Glenn Burney Lodge
At Glenn Burney our menu is always full of surprises because Chef Ron Cherry takes his cue from whatever is in season at the local Farmers Markets. We also smoke our own meats on-site, over aromatic cherry and apple wood, and our bread is fresh-baked daily with dough from one of Ontario’s finest artisanal bakeries, Petite Thuet.
Chef needs to improve (cook hamburgers better, add salt and pepper before cooking). But passable for a lakeside bar. Ambiance is get. Servers were good and attentive.
It’s was nice to dine outdoors. The server was efficient. The cocktails lacking, the food okay considering the Covid-19 situation. We will return when we are up that way again. It is great to have a little spot on at the marina like that.
We love the place, the food and the atmosphere. Definitely a great place to hangout, have a bite and enjoy your evening!
We had a wonderfully relaxed experience on the outdoor patio. The service was fantastic. Very professional and yet down to earth and friendly. The food was top drawer... reminded us of the quality we used to find at Bistro on the Bay in Parry Sound. We'll be back!
Hidden gem in Parry Sound!
Great ambiance...tasty food especially the Trestle beer battered fish!
Best deck and sunset !
And the floating dock with huge screen is awesome for sporting events too!
Staff are always friendly!
Best place on The Bay.
We were going to be at a nearby family cottage anyways, so we decided to make a night of it and have our anniversary dinner at Glen Burney.
Food was tasty; Sangria was dangerously delicious. If we had to nitpick: if you're going to use anything resembling a chipotle sauce, it would be recommended to mention that spice may be involved.
Service: this was great despite the fact that our server (Sarah) was one of two responsible for nearly 20 tables plus bar patrons.
Definitely would recommend.
Food took over an hour even for appetizer. Fish was burned. Cesar salad dressing wasn’t good. Server was very nice - not her fault it was the kitchens
Great spot. Food was great. Jumbo tv was nice touch.
We we're camping in the area and went for lunch. It was exactly what we were looking for, a relaxing spot on the water. The service and food was excellent, I really enjoyed the Caesar as well. We recommended this place to family members who will be boating in the area next week.
In a spectacular setting, Glenn Burney Lodge offers fresh food and an interesting menu. We had the chicken supreme, brimming with fresh cranberry sauce and on top of roasted fingerling potatoes and veg. Dessert was a homemade cookie and caramelized bananas with creamy ice cream and seasonal berries. Our server was friendly, chatty and lovely. Would definitely recommend, and visit again.
Of note: They also smoke their own fish and chicken on the premises; and there's a huge TV screen floating on the water for sports fans.
Great food a bit pricy but on the water expected
Service was great
Great view of water
Would come back Thanks
First visit was great. We really enjoyed our evening, make a reservation. Service was super, down to earth and friendly. Only comment is about dogs being allowed, I understand why as we are dog owners too, but not everyone is and think need to reserve a section or something to manage them. Would go back and have recommended already.
A perfect meal, excellent service. Lots of room. Truly the best in Parry Sound
Absolutely fabulous service ( as always ) , great atompsere and delicious food. Our favourite spot for a date !
Wonderful food and exceptional service. We will be back.
Awesome service. Stellar views. High priced, mediocre food unfortunately.
Open table does not have any contact information to report problems. Reservation was taken by OpenTable but restaurant is not open Wednesday’s in September. Can’t rate the experience because it was closed.
Started with a delicious platter- perfect for sharing. Great service, music, and ambiance. The burger was outstanding, as was the daily fish special. We will be back!
Lucky to find this place..we went back the next day . Easy relaxed but great service. Loved this place
Amazing location and friendly staff made for a perfect dinner!
Service was slow but there was only one waitress so it wasn’t her fault. Need to ensure enough staff to maintain service levels
Been coming to this place for years now. They have the same fine dining menu that they had at the lodge up top before it burned down. Most of it is covered and there are heaters so it's comfortable in light rain or chilly weather. It does get very busy at dinner. Highly recommend.
We spent a lovely evening at the Lodge last night, and were impressed by the food, location, and by the stellar service we received! Our server was very attentive and everything was taken care of quickly, from ordering the drinks through the food service and then bringing the bill. I have to say, their Beet and Apple salad was one of the best salads I've ever had, and their wine and cheese selections are stellar and clearly chosen with care. This is a beautiful waterfront restaurant with a great ambience and lovely staff. We will absolutely be back to Glenn Burney Lodge for another dinner very soon!
Great food, friendly staff, and a wonderful view. Highly recommended!
Food was phenomenal! Mains came out hot, appetizers tasty. Service was not the best, had to ask for server to come to out table and was there way longer then should have been. Many tables who came in well after us were taken care of before us. Felt like we were being ignored. Definitely recommend for the food, the kitchen staff are amazing! Beautiful scenery
