Chef Rob Rossi & David Minicucci, of Toronto favourite L'Unità, have collaborated to bring a genuine neighbourhood restaurant to Dufferin Grove.
Designed by acclaimed architect Guido Costantino Projects, a beguiling interior sets the stage for a convivial family-style dining experience that honours traditional Italian fare while showcasing stand-out ingredients.
Original brick and beam frame this warm, welcoming space where no detail is left unconsidered. Copper, Italian wool & red oxidized steel accents interplay with blonde wood and terrazzo, creating a rich, textured environment as enticing as Chef Rossi’s menu offerings.
First experience at Giulietta last night and it exceeded our expectations. My wife and I followed Toni, sommelier to Giulietta and were excited to try the food after reading all the great reviews. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Giulia we knew this place was special. Very warm and welcoming yet casually sophisticated. We have a very spacious bench table for four. Toni suggested the entire meal and it paired perfectly with her wine suggestion, a new Barbaresco! For non drinkers the selection of Prova Zero drinks were a great addition to the drink menu. My wife loved the Melogran drink and enjoyed a second with our meal. We started with the L'Amatriciana pizza. Light and full of flavour. Next we shared "theout of this world, Chestnut Agnolotti" and Tonnarelli Cacio & Pepe. For secondi we loved the Saltimbocca di Cappone, however the Braciola di Maiale was the BEST pork chop any of us had ever had. Bravo chef!!!! The apricot mostarda was a great touch. We ended the night with torta della Nonna. Sweet yet not too sweet and nutty. Just right! Staff service added to the experience. All very knowledgable and friendly. Well done Giulietta. I see many meals together in my future.
As usual everything was perfect. From the welcoming hostess to the service. Food was excellent and well presented. Out favourite restaurant!!
Amazing service - prompt, knowledgeable, and consistent.
Some of the best food I have ever had. Entire experience was worth every penny and I will probably visit again in a few months.
We visited Giulietta on Saturday for date night and, top to bottom, we had the lovliest time imaginable. We sat at the bar, received excellent service from the bartender and servers, and we even had a little liqueur tasting to explain a cocktail we were enjoying. The food was incredible - beautifully presented, elegant, but not stuffy in the slightest (we tend to prefer food experiences that are high end, yet un-stuffy). Can't wait to go back! To boot, we couldn't help swooning over the restaurant design. Bravo Giulietta!
This is a truly exceptional Italian dining experience in a casual yet exceedingly professional setting.
Not to be missed.
The food was excellent the service was even better
Loved this new restaurant. The food was fabulous and so was the service. Every dish was delicious. I have already made plans to go back.
We had an excellent meal. The agnolotti stuffed with corn was particularly good and different. The sommelier was superb and actually recommended a lower priced wine than the one we were considering. The service was a little inattentive as the place was absolutely jammed.
Amazing food and great service! I will be back!
This place is currently hitting on all cylinders and is place that should be visited and visited often. It has something for everyone from an exciting food menu to a delicious wine selection if you are into your Italian wines!! Keep up the amazing work guys
Finally a Toronto restaurant that understands the 2 fundamentals; great food, great service. But Giulietta takes that to a new level for Toronto dining. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to every detail. Don't worry about a splash of sauce on a white shirt - there will be a Tide stick in your hand in about 15 seconds (this really happened!). The room is very comfortable, and beautifully designed. No harsh lighting (exquisite lighting in fact), and the walls are actually acoustic absorbing panels - which look lovely, but also absorb the sound so that in a crowded restaurant you are still able to have a conversation at a table for six without straining to hear your fellow diners. Seating at the bar overlooking the open kitchen is a special treat. One feels part of the action, and the staff are happy to share cooking tips and answer any of your food related questions. Great wine list, very knowledgeable and helpful sommelier. I'd say everything on the menu is a knock-out - however, the octopus is outstanding and it's 'perfection on a plate'.
I'll be returning again and again.
The cutlery in itself is a visual delight - but I won't spoil that surprise.
Food was incredible, would definitely go again to try other plates but both my girlfriend and I were sick the following day and still haven’t fully recovered
Food not as flavourful as I would have wished. Plating unappetizing. Fennel salad hid the pretty orange and red grapefruit and added too much vinegar. Service very attentive. The room is very simple and attractive. Room noise interfered with conversation. Really wanted to love this place but disappointed.
We are now regulars. Fantastic food and wonderful staff. The decor is modern but still warm. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto.
Best experience, amazing food, service 100%.... I will be back again.
Absolutely one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in Toronto. Sat at the chefs table (counter) and it was more than just a meal, it was a show as well. Service was incredible and the chefs were simply amazing.
Loved the food, the service was great service ( Chanel). Food was served quickly & in order that
we asked for.
I had the tripe appitizer which was great but I would have liked less sauce & bigger pieces
of tripe so you can actually taste it.
Great job everyone!
Love love love. Probably the newest, best Italian restaurant in Toronto!
Restaurant came highly recommended by multiple people, food was good, wine was phenomenal. Service could definitely be improved upon, even with a reservation the wait time was incredibly long. Hopefully this is just growing pains of a newer restaurant.
Giulietta was such a treat. The cacio e pepe was like a trip to Rome, and the octopus was so tender. Wonderful service, great atmosphere.
I've been on four different occasions and the food and service have been outstanding. Inviting service caps off elevated food that is fit for any type of occasion. 10/10
Great evening! Food was excellent, imaginative, and visually impressive. Matched by the excellent service -- attentive, very friendly (we worried about 'attitude'), flexible, helpful... We'll be back! If noise is an issue, request a table to the front of the restaurant -- another mark of flexibility in the restaurant.
Great food and service! One of best restaurants in Toronto right now!
This is our second time and will definitely return. The pork chop and tiramisu - the best in the city!
I love this restaurant. We were fans of Bestellen and fans of L'Unita but this surpassed our expectations. The service and experience is always top notch with David Minicucci who knows exactly how to run a good show. The food is impressive and delicious down to the last morsel. I came in with a colleague to check it out and fell in love. I came back with my wife a month later on a Friday night and we returned together the next Friday night for round two. This is our new favourite spot when we want a relaxing and delicious meal.
My wife and I traveled to Toronto for our anniversary and had dinner here last night. One of the best meals of our life! We sat at the bar the is in front of the kitchen and the chefs were awesome and interactive. They Answered questions , made recommendations and were fun. The kitchen ran beautifully! Food was fantastic! I had the pork chop which was perfect. Don’t hesitate to go here and ask specifically to sit by the kitchen for a great experience.
I have to say that this is Toronto's best new restaurant. The food is uncomplicated, simple and fresh - sooooooo delicious!!! Looking forward to returning to have the things we didn't have a chance to try - excited!!
Giulietta is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. It is the most authentic Italian restaurant that I have come across in a long time! The service is always 110%, and super friendly! Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable and wonderful to be around. I have never had a bad experience here! They also have THE BEST Negroni I have ever had!!
Best dining experience we have had in the city in a long time. Beautifully detailed, minimal space. Great attention to detail - from the cutlery to the design of the menu to the presentation of the food.
Delicious dishes, great cocktails, wine and an awesome amaro cart. The service was outstanding. We will definitely be back soon.
This restaurant is very popular but just not for us. Limited menu and inflexible options to substitute or make any changes to preset menu. Thank you
Amazing service! Amazing food Ellen was so attentive, and the chef/cooks were lovely as well
Fabulous staff, terrific food and a great vibe. Will definitely return again and again.
The food at Giulietta is excellent and the service is great. Talented bar tending as well. The dining room is pristine and the furniture and lighting creates visual interest while not being intrusive. I was even impressed by the bathroom faucet! As a chef of another restaurant I was very impressed by the walk in fridge: it is behind glass and exposed to the dining room. This shows how clean and organized the kitchen team is. Nothing to hide! I will be back and I've already recommended to others. Kudos Giulietta team!
Service personnel are as good as they come. My benchmark is Opus. These people are every bit as good.
The service was wonderful but the food was terrible. The appetizers and cheese plate were not bad but we had four entrees and all were bad. The capon was dry and thrown on a plate. Presentation was worst I have ever seen.
It’s hard to imagine how ravioli can taste bad, but the chef succeeded. Clumps of sauce which I couldn’t identify as tomato etc and oil gathering around edges made for a terrible entree.
Was shocked given recent reviews but won’t return given the shockingly bad meal we had.
A great dining experience...everything from the food to the staff (who were super friendly!) to the vibe of the place. A great time!
Great restaurant with amazing food
Food was delicious. Portions are large. Very attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant itself was lovely and lively!
This has become our favorite spot to dine...from food, service, staff and wine list, ambiance and bustling vibe it never disappoints.
Our family had a wonderful time and will definitely return.
