We have visited Gigi’s a few times in the past and had a wonderful experience however this time we were a little disappointed. The food wasn’t as tasty as normal and just didn’t meet our usual expectations. The bruschetta had been made up and all left in the fridge so was far too cold whereas usually the bread is at least room temperature. The Milanese was just ok… the chicken was lovely but pasta sauce average. My husbands pizza was very flat and the dough wasn’t as fluffy as normal. The waitress was lovely and service all ok overall but not sure we will be back in a rush.

I had Tagliatelle alla campagnola which was a bit bland, I thought. Some salt would have improved it. Others had Tagliatelle al ragu and thought the meat was tasteless. The service was good and the setting is pleasant. Afterwards I had Tiramisu which was very cold, presumably straight out of the freezer.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant was quiet when we went at the start of service, the waitress readily brought high chairs when she realised we had small children. the food was good except for the focaccia which had been over microwaved and was hard and rubbery. Otherwise, we all enjoyed our meals.
