    Perfect experience , delicious expertly-made high quality food and drinks, we were kindly hosted by very generous and professional restaurant team, many thanks for a great night. Highly recommended —- everything was delicious, deep fried cabbage was something I had never tried before, it was very very good, the meat and seafood were excellent also; drinks to try: any of their signature highballs,, enjoy,, best wishes

    In every way, this restaurant was amazing. The ambiance goes unmatched. The service was friendly and prompt. Every bite of food or sip of a drink was DELICIOUS. Super highly recommended!

    Gonzo Izakaya is truly a hidden gem - consistently offering delicious food, kind service and good vibes all around. Our group felt so taken care of and left fully satisfied. Side bonus, we weren't rushed out after we were finished eating (which feels somewhat rare for Toronto restaurants these days). I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but Gonzo Izakaya is well worth it!

    This is my favourite Izakaya in the GTA. The quality of food is incredible, with immensely reasonable prices as well. The staff are ALL amazing, going so far as remembering individual patrons by name when they enter/arrive.

    It is a very intimate environment with limited seating. Amazing staff who are extremely helpful and can make great recommendations from the menu. My wife and I both especially love the spicy karaage and would recommend that when you go.

    Had a lot of fun on our date to Gonzo. The restaurant has a really fun atmosphere, and doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. The 90's Geocities-themed-website/menu was an excellent touch. The cocktails were fun! The yakitori dishes and rice bowls were exceptionally good.

    Had a birthday celebration here for my partners 26th. They hosted our party of 7 very well. Service was excellent. Drinks were all well crafted and refreshing. All the food was done very well. Everything you would want from a Yakitori as well as all the Japanese Izakaya classics, presented beautifully and deliciously. The hand wrote a birthday card for her can took plenty of photos for us. We were so happy to have chosen Gonzo, and would recommend anyone to go for their celebrations.

    My friend and I really enjoyed the food there, the beef skewers and the don are our favorite! We loved the jap posters, the old tv, and all other decorations there. Such a gem hidden in the area.

    Food was absolutely amazing! Loved every dish we ordered. The atmosphere reminded me of my stay in Japan, which was the reason why I chose this place. I loved the cute art work around the restaurant. The drink were really good. Our waitress was very kind and easy going. I would only have 1 suggestion to make it a better experience. Lighting. It was quiet dimmed and dark which made a little difficult see what food was in front of me. Have recommended to all my friends!

    Went here for a date night. Cozy spot with Japanese/Korean decor and a cool, relaxed ambiance. The cocktails were delicious and the food was amazing. Everything we tried was very, very good. Highly recommended.

    Love the interior, great theme! Food was also very good only thing was the salad was very plain and not what I expected. Overall had a good experience and staff was very nice too.

    It was quite noisy when we arrived for our reservation at 7:00, but they were ready for us and seated us quickly. Service was attentive and friendly. We had a variety of dishes to share: aburi tuna (amazing!), salmon sashimi, a few different skewers, an udon dish and a chicken rice bowl - all were great. Plus, they had shoju, a Korean distilled rice drink I love. It got quieter over the 1 3/4 hours we were there, and they were again very friendly in thanking us as we left. Would definitely return for this creative culinary experience!

    The drinks are so creative and signature, foods are amazing. Cozy and nice place to have drink with some friends. Also, the owners are so friendly, they are huge fan of One Piece. Highly recommend!!!😆😆😆😆
