Chef Rob Rossi & David Minicucci, of Toronto favourite L'Unità, have collaborated to bring a genuine neighbourhood restaurant to Dufferin Grove.
Designed by acclaimed architect Guido Costantino Projects, a beguiling interior sets the stage for a convivial family-style dining experience that honours traditional Italian fare while showcasing stand-out ingredients.
Original brick and beam frame this warm, welcoming space where no detail is left unconsidered. Copper, Italian wool & red oxidized steel accents interplay with blonde wood and terrazzo, creating a rich, textured environment as enticing as Chef Rossi’s menu offerings.
A MUST try if you like Italian food. Mocktail “Luvo” was unique and refreshing, perfect for summer. Pastas and pizza were cooked to perfection. Service was quick, attentive and couldn’t have asked for better. Would recommend this to everyone! Definitely will come back to try the Pulpo, it was very popular among other diners. We were smiling the whole time with how pleasant our experience was.
An excellent foodie experience. Every dish was perfectly prepared and the flavors lingered after every mouthful. The servings could have been slightly larger for the pasta dishes in particular, given the intent that the dining was supposedly family style. Octopus appetizer was the highlight. Higher on the price point for a regular go to restaurant but definitely worthwhile for special occasions.
Fantastic service and atmosphere. Outstanding food. Little bit pricey but worth it.
Enjoyed our meal and he ambience very much. Great restaurant
Food was great. I was craving pasta and they did not disappoint, it was cooked perfectly and delicious. The food was matched with great service again. Giulietta has really put together a team that delivers a great experience.
Don’t forget to order the sides! I had the roasted peppers on this visit: so good!
Delicious food, ambiance and attentive service is bar none! Thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the chef's bar...will definitely be back.
This is a great restaurant. The food never disappoints. Four of us shared and the best choice for appetizer was the grilled octopus, the best mains were the spinach ravioli and pork chop. The tiramisu and salted caramel torte were also very good - a nice end to a great meal. The wine list tends to run on the expensive side but there are reasonable options. The low ceilings, large tables with the booth seats make dinner so much more comfortable, an all round excellent experience.
We absolutely loved our dinner and overall experience at Giulietta.
The food was great, the service was par excellence.
The only thing I wish was, that there had been complimentary bread at the table to scoop up the delicious pasta sauce. That was definitely missing.
Other than that, I cannot fault anything.
The servers were so warm and friendly and I loved it.
Pizza was great, but beyond that I found the food to be nothing special. At that price, every dish, or almost every dish needs to wow me which was not the case. I also found the service to be lacking. The server seemed impatient, inflexible, and slightly snobby.
Also, we didn’t appreciate the rule that we had to order all of our food at once. What ever happened to enjoying an appetizer and drink while we choose our mains ?
The music we found to be cheesy and out of place. The entire playlist needs to be redone.
I would not recommend to a friend and will not be returning. After our meal, we both wished we had picked another restaurant.
Food was fantastic! We really loved the ambiance and for the most part the service was excellent; a bit slow to start.
As usual Toni helped us choose great wines. Excellent service from Gillian. Another winning night. Thanks.
We all enjoyed ourselves. Food was ok. It was loud for dinner.
Eat at the counter
Excellent atmosphere at Giulietta. We sat at the chefs bar and were able to experience passionate young and promising chefs working their craft. All of the food was fantastic, specifically the grilled octopus. I would like to especially commend Chef Matthew as he ensured our experience was the best it could possibly be. I look forward to returning soon.
Octopus, pappardelle, pasta cacio pepe, pork chops and brussel sprouts...all outstanding!!!!
Went here for my birthday and it was very nice and would strongly recommend anyone to come here great place
the main courses are disappointing - food are quite oily.
Great atmosphere and food
Food was good but not great
Couple of dishes stood out the pasta and bistecca
My 4th visit and some really important things stand out. Service is impeccable and consistent, the food is delicious and priced well. My main server tonight John, he really paid attention to every detail without being overly attentive. It’s obvious he enjoys his job and that is something that comes across from all the staff I interacted with throughout the night. The food: I made the decision to try as many new items as I could but I could not resist having the grilled Octopus starter again. It was beautiful on the plate and perfectly cooked. The pasta was aldente, with balanced flavours, so delicious ( cacio E pepe) and really was the best way to move into the Bistecca Fiorentina which was Cooked as ordered and so good! The sides: roasted peppers, if you have not tried this Italian staple you are in for a treat & Brussel sprouts sauced with a bit of heat, oil & anchovy, so nice.
Dessert was a difficult choice but the Fife tiramisu was chosen. The perfect end to this meal.
Had a 30 minute wait for our table despite having a reservation, but we were able to order a drink and some apps while we waited. The food was some of the best we have had in Toronto - the pistachio white pizza was amazing! Great atmosphere, and a lovely restaurant overall.
Love it, this was our second time. Food is always good, love the ambience. I brought my grandparents from out of town, the one thing I would mention is our server was a little bit of a mumbler, which I could tell was difficult for them as they have hearing aids.
The swiss chard salad was amazing! Who knew salad could be so flavorful?
I thought the food was ok but I don’t understand why this is rated as something special for Italian food ... it’s not very authentic , portions small prices high ... didn’t think it was good value on any level ...
Great new Italian food and concepts, on my top 10 list of restaurants in Toronto to go to. Make sure you order a pizza, the agro dolce mouth watering flavours will leave you craving for more! You can share your plates with friends if you want to try it all - highly recommend doing that if you can share.
We dined for Valentines, an extremely busy night of the year - the staff was friendly but you could tell they were hurried - the ambiance is really cool - with a bar in the middle of the resto. Short menu, with amazing options to choose from. You can tell their recipes are very well designed for maximum flavour experience. Our apps and salads were great. Fave dish was the pappardelle with braised oxtail. Gnocchi were homemade and well done. They tried their best to accommodate my dietary intolerance considering it was a very busy night and they did a decent job.
Great food and very high level of service made for an excellent evening
Amazing!!!! Such good food and customer service was best I’ve seen so far, highly recommend this place :)
I LOVED this place. Great design. Fantastic service.
Disappointed that their menu changes so much.
I was there in January and the agnolotti was delicious but they did not have the burrata anymore. This time the agnolotti was replaced by gnocchi which was very subpar.
Octopus was pretty but tasteless
Pasta was cold
Lemon bar was same as a bakery
The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious - highly recommend!
Amazing. We sat at the chef’s bar (not sure if that’s what they call it) and thoroughly enjoyed watching all the attention and care that goes into the preparation of every dish. The food was all exquisite and the service was honestly some of the best I’ve ever experienced.
Guiletta was a pleasant expierience!
We enjoyed the different selections on the menu.
The pulpo tasted so good. The ragou was delightful. The swordfish was rather small but perfect in taste. Tasteful cauliflower side. We really recommend the tarta della nonna as a desert!
Great service, solid food. Octopus and sausage wrapped olives were standouts.
Overall very happy with the menu options, food was delicious! The waitstaff went above and beyond. Items that need serious addressing - curtain around the doorway to keep the front seating area warmer, a larger area for walk ins to wait for a table. Not enough space by the bar as servers have to access the front dining area. The lineup of walk in patrons at the door makes for a fish bowl experience in the front dining room, better eat up and get out. Looks as though only VIPs and guests that complain enough get to dine in the back room. Drake like rap could be changed to something more unique that you might hear in a top ranked NYC eatery. Environment contributes to the dining experience and this is the only thing this restaurant has cared to disregard.
Meal and service were spectacular.
We had a very pleasant evening. The food was nice and the service was excellent .
Wonderful meal. Love the service and attention to detail of our server, especially in terms of recommendations and planning when the food was served. Would definitely recommend!
The Food is Fabulous - I have been twice - and both times, everything was fabulous. The music is a bit too loud .... but other than that Wonderful. Service is outstanding. thank you!!
