   It was overcrowded and loud. I have eaten there before multiple times. I had no memory of the tables being that close, and the noise so loud. Food was good; service was excellent.

   My husband and I usually have a great dining experience at Grill 23. We always go to celebrate a birthday. We love everything about this place. Amazing food, and impeccable service. During our last visit however, our dishes didn't blow us away. My husband said the macaroni and cheese was dry. The truffle tater tots were off too, I thought. They are usually the thing I look forward to the most! Main dishes were good... My husband loved his steak but I thought my salmon was average - nothing to write home about. In fact, the Yard House whisky glazed salmon would have made me happier since it's full of delicious flavor and always cooked perfectly. It seems this was probably a one off and we plan to go back again and hope for a better experience. I do need to mention that we did mention the dry mac and cheese and it was comped. Overall, I do recommend Grill 23 & Bar because in the past, we have typically have had a 5 star experience. I am looking forward to our next visit.

   Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Had a wonderful server but forgot his name. If you have the ability to look up our reservation , please give our server kudos. The support staff was also amazing at perfectly clearing and marking our meals. Thank you again

   I can’t say enough great things about grille 23 every experience has been on point there are a lot of steak houses but none of them compare to this one it’s a must stop when in Boston

    I had dined here in November for my birthday. Fabulous. Sat upstairs, had two bottles of great wine suggested by the sommelier, and spent a nice $$ on dinner. Brought my son here for his birthday tonight and we get seated at a table closest to the bathrooms and to the group of waiters and the kitchen! Worst table in the restaurant! A 6:15 reservation and the place is not full and you seat us here !! Totally disappointed.

    Extremely loud. Other customers were complaining. Oversalted. Every steak and side was so salted that the food had no nuance. Very disappointing. Dinner for four at $700.00 should be a meal that is unforgettable because of how wonderful the entire experience was as opposed to how disappointing and subpar.

    Grill 23 is our favorite steakhouse. Food,ambiance and service always superb. We sat at upstairs bar and Trey was terrific. Noise level upstairs is more quiet than main dining room.

    Stayed at the hotel across the street and made a reservation on a recommendation. Food and service far surpassed my expectations. Amazing steaks, non-traditional sides and simply top-flight service from and entire waitstaff team made for a great evening. Will definitely make it back every time I go Boston!!

    Good dinner but have had better here. Order filet mignon for first time (usually get the Prime NY) and came out cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes were good but not as good as has been. Carrots a 2nd side were very good. Someone got the meatloaf and that was great. Will try that next time. Dessert was where it fell off. We split the hot fudge sundae and was ok. Needed a brownie or better ice cream. My old fashioned was spot on and the waitress was fantastic as usual. Will be back!

    Our waiter Chris was excellent, all his recommendations were spot on. The wine selection is very vast, we asked for a recommendation and they did not disappoint. The desert was excellent and Chris sent us home with a slice of coconut cake.

    Steak and most food was excellent, terrific cocktails, lobster wasn’t great. Took 3 1/2 to 4 hours for dinner though. The setting though terribly noisy was cheerful, elegant and very nice. Our Waiter was delightful but the entire staff was just clearly overwhelmed. And the poor water guy was hollered at by my husband when he sprinkled water dousing the entire table including us. I’m very sensitive to noise and like to have dinner conversation with the people I’ve chosen to eat with, so highly probable we won’t be returning here.

    Excellent service. Went for graduation dinner. Sat in one of the side rooms, low to moderate noise level. Great place for celebratory dinner. Calamari, onion soup, and chicken dish were standouts.

    Our server, Tanner, was excellent. The food was exceptional. Everything was cooked perfectly, our steaks, grilled shrimp, carrots (wow). Even the sauteed onions were perfect. Great high end steakhouse atmosphere. We highly recommend Grill 23.

    It was great to return to Grill 23 after a long break due to the pandemic. Business bustled with high energy, and the place was packed. The food never fails to wow, and it was better than ever last night. I had the obscenely expensive cap steak; every luscious bite was worth the money. Excellent cocktails and old-school professional service. We all had a fine meal, and we cannot wait to come back again.

    Great food but bc it was Mother’s Day there were a million people and we were put into a second floor back room. It doesn’t have the ambiance of the Grill 23 I love. The service and food still wonderful but wish we could have had the vibe of the normal restaurant.

    It has always been a great experience. Of course you can always nitpick. For example some restaurants bring you a very warm plate to keep the food warmer for a longer time. But overall this remains a reference for us as looking to celebrate something important in this case mother's day

    Have dined here many times over the years and was disappointed as the service was disappointing for the price. The food was very good, but with all of the options in the area I may be taking my business elsewhere.

    A favorite and a great trip with friends. We were sat in the back by the upstairs kitchen. It was clearly the overflow section and didn’t have as nice chairs. It was not the typical experience and certainly didn’t carry the same ambiance.
