   We made a reservation for 5:15pm. We got in around 5:25 which was great. Server took our order at like 5:30pm. Others were helped and sat and brought their food AFTER we had ordered. We sat there for over 45 mins waiting for our food. Not sure why other peoples food who had ordered after us was being served. The food error might not have been the waiters fault but he never checked on us.

   Wait staff did an excellent job of helping us during our visit. Brunch buffet offerings seemed less impressive or tasty overall than had been served in the past. Perhaps we caught them on a down day for the offerings but it seemed a bit overpriced for what was served. That said, we did not make it through the carving station and that's usually a high quality preparation.

   I made the reservations & my husband paid the bill for 5 adults and 1 child. The website said adult buffets were $28.99 and for children $8.99. Beverages were extra. My husband was unaware what the charge for the buffets was supposed to be and we were charged $33.99 for adults and $10.99 for the 12 year old or $27.99 more than advertised (almost the cost for another person to eat). Fortunately the additional charge did not break the bank but it might have prevented someone else from being able to afford their ticket and spoiled a lovely Mother's Day celebration. As hard as it is to get good help these days, employers please train your newbies carefully and new employees be trustworthy and double check your work! Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion.

   When I made the reservation I didn’t realize it was a brunch and didn’t realize the cost. There was 5 in our party and the bill was $200. That seems pricey even for a buffet. I was disappointed in the cost and quality of the food. Would have much preferred being able to order from the menu. We won’t do the buffet at GC again.

   We did Mother’s Day brunch for a party of five. The food was excellent and the buffet replenished frequently. The prime rib was perfectly cooked, and very tender although I might have seasoned it a little more. Far superior cut of meat than my last trip to Misty’s. A short wait for seating but our server was quick to our table and very responsive. A little on the noisy side but certainly not unbearable. It’s become a holiday tradition that we will definitely continue.

   We went to Granite City for Mother's Day brunch. The food and Buffet line were orderly and very tasty, but our server was less than desired. She didn't explain how the buffet worked, didn't check on us, until we flagged her down from another table, and also did not ask us if we wanted a bag for our champagne bottle. She did for her other table. It seems like we weren't very well taken care of, but we did enjoy our experience with the food and our group overall.

   Despite having a reservation and being early for said reservation we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was very crowded and while there was lots of food to choose from, everything was average at best.

    We ordered a waffle-fry nacho appetizer and the waffle fries were chewy like they had been sitting and then heated in a microwave. Disappointing. My wife's chicken entree was overcooked to the point that the edges of the breading were black. My son loved his shrimp boil and my Flatbread was pretty good. Service was fantastic. Drinks refilled quickly and servers checked on us many times.

    Our server was great and very attentive! Love the patio when it is a nice day out! I love the margarita flatbread and spinach artichoke dip and chicken sandwich!

    Easter buffet had a nice spread but the food was not hot, barely warm, little flavor, and potatoes not cooked all the way. Eggs Benedict’s were undercooked. A lot of money for inadequate food. Carmela rolls were good though. Will not return.

    1st time trying the breakfast brunch for a holiday. It was so good & not as hectic with customers as I thought it would be. Our waiter was spectacular on keeping his eye on all his tables. Will definitely be doing this again.

    Our server, Jason, went out of his way when I told him about my daughter not being able to come with us as she got Covid. We were allowed to fix a plate from the buffet for us to take to her and it was on the house!

    Great service, we had an efficient and professional waiter, my meal (Asian chicken salad) was outstanding (all 4 of us enjoyed our meal). We enjoy coming to Granite City a couple times a month for all of these reasons.

    I was so disappointed when my food was delivered to my table. Idaho nachoes very simple appetizer the potatoes were so over cooked I could barley chew them. The woman that delivered them apologized because they sat under the broiler too long and the tops were burnt. I tried to eat them but couldn’t. We told waitress and ordered something else. Margarita flatbread, it came undercooked. Cheese barely melted, but my husband was already done eating and was waiting on me. Eating out is expensive and a special treat. I’m sad our experience was so disappointing.

    We had party of 12 in a reservation. Half of our party arrived 45 min late due to flat tire. It was no problem for the restaurant & server. They took it in stride even though it was a very busy Sunday Brunch Buffet. Our out of towners had a great time & loved the food. The lactose intolerance guests were easily accommodated with the made to order eggs and variety of salads & fruit. Server Michelle, aka Shell, was excellent!

    Michelle was a great server, very attentive, and the only issue was when we ordered dessert at the end, it didn’t come out for 15+ minutes. Once Michelle realized it had not been served, she went right away to go check on it! Food was great ,portions Excellent. The nachos are humongous!

    We went to Granite City for an anniversary dinner. Our party was 8 people and we were set up in a room off the large dining areas. This gave us plenty of space and with only a few other tables with people around us, it wasn't so loud that we couldn't carry on conversations. The service was superb, the food was delicious and everything was made the way each person ordered their meal and our server was fantastic and did a great job taking care of us. Will definitely be going back and will definitely consider this for our next large gathering and highly recommend to others!

    We had the all- you-can-eat Fish and Chips, it has been really good in the past when we had it, but last night it was the best we ever had. The Irish beer we ordered with it was also excellent. It is one of our go-to places to go for a nice date night.

    We almost always have good service at Granite City…we opted for the nacho platter for our appetizer. We normally go with the Idaho nachos but feel like the portion of that has gotten smaller.
