wedge salad and calamari. Ordered gnocchi with sausage. Gnocchi was served with a cream sauce but we were expecting a traditional red, maybe my fault for not reading the menu. Sausage was a cut up link and way over cooked. It was hard in some spots, horrible. We sent it back and asked for gnocchi with red sauce no sausage. It came out within a few minutes later, but I swear the red sauce tasted like it came from a can a spaghetti-o’s. Like exactly like canned spaghetti-o’s. Wondering who they paid to strain out the o’s. Also ordered veal scapoline and the veal was three pieces of meat, paper-thin, 2x3 inches. Desert was good and so was the wedge salad. Ambience was darkish romantic but is an open area with tables about 4 feet apart. Was hoping for better but unfortunately this was a total disaster.

I am sorry you did not enjoy your visit here. Firstly the menu says that our gnocchi is served in a gorgonzola cheese sauce. It is not our problem if you cannot read. Secondly to add sausage to that dish is a crime. Thirdly if our tomato sauce was no good we would not have survived 27 years in Mid-town Manhattan and 15 in Nashville since the most important single thing that Italian cuisine is judged by is pomodoro sauce! Thankfully we have a very faithful clientele that knows just how good we are.

They seem to be more concerned with ambiance and presentation then flavor. We both thought the food is better at Maggiano's or even Olive Garden than here. I wish we had gone to Kayne Prime as I first intended.

This restaurant was everything we hoped for and more! The wait staff was very attentive to our needs but still allowed us to have our conversations. The food was absolutely amazing! The Maitre D kept arguing with our server & it was very distracting. I’ve heard wonderful reviews about the food, but ours didn’t deliver. The salmon was overdone & crispy. The bread was delivered with a bottle of olive oil, but no extras to add to a “dip” like you get at a less expensive restaurant. The caprese salad was very plain with just sliced tomatoes & mozzarella without basil or dressing. It sounds like I am nitpicking, but for the atmosphere & prices the food didn’t hit that bar. It might have been the arguing creating a bad attitude on kitchen staff & chef.

We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was amazing. The service was top tier. The food was PHENOMENAL. And the pianist was incredible and so kind. They also had free valet!!! Highly highly highly recommend.
