The food was good as was the service but they failed to disclose that they charge $9.50 for water. I asked for flat water and my partner sparkling so it was a nasty surprise when we saw a $19 fee just for water when the bill came. Also the Italian rock radio station they played combined with their fancy decor was jarring in a funny way.

We were treated very well by everyone working, even those who were not directly seeing to our table. Our server was exceptional. The food was very good. Our portions were extremely generous. In fact, we thought that our salads were too big (meal size). The ambience and cleanliness were 10/10.

Giovanni’s is always one of my favourite restaurants for any occasion. The food is always great and the service is amazing. I’ve been dining here for around 10 years and it’s exceptional every single time. Special mention to Carson for always providing memorable service.

Great service, very basic food. There are surely better restaurants in the area, this place comes with a price tag that I still can’t figure out. No local ingredients, not that fresh, over cooked pasta, weird lighting, lots of staff. It was a weird vibe.

Dinner was delicious, but very expensive. Personally have had gnocchi that I liked more from other local restaurants (Mumma Grazzi, and Frattelli’s) service was incredible though!

This is such a gem! I needed a place to meet someone coming into town and this met the mark. It was easy to get to, close enough to downtown and a full service experience. We had lunch and it was quiet, our waiter was polite and responsive, the food was to die for, we had a great time. This is a new fave for me.

The atmosphere is elegant, upscale and yet comfortable. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding. We ordered the escargot as an appetizer and two veal dishes as our mains. The peppercorn cognac cream sauce (Involtini di Vitello) is heavenly. The dessert menu had some Italian favourites (tiramisu, cannoli) as well as more innovative creations. We will be back.

Have been to Giovanni's many times for special occasions and am never disappointed. Fast, professional service, excellent food. Our only complaint is the very high noise level as there are many tables in a fairly small room.

The hostess was great and they took our coats when we came ine and seated us right away. The waiter was very nice but a little too quick on getting us to order. The food was ok for the price, I had the Piatto Assortito and the Manicotti was dry, no sauce, lasagna and veal were good. My friends took the Manicotti and the Cannelloni and there was not much sauce either. For the price I don't think we will be return for a while.

The staff are amazing, but the food was a little flat. My chaser salad was over dressed and the Chicken Marsala was bland, no flavour pop. My friend had the lasagna and really like it and the serving size was massive.

The “special” of the day was ravioli with lobster and it was $80 per plate and we weren’t informed prior to ordering. I love the restaurant and it’s one of my favourites but I was shocked at the price of that. The ravioli wasn’t stuffed with lobster it was in the sauce and in my opinion we should have been told the cost given it was so pricey.
