Bartender killed the Bourbon sour, unfortunately all I could taste was the bitters. So much butter, they could have made it with Gin, I wouldn’t have known. Same for the beef deep, I’ll I could taste was horseradish, bite after bite of horseradish. My wife enjoyed her halibut. Whipped Brie was nice.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and a very upbeat and attentive server! Lydia did a fantastic job and is probably one of the best waitresses I’ve encountered. The only negative to the experience was the calamari. I’m a huge calamari lover and order it wherever I go; however, I found theirs to be very bland. After two bites, I was a bit disappointed and knew I wasn’t going to eat any more and sent it back, which is something I never do. They were kind enough to comp the calamari, and the rest of the food on the table more than made up for it by being incredibly delicious. A great experience all around!

We had guests coming through Victoria on a cruise & wanted to take them to a nice restaurant where we could share a meal & conversation. Glo exceeded our expectations. The meals were delicious, the service was great & we were able to converse without raising our voices, an unusual experience for us these days. We moved back to Victoria & had heard about Glo. We’ll definitely be back for more meals. Our guests sent a message today telling us how much they enjoyed their meals. Thanks! We’ll be happy to support a local dining location that offers the menu & service that makes our day so special!

This was my second time coming to Glo restaurant, as the first experience was excellent. Unfortunately, this time around service was very slow. We decided to sit on the patio. Our appetizer came before our first initial drinks, our server barely came to our table And she pretty much disappeared at the end of our dining experience, we never got asked if we’d like more drinks, and we had to go to the bar to get our bills. *also NOT that it was the restaurants fault at all but we had a rat pass by our table, that was a little frightening lol.

It was a problematic seating as the noise was over the top. Our elderly birthday guest could not be heard at all so we resorted to texting each other at the table, and practised our miming skills. Granted it was very busy, but the service was extremely slow. The food was fine but not remarkable and not as good as it has been on other occasions. So it was a mixed experience but the setting is lovely and we enjoyed the plantings around and in the restaurant.

Quite loud, unfortunately as we were trying to catch up with family. But the food and service was excellent. A bit pricey ( sure has gone up, especially wine) but again, everything tasted good and was well served. I think we’ll keep it for special occasions only; we used to come often just for a nice dinner, but it’s a bit too expensive now.

Lovely patio, great service and food. We we were staying in the area and went back for a second night, eating on the patio for two wonderful evenings. Lilly was delightful and took great care. The flatbread with chorizo is excellent as was the beet salad, ribs and steak. We did notice it was very loud inside the restaurant.

I picked this restaurant to bring my nephew from London England as I previously enjoyed it and there are gluten free options. It did not disappoint. The lunch was great and we had some apples and 3 of the gf flatbreads. Also the spritzers that were featured that day. Great service and ambience- perfect location. My nephew who has eaten everywhere in the world thought it extremely good!

Glo was beautiful for my Birthday Brunch. We were lucky enough to get a table outside, although inside was equally appealing. Seated amidst what felt like a lush garden, overlooking the water, with outdoor heaters, just enough to take off the slight chill in the autumn air. Would highly recommend!

They would not allow us to stay for a drink while waiting for an outside table to become available - even though we had a reservation, effectively losing out on the revenue that 4 drinks would bring them. There was plenty of room inside because it was only 4:15 and we had a reservation. Extremely odd! “We don’t do that” Also when making the reservation online the only option was 4:30 or 7 pm. We were driving from up island and wanted 5 or 5:30 - but had to take 4:30 which is fine, but there were multiple empty tables for the duration that we were there so it makes no sense. Top it off with the fact that there were fruit flies in the vinegar bottle that we noticed after using it - ugh. Our waitress was great though - and discounted the cost accordingly. Other than the strange rules and fruit flies the food was really good! The place was recommended to me- and I feel bad that my friends had this experience because of my recommendation.

I frequent Glo often and have done so since it opened. Overall, it is a fine restaurant with delicious food and manageable portions at a reasonable and fair price. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that the bar mixing drinks makes an enormous amount of noise that adds considerable volume to an already energetic restaurant.

We have been your loyal customers for many years, incl. a Christmas lunch one year. We also visit your other venue, B&B, frequently. Unfortunately, although we ordered exactly the same dishes this time as in the past, the food turned out to be very disappointing, well below the expectations based on our past experience(s). The tune tataki dish was absolutely tasteless, the fish was dry and not 100% fresh. The calamari were utterly bad. Anaemic, not at all crispy, uncooked, chevy, bad. And the ginger beef, although tasty, should have been called bell pepper ginger dish. There was so little beef in the bowl... As I said, we loved your restaurant, it's pleasant and the service is great but this last experience was ever so sadly very disappointing. Please try to re-instate the previous level of cooking otherwise we won't go back...

Have been to brunch many times. My guests’ meals were very good, the Sante Fe Eggs Benedict are always good. Perhaps they could add a few more brunch items including classic French Toast not banana bread with chocolate chips.

The pasta carbonara was quite bland, definitely not as full of flavour as expected … the short ribs were quite nice but not exceptional. The service was a bit sporadic as it seemed like our server had too many tables to look after… perhaps short staffed as seems to be the usual problem these days?!!!

When we were seated we were informed that we had two hours as they had another reservation at 9:15 that would need our table. We spent the last half hour trying to get and pay our bill and were basically ignored. Needless to say there were many empty tables when we left. Overall the food was good, service was mediocre and ambiance was meh, partly because of where we were seated. wont be going back anytime soon.

Great atmosphere and food is consistently good. Prices seem reasonable compared with other places in town.

If you're looking for a silent romantic evening maybe it's not your best place but if you want to have excellent food with your friends this place is awesome.
