   Amazing customer service from start to finish! Food was delish as were the cocktails. Great happy hour pricing every day. Highly recommend.

   Great service. Bar a little slow. Kind of noisy. Did not get seated inside per Open Table reservation. Wedge salad was outstanding. Fried chicken was overcooked and dry. Side potatoes were good, not real hot though. Going to be in town a little while, need this to be my go to place. Brussel sprouts saved the day. Outstanding. Waitress was excellent.

   My husband and I moved here recently , so we asked what the best restaurants were , and this was no, one on their recommendations , so my parents came to visit from California, so we wanted to take them there , and WOW what a fabulous restaurant it was , the food was outstanding , and my dad said it was the best ceaser salad he probably ever had , and so we kept on eating and everything was just extraordinary, and probably the best Italian food we have ever had , and we have been to Italy! They loved it , we loved it and we will definitely go back to this fabulous restaurant again and again , so overall this restaurant gets an A plus plus ! So thank you all here in Eugene for giving us this wonderful experience and a truly an incredible lace to live ! ! We will definitely go back there to that fabulous restaurant !

   The most outstanding thing about our visit was just how amazing our service is. And that’s saying something, since the food was delicious. I recommend getting a cut of meat or fish since this restaurant knows how to showcase high quality pieces of meat. For my ahi, the plating concept was beautiful but my couscous and cucumber seemed like it was thrown on the plate a bit carelessly. This is literally my only complaint- everything else about this restaurant was amazing. Thank you!!!

   This was my first time to the Gordon Tavern, but I will be back. My friend was passing through Eugene, and spent the night at the Gordon Hotel. This was a Wednesday night in late August, about 8pm. Parking was easy and close to the main entrance. We planned to meet at the tavern, which was easy to find, just inside the door to the right on Oak Street. Once in the lobby, I was greeted by staff, and then at the entryway to the tavern. The hostess let me know my friend had already arrived, but had ran up to her room and would be right back. Great service! I asked to be seated while I waited, and was guided through the bar area, which was medium-busy, but not too loud. The kitchen area is open and exposed, and the dining area was busy also, and people continued to trickle in. We started with a traditional martini, which was served very cold and delicious. I had the Salmon main plate. It was prepared and cooked beautifully. It had a crisp, light crust on the outside, and perfectly moist on the inside. A beautifully tender mashed potato lay under it, along with whole green beans that were lightly seasoned. My friend had the Bucatini Pasta, and said it was divine. The shrimp on the noodles looked delicious. She had a lovely Chardonnay, and I had a really nice Pinot Noir. We didn't actually see a wine list, but our server had excellent recommendations, as we both were pleased. I believe the Pinot was Bishop, but I'm not sure. I can't wait to go back. I want to try the Wedge Salad, the Wild Mushroom Pizza, and the Grilled Filet. Not all at once, mind you... But eventually. 😆 Try this restaurant. One of the best in Eugene.
