Awesome food. Really interesting wine list and staff who actually know the wines. Great experience
Best culinary experience by far. Exceptional service. Thinking about going back to Toronto for the restaurant alone.
This restaurant is a surprisingly well kept secret. Great flavors consistently well prepared, and an intriguing wine list. One of the best restaurants in the city.
Amazing food Amazing experience! Will be back for sure!
Great meal, great ambiance
An all around fabulous experience.
Really good food, excellent price point! Very crowded night, and I booked the reservation on the wrong day, but they managed to fit us in anyways; was saying goodbye to my friend as I'm moving, so I'm grateful I got the opportunity to eat at GG and tick off all Hoofland establishments.
The team made delicious food, water was always full and the bill didn't kill me. I'll be missing this food while I'm gone, but I'm thankful for all the wonderful memories these restaurants have given me over the years.
A quaint little spot in the middle of the bustling Kensington market. The food is superb. My friend and I shared 5-6 plates and were stuffed for days. An incredible wine selection to pick from, but slightly above average in terms of costs. Will definitely go back again and again.
Amazing! They made our anniversary so special, and we will return again soon!
My wife and I spent our 3 year anniversary dinner at Grey Gardens. The server was outstanding, she was tentative patient and even gave us a congratulatory glass of champagne, right as we sat down.
The food was amazing, we honestly could of kept eating all night. The atmosphere was excellent, inviting and engaging. We will definitely enjoy another night out at Grey Gardens.
Thanks for the great food, excellent service and providing us with a thoughtful experience.

Delicious, creative food in an endearingly casual environment. Great fun to sit at the food bar and watch the amazing chefs work their magic.
AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! The service, the food and wine recommendations. I’m raving about this place. We had the mushroom salad (not called mushrooms on the menu), so yummy. The Oysters! If you love oysters, you must visit!!! The ravioli, makeral- all so good! I highly recommend. It is pricey but worth every penny.
Sharing 4 - 6 small dishes per couple is the way to go. We had 5 and all were delicious. Allow two hours to dine. Highly recommend.
Great service, great food, and great conversation with the wine bar attendant.
Great INTERESTING food, good vibes, will return.
The food was incredible - each dish was so unique and flavourful. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helped us create delicious wine pairings for each dish. My boyfriend and I both agreed this was the best dining experience we’ve had in a very long time. We will definitely be recommending it to all of our friends and will definitely be going back!
It’s a cool place with good food and great energy. I would go here again. With that being said I cant said it was the best food I have ever eaten but it did the job!
We have made this a stop whenever we are in Toronto. This place never disappoints!!
We totaly enjoyed the entire experience. The sharing was fun and the tastes were all so special and delicious. The bread was amazing. Garlic butter was yummy as was the chicken fat dipping dressing. We had 5 different things and all were great. Loved the salmon with fresh English peas.
The food and service were equally superb. Not one bad note in every dish we tried. Would 100% recommend this restaurant to people who love food. Go with a big group and try everything.
Wonderful recommendations from a great server. Lovely to sit in the patio and watch Kensington market go by! The zucchini blossoms were the best ever!
My husband is diabetic and they couldn’t give him anything for his birthday so comped our first 2 drinks. So nice!!!
Incredible, good food and great wine. Really good service as well.
Grey garden is a pretty little gem in the hood. We came here for a late night drink and a light meal. Food was good and service was great.
Liked this better than Don Alfonso 1890 that has two Michelin Stars. So yeah that’s the review!
Always a great experience with excellent staff and amazing food
This place never disappoints: the food, the music, the lighting (!!) and the best service in the city, imo (in that casual, not trying too hard but really attentive and lovely way.) just.. go. Get the fish dip.
Great food, quiet, and very good beverages too. The menu is limited in choice for the mains, though each item is delicious.
First of all I loved the vibe of the place. You can watch the chefs in action at most of the tables. Servers were friendly and professional. We ordered a few snacks. The Smoke fish chips n dip is to die for. And then we asked our waiter for recommendations since we’re already half full. He did a good job and what he recommended were just right for us. Among the dishes we ordered, the pappardelle is just simply delicious! They have a good choice of desserts to finish the meal too.
By the way, they also have a cool drafted kombucha. Must try
Cute place. The smoked fish dip was the highlight. Very good. But, pricing for entrées and especially the noodle dishes is crazy high. No value whatsoever. And average flavor.
Great service though. I would go back only for a bottle of wine and the smoked fish dip.
The server was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and made great recommendations.
Amazing food, we followed everything our waiter recommended. Fave was the mushroom starter. Excellent wine, cocktails a bit out there for me. Brilliant service.
The food was excellent - in particular the corn/chorizo/cotija ravioli stole the show, but every dish was good to great. Portions were great for sharing, nothing seemed skimpy in the least. The prices are very fair considering the obviously high quality of food produced. I had a can of a local saison beer that was maybe 3 months old and so had oxidized slightly but really that's an incredibly minor blemish on an otherwise fantastic meal. I think the best aspect overall was the service, though. The staff was incredibly attentive, got every detail right and was very fast. You can eat somewhere with excellent food but service is the hallmark of a great restaurant meal - kudos to Grey Gardens for nailing this most important aspect of dining.
Food was exceptional. The type of food you remember long after the meal is over. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat. Service though was a miss. Mistimed entrees (they arrived 10 minutes apart with no apology or even acknowledgement). Server had a real edge to her. Too bad but we had fun anyways.
We were advised to order too many dishes and our drink order wasn’t taken until we asked, but otherwise great experience.
The service started out good... but then waned. And the one item on the menu that I had wanted was gone before 8pm when we ordered (and it was the only vegetarian option).
The food was delicious, however it is over-priced. Also, I made a reservation and we were seated at the bar. If I make a reservation I expected to be seated at a table.
L’entrée de terrine de foie gras était sèche et peu goûteuse. Cependant, tous les autres plats et les vins étaient délicieux!
Service was helpful and not overbearing. Food was great, and the recommendations were very good.
