Good date night spot
Food and service excellent. Had the green beans, pig face, goat belly and beets. All were amazing. Tables were very close together to the point of feeling a bit awkward like dining with strangers. But it’s a hot place, can’t blame them. For being so busy it is very well managed from the hostess to the bar tender to the waiter. All were very good. Overall great experience. $220 for dinner for two and $120 of that was wine (special occasion). Given the quality that is an incredible value for such a renowned place in Chicago.
Food was phenomenal. Great for large groups and to try many dishes
Always be superised by various amazing dishes!
Very Nice place , very unique , food is very good as well as service .
My favorite restaurant in Chicago! It’s amazing food and amazing value.
Fantastic evening ! Staff do attentive and food amazing
We loved it, as we always have. Food was extremely well prepared and yummy. We’ll be back soon!
We arrived 40 min earlier than our reservation and we decided to have dinner on the counter. It was fantastic, our bartender was extremely friendly, and she gave us the best advices on what we should choose from the menu. We chose 4 dishes and all of them were tremendous.
The food, ambiance, and overall experience were amazing. We were a group of 8 doing some R & D (and celebrating) for the restaurants we run out West. The only mishap was that half of our table waited 45 minutes (literally) to order their first drink. After a long day of travel, a major disappointment. The food runners were amazing, the operation smooth, but our server seemed overwhelmed (or under-enthused) with the night. She was polite and informative, but not very available. Our drinks sat empty for up to 15 minutes at a time. She could have easily squeezed another $300 out of us on drinks alone. For celebration purposes we were quite disappointed.
We sat at the Chefs table which was amazing! It was such a great experience
Every time we come to Chicago from Alaska we visit your restaurant .... our experience is different every time ... the food is always fabulous.... the servers are very attentive... what a great experience always
First time in Chicago visiting from Toronto, this place was recommended by a friend. It was above and beyond from table maintenance, the food and the service. Server was great recommended great food options but did not catch her name. Will return when we are back in town!
A well oiled machine! Inventive, deliscois but above all....so well run
The timing of the delivery of each dish was impeccable. Servers knew as much as wait staff. Brilliant operation
Food is innovative and excellent. Service is also excellent. Seating can be cramped and can contribute to noise level. However, the experience is enjoyable enough to compensate for this minor inconvenience.
Totally lived up to the hype! Every bite was delicious and the service was fantastic.
I've been looking forward to trying this restaurant for months and it did not disappoint! The cuisine was delicious and creative, the staff pleasant and knowledgeable and the ambiance cozy and inviting. Everyone do yourselves a favor and try the duck tongue. You're welcome.
I can't wait to visit Chicago again and put The Girl & The Goat on the top of my "must do" list!
Awesome as always. Everytime I eat there I enjoy old favorites and brand new owns
It was a fantastic dinner! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and our waitress was fantastic! Really really enjoyed our evening.
Simply the best! All of the food was AMAZING. When another table stayed longer than anticipated, they brought us each a glass of champagne while we were waiting and a variety of bread/butter to snack on when we were sat. Everything was perfect. Food, service, ambiance. Definitely lives up to the hype!
One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in Chicago. My wife and I have been trying to get a reservation here for 2 years and finally I booked far enough ahead to snag a late Saturday dinner.
The service was impeccable, the food was out of this world, and the experience was awesome! Girl and the Goat is one of Chicago's jewels!
The food at girl and the goat was really good! My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner and we definitely made the right decision. I don't remember our waiter's name but he was very friendly and attentive. The pierogis were my favorite dish!
We went here for a pre-opera dinner. We made a reservation so we were seated promptly when we arrived. Our server was very helpful and guided us through the menu. We ordered the warm olives, scallops, shishito peppers, wood fired oysters, and crispy beef short rib. All were great but the short rib was particularly amazing. To drink, I had the Dolce Vita cocktail which I highly recommend if you like Italian-style cocktails
This place is amazing, food and the ambiance.
Place is lit Sat evenings. Food is creative and very tasty. Cliche to rave on green beans, but they are fantastic. Pig Face was amazing
Great food and drinks, and getting seated at the chef’s table for Valentines was an awesome experience! G&TG never disappoints!
It was pretty dank. Food was tasty, drinks were dank AF too
Amazing, amazing, amazing. From start to finish with incredible cocktails (drinkable, too!) to the tuna, short rib, green beans, pierogis — I could go on. Been here for three years and this was my first time trying Girl & the Goat. I will most definitely be back.
Best meal we ever ate, such bold yet balanced falvors.
We have been to the Girl and the Goat twice before and had really enjoyed our experience. We were very excited about returning, However our most recent visit proved to be disappointing.
