Such an amazing experience! We’re moving from Toronto in a few weeks and wanted to find a special place to have one of our last date nights here. All of the research paid off because it was incredible. We got the fresh bread with cultured butter, the ham and cheese croquette to start. For mains, the steak frites and the cod. To finish, PLEASE get the crème au chocolat & pistachio. Heaven. Our servers were the sweetest with great recommendations. Definitely will be back in the future!

Cute, unique and lovely. Great French wine selection, amazing cheeses. Classic steak tartare was lovely. The cod was divine. Kudos to chef and Darlene.

Best Steak frites you'll get anywhere in Toronto. The owner is wonderful and makes everybody feel welcome. Staff is tremendous. Can't say enough good things about this neighbourhood gem. It never disappoints.

We had an amazing time. The food was fantastic and our server was lovely and knowledgable and very kind. Second time there and I will come back again and again it is now one of my favourite restaurants.

Incredible!! Our anniversary dinner. We enjoyed a wonderful, quiet, intimate dinner setting. The wine pairing (Pearl Morissette) was perfect. The food was amazing. Our server made the evening. She was professional and prompt without being crowding. The entire experience was special. Thank you Greta Solomon.

Delicious food and very quaint Parisian feel inside. Small place so definitely need to make a reservation. Might not be good for a large party with little kids but two couples dining together is fine. Great wine selection!

We had a lovely date night at Greta Solomon’s Our original reservation was at the bar, but we were very pleased to be offered a table. The servers were attentive and the food was simple and good. The steak tartare had a bit of a peppery kick to it. The Atlantic cod with haricot verte was beautifully prepared. It was a full house this evening and it is a small space, so the noise level made conversation a struggle but it was still a pleasant evening.

This is one if the best restaurants in the city. It is both sophisticated and charming, small yet elegant, and always excellent execution in the kitchen. Great wine list. Skilled service. Thoughtful menu... they do french bistro right! Love Greta Solomon's!

We had a lovely dinner at Greta's. The food and service were excellent, as always. We started with the escargot, the sourdough, the salade sucrine, and the bone marrow, and had the steak frites and the coq au vin (special) for mains. All were delicious, and the coq au vin in particular was perfect for the cooler fall evenings.

How lucky are we to live so close to our all time favourite restaurant, Greta Solomon’s!!! Darlene has created a little slice of France right here in Leslieville. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The food is always the best! Oysters to start and her Steak tartare is superb. last nights dessert, Cremeux au Chocolate was to die for!!! If you are celebration a special occasion or just looking for a wonderful night out this is the place to go!!!

This was a tremendous experience for two. It was low key, atmospheric and the server was a charming young woman. The service was excellent and both the duck and steak were flavourful and cooked to perfection. Thank you! We will be back.

My family and I decided to visit this restaurant based on the reviews we read on various sites. The room is pretty, the service was on point and friendly. We did enjoy the cocktails. The food, sadly, did not live up to the reviews we read about. My husband’s steak frites had a lovely side of crispy frites but a chewy, tough piece of meat. My son’s dinner portion of the steak tartare was very underwhelming as was the chicken liver patè appetizer which was served in a jar covered with a thick layer of strong tasting fat. We also found the jam and potato crochettes to have little taste even with the side sauce.The duck breast was well prepared as well as the cod but it really was a tiny piece served with three green beans. Overall, not even close to being what the reviews raved about. Nothing to give us a reason to dine her again.

Most of my 4 star ratings should be 4 1/2. We had a delicious dinner with lovely wine and the waitress was great. The small shortcomings wouldn’t stop us from going back! They seemed a bit short staffed with just one waitress on a Friday night, the duck fat fries were not as good as I’d hoped and they don’t have beer. We loved the bone marrow and the steak was cooked perfectly. Save room for the cremeaux au chocolat!

We eat at a lot of french restaurants around the city … The food was good the wine recommendation was terrible … We asked for a full bodied red wine … The wine we received was a light weak red that did not accompany anything we were eating … Also to charge for extra pieces of bread (3 small pieces) is just downright cheap for an establishment of this stature at the very least let customers know there’s a surcharge for extra bread and not just add it to the bill very disappointing experience for these two reasons …

Hi Christopher tbl 22, upon approval we suggested a wine of equal parts Cab Sauv/Franc/Malbec/Merlot. We offered to open one of your choice if it wasn't to your liking. In tasting you confirmed it was good. Our menu list side bread $3. Your reservation request was for free bday dessert. I responded that we do not offer free food. Restaurants are trying to come out the other side of a pandemic, it’s a shame that you feel the need to belittle us for asking for a charge for a service rendered.

This place checked all the boxes: excellent food, great ambience and the type of service that floats seamlessly about never interrupting, simply leaving you to savour your meal and company. It’s tiny, delightful and just the thing when craving some French cuisine.

A great bistro inspired menu in a cool urban restaurant. Food was solid, service was solid and atmosphere was modern and neighbourhood inspired. A great date night restaurant or a fun place to sip cocktails and work through the menu. Portions were modest but satisfying.

Greta always offers the best dining experience. The food is excellent, with fresh products and amazing tastes. The patios (back and front) are very enjoyable (the back patio is a little gem), the drinks menu is diverse and the selection is amazing. Darlene's team is absolutely wonderful. I can only recommend!
