   Disappointed in the Beef Wellington. Probably the one dish this restaurant should not get wrong considering how many times we’ve seen Gordon send back poorly done Wellingtons. Well, unfortunately ours was under done with the pastry being raw under the crust. Dish was sent back and the second attempt was not much better unfortunately. With a special occasion and a plane to catch afterwards, we accepted the second dish but didn’t really eat much of it. Would love to give GR Steak Vancouver another chance but not with this quality.

   Visiting a Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant has been a dream for my mum and I for years. When we were in Vegas a few years ago, we didn’t get a chance to try it there but as soon as we heard it was coming to Vancouver, it was a must try for both of us. This weekend, we were celebrating my mum’s birthday which also happens to be in the same week as Mother’s Day. So Ofcourse, Gordon Ramsay steak was the place we needed to be at. We made a reservation online which was such as easy process to do, but we did notice how fast the reservations were booking up. We ordered: - Miso Glazed Sablefish - Pan Seared Salmon - Sticky Toffee Pudding - British Stout Onion Soup - Heated Exchange Mocktail Food: the food was just as we expected it to be. DELICIOUS. I think we both inhaled our food because it was so good lol! Service: the service was wonderful right from the moment we got there to the time we left. I don’t think I have anything negative to say. Shout out to our server, Brenda, who was amazing throughout the evening. Ambiance: the restaurant itself had a really interesting concept. As you enter, it leads to a very open space of tables and the bar which is considered the lounge area. However, as you walk through a gorgeous walk way, it leads you to a fine dining room and a door to the patio area. Absolutely loved the concept of how it was built. Loved how high end yet casual it felt while we were there. Overall, it was an amazing experience. My mum was very happy when we left and she’s already thinking of our next visit! I’m so happy we had this experience to celebrate her.

   The food was delicious with a beautiful presentation. The atmosphere could have been improved greatly. We were sat by the bar, next to a TV with a hockey game. Being close to the bar and TV, it was very noisey. It felt like an airport lounge, except I wasn't flying anywhere. Staff passing by to serve other tables and young children seated next to us. When we booked there was no option to choose a bar or lounge. The host wasn't able to move us to the dining area where the ambiance is much nicer. Staff were lovely. For the price, they could have done better. In hindsight, we should have stopped at 1 drink and left.

   We had the most wonderful experience celebrating our 10-year dating anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely incredible—every dish was crafted with care and packed with flavor. What truly made our evening special was the exceptional service we received, especially from Lucas. He went above and beyond to make sure our night was perfect, offering thoughtful recommendations and making us feel genuinely valued. His kindness and attention to detail made all the difference, and we are so grateful for his outstanding service. Highly recommended to anyone looking for fantastic food and top-notch hospitality.

   My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time! The staff were so attentive and kind, and they were definitely the best part of the restaurant. We had the famous beef wellington, and were well informed of what to expect, as well as how best to drizzle the sauce and eat it. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Price-wise, everything is quite overpriced but as it was a treat, we expected it. This definitely isn't a place to have regular meals at though. It is highly recommended that you make reservations, otherwise you'll likely be waiting a very long time for your table.

   service is very slow, the service is absolutely not worth this price, appetizers is fast but the steaks and the sides takes more than an hour to come out after we order. We were there 2 hours the servers wasn’t too attentive to our table at first hour* that’s the most important timing to check out and let the customers feel comfortable.

   Trace our sever was fantastic, explained the various meals and offered suggestions. Lisa was attentive and asked if we needed anything. Outside kitchen chef asked how everything was that we ordered. Beef Wellington was prepared to our maximum enjoyment. We will be back and recommending this to everyone.

    I think it's the best steakhouse in the city. River Rock did a great job by including this wonderful restaurant.
