Thé food was very disappointing and the service was extremely bad. No one came back to check on whether everything was ok or if we needed more drinks. In the middle of my conversation the wait staff poured water into our glasses obstructing my view from my companions. I am not sure I would recommend this place if you want to eat . It was awful. We loved the venue. Go for the look of the place, but eat anywhere else.
Delightful brunch spot! The ambience, service, atmosphere, food, etc. was stellar.
This was my first time at The Greenhouse. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The staff made the dinner wonderful with their service. The atmosphere was quiet and can be romantic if a couple were to go. I went with a friend before seeing a show at The Kennedy Center. The food was excellent and I would come back and try more food.
Wonderful service from all all workers at the hotel. Food was delicious. However extremely pricey.
Quiet elegance, very good food dessert options. Great lattes for a cold afternoon!
We love the beauty and elegance of the Jefferson Hotel, but were disappointed in the brunch. None of the food was great, despite being on the pricey side. Hopefully the dinners are better than the brunch was.

Wonderful, friendly service with exceptionally good food & drinks!
Delicious food with impeccable service.
Beautiful hotel, great restaurant, tea is sooo good! We will come to stay there next time
Lovely and attentive service but everything was way overpriced for what you got. $8 for a cup of apple juice? $17 for a Bloody Mary that was just average? Eggs were over cooked in the Benedict too.
Three generations Ladies brunch under the skylight was lovely. The ambiance makes it slightly special. The food was nicely prepared though a fairly regular brunch fare.
Would not recommend for breakfast as the plates were average and overpriced. I have had much better diner style pancakes at a diner for a 1/3 the price.
The only reason the service was not outstanding is that there were really not enough people for all the customers - however, the ones working did an absolutely magnificent job and we all appreciated their kind efforts.
Carefully and creatively prepared food in a gorgeous setting with attentive but unfussy service. Low ambient noise encouraged easy conversation. Great way to celebrate Christmas Day. Would love to make this an annual tradition. Waiters and chef gladly switched out high carb items for lower carb alternatives.
Absolutely DELICIOUS food in the most beautiful setting!
Supposed fresh squeezed orange juice that clearly came from a container and was all acidic and old . Second one was less acidic but the same. Otherwise food about average. We sent back one dish as well for too acid flavor, which is concerning.

Food was good, dessert was largely misleading. You might want to ask how the dessert is made if you’re into sweets. Service was VERY slow. We are used to spending a nice leisurely dinner but also expect to see someone somewhere nearby should we need anything. Not the case on Christmas Eve. We loved Plume - not sure we’ll try Greenhouse again.

Beautiful Christmas Eve dinner.
We had lunch there and everything was delicious ! Beautifully decorated !
Brunch spot or elegant morning out with family
The food was very good and flavorful. A couple things that should change- $20 cost of valet needs to be comped for diners of the restaurant. After a very expensive brunch it’s a punch in the face to have to pay $20 for two hours of parking. There is no good parking nearby. Secondly, there needs to be bar service. Many people like a non-brunchy cocktail or martini with brunch. Brunch time is also my favorite time for a cosmopolitan or margarita.
Dear DianaL, I appreciate you taking the time to post about your recent visit and apologize that you were unable to order your preferred cocktails; while we do not have a full cocktail list displayed on our brunch menu, those beverages are available. I will follow up with the team to ensure than an instance such as this does not happen again. If you would like to discuss this matter further, I can be reached at the number below. Sincerely, Krystle Hewitt Director of F&B 202.448.2300
I had to send my dish back because the food was cold. The server was also not exactly welcoming and for the price point you'd expect a little more professionalism/friendliness. Will probably think twice before going here again and recommending.

Perfect spot for a Christmas brunch! Wonderful start to the season.
Great place for brunch! The three egg omelet was really great! Also a great place to go for a ladies brunch!
I went to The Greenhouse for a holiday lunch and it was decorated beautifully! We sat next to the fireplace and the service was wonderful. We will be back!
Excellent service in a stunningly beautiful dining room!
Our first visit to The Green House and it was such a nice treat. We did make a reservation that I highly recommend because breakfast/brunch places tend to book up very quickly in this area.
The atmosphere is so regal and chic if those two go together! It was fine dining and the food was delicious. You don’t get your customary American portions but the flavor of the meal was great. I ordered the avocado toast and my husband ordered the French toast. Paired with 2 shared sides and we were full. It’s not your everyday breakfast prices so expect to pay $$$ for your bill however, for the experience we enjoyed every bit of it. We’d gladly come back again the next time we visit DC.
Ambiance was outstanding, food quality good (not exceptional) and the service didn’t match the $400 price tag (table of 4)

Always a special retreat amid the bustle of the city.
Great food and ambience and service
For the thanksgiving meal, the food was not okay there were two bones in my meal
The service and the ambience was great though! The decorations were wonderful and the staff was very helpful and attentive
Great foods and services
The service was absolutely terrible. It took awhile before our order was taken, then after the food was brought to our table no one ever came back to check if we needed anything. We had to flag someone down just to get our check…TWICE. My husband voiced his complaint with the manager who said he would “take care of our bill” for us but he still charged us. From a 5-star hotel, you expect 5-star service. COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT AND POOR SERVICE!!! Not worth $85 for brunch!!!
Put salt in fish thank you
As always, nice atmosphere, good food. Not as good as Plume but ok. I wish they have better deserts. Everything else was good.
Cocina cierra muy temprano. Precios altos para la calidad de la comida, no son los mismos que el menú en línea.
El lugar es muy lindo.
Wonderful brunch: scrumptious food, in a gorgeous room, served on china that makes it seem all the more special. Definitely feels like you are transported back to a time when perfect was the goal, and the right spoon to stir your coffee mattered. Servers were pleasant, but not exactly attentive, which would be my only knock. I have been a few times over the years, and will definitely return!
We had a great brunch here! We both loved our meals and service was fast. Definitely recommend!
Lovely!! Hidden gem. Experience was top notch.
