The food was delicious and the aesthetic of the restaurant is super cute with the coral walls and natural light from the front. Came here for Wintericious during lunch and everything was really good. Service was a bit slower than expected but we weren't in a huge rush so it didn't impact us too much. There was a mix up with one of the entree but the correct dish was brought over quite quickly!

This restaurant is incredible. Such a hidden gem. The food is high end, original and delicious. The wine is out of this world. To top it all off, it’s reasonably priced. You can’t go wrong.

I was looking forward to try Grand Cru Deli for its Winterlicious dinner. The server was friendly and attentive for the most part, but there was a sour smell at the front of the restaurant where we sat, by the window. I'm not sure if it was coming from the stairs area, but the back of the restaurant smelled better, I think (I walked to the washroom at one point in the back). I'm not sure if they had an off night or if that smell is normal for a wine house? I had the Matzah Ball Soup, Short Rib, and Chocolate Chip Cookie. The soup was fine, but the smell made me lose my appetite. The short rib was tender and good, but the portion size was small and I wasn't a fan of the side accompaniments, beans and spinach. The best part was the cookie which was fresh, melted in my mouth, very hot, and yummy.

Had lunch today - the Winterlicious menu. Matzoh soup, muffuletta and the creme brûlée along with 2 glasses of wine, one Syrah and one Gamay. I HAVE to mention the curly ketchup fries. WOW!! All was delightful, the service friendly and knowledgeable. All food was delivered quickly, or a quickly as we wanted. We'd go back any time. This visit exceeded expectations and we dine out often in Toronto.

The food was just bad. The matzoh ball soup was like a bowl of salty oil. The muffuletta tasted like airport food, and the creme brûlée can only be compared to a ramekin of greyish baby food. The restaurant was freezing, the servers were nosy but at least attentive. Won’t be going back.

I wouldn't go if you're in a rush. We went to Grand Cru before the TSO and they didn't seem to realize that we had a show to attend. Waited 30 mins for soup, but had to jet before getting to enjoy it. Thankfully, they apologized and gave us a complementary soup. Before the soup incident however, the experience was pretty good. They had some interesting wines and the quality of the food was great. Olives were spectacular. Just don't go while in a rush or make it VERY clear to the server.

I was really looking forward to visiting this restaurant and was disappointed. We ordered 2 wine flights and the server just poured with no explanation. When asked if their "surprise flights" are always blind he did not give me a sufficient reply. We ordered food (cheese plate, salad and a sandwich) to go with our pairing but arrived after an hour ordering. I'm hoping that this was just an off night as the server was alone and it looked to be short-staffed.

This place is amazing!!!!! I was hesitant on the food since it’s really a wine person’s dream but both were beyond incredible, great choice of wines at amazing prices and food that pairs really well with it.....plus the staff is exceptional which is an added bonus!!!!

Excellent wine list, great deli style food to match. Amazing service from the somm Terry...were able to taste some pretty special Felton Road wines, which are not typically available. It’s so nice to have a legitimate wine bar back in the downtown core.

This is becoming my new favourite place downtown. The menu is a selection of classics and tasty bites that are exactly what you want for a simple dinner. The wine selection is, of course, very good.

Great little spot for wine and snacks/dinner. The setting is cheerful and relaxed, wines are tasty, and the servers were all super nice and knowledgeable without a hint of pretension. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of charcuterie and the airy chicken liver mousse, and I could have eaten vats of the toasty warm Cerignola olives. The picked mackerel was a refreshing start! I'd definitely come back, whether for a full meal again or stopping by for a glass of wine before a movie.

Service was warm and accommodating and the meal was perfect. The menu is a great high-low hybrid that I really appreciate - have to love the ketchup chips alongside a perfect, delicate salad! It is a bright spot in a neighbourhood shadowed by mediocre chains.
