I made a reservation for my birthday and indicated such on the reservation. No acknowledgement was made. I ordered the steak and surf. The steak was tough and chewy even though I asked for it to be cooked rare. My partner was not impressed with their meal either. The waitress did not come by to ask how our meal was. Decent atmosphere. High end pub? A little like a Moxie's wanna be. Best to stick with drinks and appetizers, otherwise for the amount you spend, go somewhere with better food.

Poor service was not a rating made lightly. While reception and seating hostess was lovely , the wait staff was not at all. I waited for 10 minutes after being seated to get a glass of water, waited a short time later to get drink and food order, waited over 45 minutes to get food ( my butter chicken had obviously spent most of that time under a warming light) and then waited so long for my check that I had to flag down another server. Never did see our original server after.

Glo has very nice ambience. We sat on the patio and since it was breezy they brought blankets and turned on the heaters. We were toasty ybin no time. Menu is very interesting and prices appear to be the same for the evening as at lunch. Very pleasant exoerience

The food was good - freshly prepared and delicious. While there are vegetarian entrees there is only one vegan entree - no choice and why not? A good chef shouldn't have to lean on cheese in everything. Glo should add a few more vegan choices - vegetarians will be happy because they can eat vegan food and vegans will be happy with more choice.

We are regulars at the restaurant and like it very much. I try to vary menu choices and this time ordered Jerk Chicken. Flavors were good but the chicken and rice were very dry.

As always, my Buddha Bowl was outstanding. Our server on Saturday seemed a bit distracted - in the 2 1/2 hours we were there she came around twice for drink orders. Our water glasses were empty too. That's not our typical experience, but is the reason why I gave just three stars for service.
I am a huge fan of the buddha bowl- it's so filling and fresh. It is one of my go to favourites on our menu. I am very sorry to hear about the lack of attentiveness as this is not how we anticipate the needs of our guests or achieve going above and beyond for our guests. The servers were nice. The atmosphere was great. We sat out on the patio and it was a beautiful evening as well. We were celebrating our anniversary. The complaint we had was our food was all cold when we received it. We paid 40 for a surf and turf plate of steak and shrimp w roasted vegetables and potatoes. Everything on the plate was cold. The steak was warm, the shrimp cold, the vegetables cold, carrots raw, and mashed potatoes cold. If it was hot it would of been a different story. We had high hopes when we had the truffle fries for starter but was disappointed with the main. The fries were the best thing. We will probably not return, if we do it would just be for happy hour items.

overall everything was great...it was our anniversary so our server gave us a discount when she heard about our occasion...basically it worked out to a free dessert which was great.great food great location. we will be back.

As always Glo is consistently an excellent restaurant. I have been going there since it first opened and the food, service and ambience is always up to par, making each time feel like it is a special occasion. From cozy winter dinners to summer celebrations with friends, and fresh foods and beverages on the enclosed patio, Glo has got it.
The view is also spectacular and almost 360. One of my favourite places for a lunch or evening out.

For us Glo was a dim experience... (August 4th 2019)
• Sluggish service, order mix up/re-fire, food on the bland side. Wife and I had a salad, soup starters and entrees of chicken and prawns.
• Nice location with outdoor seating overlooking gorge waterway but choose your table carefully as adjacent there is an automobile crush junkyard that's not so pretty.
• Glo reported us to Open Table as a No Show for our reservation. We were on time (parking receipt supports that) and responded to OT with specifics of our visit including total cost of dinner. Methinks the restaurant may have made a clumsy attempt to circumvent our leaving a less than stellar review.

As per our website on Open Table the parking reimbursement states clearly: "Parking Details There is limited one hour and two hour parking as well as two separate lots that are $2.50 per hour. From a table that put me out in the aisle to a pricey halibut dish over cooked to a overly loud atmosphere I have no option as a customer than to say I won’t be back. The server was the one bright spot in the evening ☹️

Ambiance is nice, large bar in the middle of the room with tables surrounding the area. Outside seating with wonderful views. Dinner was barely edible. The rice was dried out and the fish over cooked. Would not waste my calories or money at this restaurant.

This restaurant came recommended by our hotel for a special birthday dinner. The food was nothing to write home about at all, very underwhelming and average at best. The service, however, was impeccable, and the outdoor seating area provided a lovely view and comfortable dinner experience.

Made reservations for our five year working anniversary. They food was amazing, patio was more than perfect but the service was alright, she didn’t know it was our five year wedding anniversary nor did they do anything special for it. I live close to Glo. I really love this restaurant. While beautiful inside, the patio is lovely with great views. There's a lot of variety in the food and it is reasonably priced for an upscale restaurant. I've been there for lunch and dinner and there is a great Happy Hour, as well.
Unfortunately there were two large parties so the noise level was so high that we could hardly hear our waitress! Nevertheless we did enjoy the experience.

As always, the food was great. Unfortunatly, we were seated near a doorway which was propped open, despite the quite cool temperature and the gale force winds. Our table cloth was blown up and over a few times and our hair blown into our faces was common. We asked for the door to be closed and were told they couldn't find the key to unlock it. The table beside us moved. Put a bit of a damper on things.

Have been before. Prefer eating outside- more ambiance. Server cheery. Not so sure they need to wear such short skirts- s this expected?
We were seated by an open door and were a bit chilly. Other than that it was great.
Great location and ambiance, friendly servers and great portion sizes. Drinks are meh. Usually go for work get together dinners because it's so close to where we work.
Glo is a lovely place to eat. The food is delicious and the menu varied with items appropriate for vegans. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. We enjoyed sitting outside looking out over the water while having the opportunity to stay warm under the heat lamps and available blankets.
Food was great as always! Even some new items on the menu that looked delicious and will try next time. My only disappointment is how expensive the wine is. I haven’t purchased a glass of wine with my entrees for a very long time. A 9 oz. glass of wine costs almost as much as a bottle from the liquor store so I have one when I get home.
Been back a few times. Always a pleasant place to go with friends. Very nice decor, friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good and good value.
