   We celebrated our 20 year anniversary along with our two teenage boys. Our waiter, Dan, was attentive and friendly. The steaks, as always, were perfectly cooked. Gorat’s will always be on our list to celebrate future occasions.

   This was the first time we have visited Gorats since it changed ownership. We found it to be very good. The steak was an excellent piece of beef. The decor is fine, although the new wood floor does make the dining room louder. Nice to see entertainment in the lounge.

   The whiskey glazed ribeye was extremely flavorful, and the filet mignon cut like butter! The deviled eggs were outstanding, and the the bourbon cheesecake was decadent! Our server was very attentive, and had good recommendations for wine pairings. A great meal to highlight Omaha's legacy of great meats!

    Restaurant was very busy because of the Berkshire meeting. They had a limited menu which was more expensive than the regular menu. Food was horrible, one of our T-bone was raw near the bone, another had no seasoning. Hash browns was burnt on the outside and soggy on the inside drenched with oil. Service was almost non-existent because they were under-staffed.

    Incredible experience at the Warren Buffett famed steakhouse on the Berkshire Weekend. Servers attitude was outstanding despite the overloading number of people visiting. Service was perfect, appropriately checking in with me multiple times (but not TOO many times). Steak was decent, I got the T-bone with hash browns and a cherry coke. Had a good experience.

    Bathrooms were filthy. Steak had to be sent back, couldn’t chew it. Replaced by terrible fried shrimp. This place is living through past greatness. Huge rip off. They are trying to live through Warren Buffett, who probably hasn’t been there in years AVOID

They were thoroughly cleaned and sanitized every morning with touch-ups throughout the day.     Terribly unprofessional and overcharge me for no reasons and declined to refund the overchargers. Totally not recommend of this poor and unacceptable services, more like a scam to me.

    Father-son visit to Berkshire annual meeting. Saturday night, seated promptly, prompt first visit fro wait staff. We left behind AirPods and they had been found and set aside for us to retrieve the next day (helped by the “find your AirPods” function. Excellent evening. Would repeat..

    I came here because I heard Warren Buffet loves their steak. I’m going to come back in the future because I agree with Mr. Buffet. I love steak. I’ve had good steaks and great steaks but none compare to the T bone with hash browns I had at Gorat’s. The food is absolutely amazing. The owner/manager is very attentive to everything going on and constantly makes sure that everything is going as it should. This place is a 10/10.

    I grew up loving Gorats steaks! I no longer live in Omaha but was there recently with my adult children and we decided to go there one night. If possible, it’s even better than I remember. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were too. The restaurant was very busy but the service was still impeccable.

    Visited the Thursday evening before the Berkshire Hathaway weekend. Very friendly service. The onion rings are incredible ~ in taste as well as abundance! We shared the Whisky Rib Eye. One half was perfect & delicious. Unfortunately the other half was almost all fat & gristle. The price for Prisoner wine was very reasonable.

    Didn’t love it. I get it, Warren Buffet’s fave and all that, HOWEVER, we ordered the cowboy ribeyes.. not that great. If you can appreciate a truly good steak then a “whiskey glaze” isn’t going to cut it for you. I don’t dig a sweet flavor on what should have been a spectacular steak for what we paid. Cocktails, service, asparagus and wedge salad were great. Definitely a no-frills operation, not on repeat list.

    We brought our mother out to dinner for her 89th birthday. I’m not sure why the online reservation asked if we were celebrating anything special; because I did notify them of the birthday, and nothing was ever mentioned? The only real downside to our experience, was the noise level. There was a live band playing, and their volume was very acceptable; but the dining room was extremely loud-to the point of almost not being able to have a conversation. The service (Caesar) was fantastic, and the food was absolutely perfect! All four meals were amazing.

    Prime rib had nice flavor but unfortunately their take on medium well and mine disagreed. I'm immuno-suppressed so don't eat meat that is "red". I did not appreciate that my returned meal was brought back to me and I was "educated" about doneness.

    The food was fantastic, The steak was perfect and the baked potato was off the chain, even the outside skin was delicious. The deviled eggs were beautifully displayed liked to good to eat and they were delicious. The shrimp was large and perfect.

    Great food and great service. Toasted ravioli reminded me of those found on The Hill in St. Louis. Steak was perfectly seasoned and grilled. Bread pudding was wonderful. Best meal ever in Omaha!

    It was a great place to have a nice Saturday evening meal. We actually were seated in a one table for 2 room separate from the main room and it was perfect for me and my spouse. I would definitely recommend Gorat's to family and friends.

    Food was great overall and the service was generally courteous. WAM staff was a bit slow in clearing our plates and glasses (empty cocktail glass were NEVER removed). Was somewhat disappointed that Gorat’s did nothing to acknowledge my dad’s birthday. Brother Sebastian’s (and frankly most other restaurants I know) offer a small dessert with a candle to the celebrant.

    Finding a steakhouse in Omaha is easy but finding an outstanding steakhouse takes a bit of research. Gorat’s is outstanding! Attentive and friendly staff with excellent service, even when busy. The noise level, even when full is pleasant. Cocktails beautifully made and a very nice and complete wine list at reasonable prices. And the meat … fantastic; with an array of sides that could please anyone. A must try appetizer: the shrimp sautéed in butter with havarti. Wonderful restaurant!

    Great steak dinner, great experience, local place, far better than a chain steakhouse yet reasonable prices. Service was the star (Rita). My guest had the chicken with veggies and she said it was great. I ordered the exact dinner Mr. Buffett gets and it was good, especially the hash browns. Learned about Dorothy Lynch dressing for my house salad (good). Veggies very commendable. I do not prefer a T-Bone but that's what Mr. Buffett gets and it was very good for what it was. Every time I order something but the Filet, I wish I ordered the Filet. But I wanted the Buffett dinner that evening and the T-Bone they served was excellent for a T-Bone. Service was the star though. Waitress was Rita and she was excellent. We enjoyed our visit the most because of her.
