This was our second visit. Food was excellent! We started with an order of hummus - just right and the pita bread was perfect (a little crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside). Portions are large - there were 5 of us and we had enough to take home 4 meals. The owner brought us a nice treat of sautéed shrimp while we waited on our dinners to arrive which was a treat. We had koobideh - which was new for me, veggie kabobs, beef kabobs and a rice dish that we hadn’t tried before. Topped it off with persian cake. We’ll definitely be back when we’re back in Greenville!

Best Persian food in Greenville! Easy parking. The lunch salads are super fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is quiet enough to carry on a conversation with your friends. Wonderful service. Try the tea and add the fresh dates to go along with your tea. Fabulous lentils- seasoned to perfection.

I enjoyed the chicken kebab with saffron rice. I had the eggplant appetizer and tried all three desserts. The Persian house salad was delicious with fresh romaine, olives, grape tomatoes and lemon vinaigrette. The food is fresh, delicious and worth the price. They are located in a small strip mall in Congaree road. They have spruced up the entrance with beautiful plantings. There is a huge fountain in the inside which is surrounded by plants so you feel like you are outside or in a green house. Very cozy.

The ambiance, waitstaff and food were all top notch. Everything we had, including dolma, hummus, pita bread , salad, veggie kabobs and wine were perfect. Waitress was delightful.

The food was absolutely lovely and the service was polite and more than adequate. The only negative was the total value proposition. The entrees were very expensive. I would’ve expected those prices for a family platter or even a couple sharing platter but $30 or more for individual Entrées seemed like a lot given the overall experience. There was limited wine by the glass selection, although the house red one I had was quite good and a nice pour.

Everything was delicious! All three meals were fabulous. The chicken, salad, and hummus plate was excellent. The chicken was cooked to perfection. The fig salad looked beautiful and our guest said it was a perfect blend of flavors. The Persian Pan Kabob was very flavorful and the rice was fabulous. Our server, Vickey, made us feel right at home as soon as she brought our menus to our table. If you want a restaurant with ample parking, delicious food, great service, and an atmosphere where you can carry on conversations without shouting, Green Lettuce is that restaurant! Skip the hassle of downtown, and go to Green Lettuce!

January 12, 2023. I went with my best friend to this restaurant because I had went previously with my daughter great food and service, but this time around it was different the same waiter attended us. We paid our bill and my girlfriend checked her bank statement and realize that she was charge more money on her account and realize that for two people we were charged gratitude and she tipped him as well. not realizing that the tip was included. I called the restaurant and they told me that it’s up to the waiter or waitress if they want to charge you gratitude even if it’s for two people. BEWARE check your receipt before you go tipping your waiter or waitress!! I won’t be returning back as a customer.

The food was delicious and well presented. Our wait staff was very knowledgeable , helpful and personable. The restaurant was not very busy for a Saturday evening. We made a reservation but really didn’t need one. Will definitely return- one of the best restaurants in Greenville.

I tried this spot out with some friends last week. I felt the food was very good, and the atmosphere was great. I actually liked not having to fight the traffic and parking downtown Greenville, so this spot was perfect. We went on a Monday night, so it was fairly lightly attended. I have been to another restaurant similar to this in Greenville, and I actually think this place was better. I would absolutely recommend. The only negative for me was the price…I did feel it was a little overpriced for the portions you received.

The food was good but very basic for the price. Your plate is filled with rice and roasted tomato’s so you get full but overall the food lacks pizzazz. They did not offer any traditional sauces for the meats to add customized flavor. The desserts were good and unique.

This lunch visit was my first experience at Green Lettuce. I invited a few ladies to join me for a business lunch, and, it was, for them also, a first visit. The menu choices were appealing and the food was delicious! The dolmas were the best I've had since I visisted Dubai! The service was impeccable and I thank everyone for their attentiveness. We made reservations for Valentine’s Day and ended up walking out. When we arrived, they asked if we had reservations. We said yes and they sat us without checking any record. When we sat down, the menu had changed for the day but their website didn’t show that. So, prices were almost double, averaging $40-$60 which we weren’t expecting, especially for a place with below average decor for the prices. Rough wood tables, vinyl stackable chairs, and no ambience for those prices. I don’t think so. We felt tricked for not knowing about the menu change ahead of time, and even if the food is great, the setting doesn’t match those prices. So, we left and went to a restaurant with similar prices, but amazing service and ambience… it felt worth the cost while GL doesn’t. Lower your prices or fix the atmosphere and you could have a winner.

This is our go to restaurant for a casual evening out. It is Persian cuisine. Lots of kabobs, rice and some nice vegaterian dishes. My preference is for meat or fish so I opt for their lamb chops, three meaty and tender loin chops with saffron rice and a backed tomatoe. They sometimes have Chilean sea bass which is also extremely good.
