   Fantastic BBQ! Went out for dinner with my daughter, she had brisket and I had ribs. We shared and both loved it. The prices are very reasonable and the service was excellent. A go to spot any time I’m in Ottawa!

   I have been to Grounded Kitchen and Coffeehouse many times and I think that it is a great spot downtown, however I’m not giving five stars because they were out of some food items (bacon) for breakfast but didn’t advise when we first got the menu but instead waited until we gave our order to say actually we are out of that. I would have preferred for the staff to be upfront when they first gave our menu, as even if it wasn’t an item I wanted I think it is only fair for the customer to have the full picture before they think about what they want.

    Really great place to go to eat good food. This place is more than food; it is an experience that is clearly not 'trendy' nor voluntarily off beat. It just is and that works for me. Genuine, respectful and all around pleasant. And they had the soccer game on ☺️

    Grounded Kitchen is always amazing! I had some friends visiting from Toronto (foodies) and brought them here and they loved it too (beef brisket and burger)! As an ovo vegetarian, Grounded always has options for my dietary restrictions and everyone else’s preferences, and the best cocktails in Ottawa!

    We had a group of 11. They were very accommodating with our requests for separate bills. One among us has a food allergy and they were very knowledgeable and made sure that the food served responded to that need. Service was very friendly and the perfect balance of helpful and hands off.

    This place was awesome! The environment was great and sort of new age. There was cool posters and decor everywhere, definitely a hidden gem of the city. My friend and I had burgers and fries ans they were AMAZING, would definitely recommend and be coming back!

    Dinner was delicious, drinks were great and very flavorful, nice ambiance. However the menu was slightly misleading, due to the picture of the 26$ plate of BBQ meats, the online menu shows the picture with several few meats on a platter and well we went and it was not the case and only one of the meats. The drinks were excellent, food flavor delicious.

    Outstanding service. Nice decor and ambiance. Cocktails and drinks were on point apart from one drink coming in with syrup on the outside of the glass making it sticky. No biggie, I asked for a wet cloth so I could clean the glass. The shrimp was shelled yet still a bit overcooked. I don’t like to be meddling with shrimp shells right on my plate that is already loaded with other food items. Let’s say it wasn’t a very clean eating experience. The cornbread was a little dry. Overall, I am satisfied.

    Always a reference for a local and homey bistro in the heart of Ottawa, where smoked brisket and cajun shrimps still maintain their flavourful appeal, where we can always rely upon the best cooked beans in town. Cocktails are fun and refreshing.

    Fantastic first meal experience! There was a large party in coming in near the end of our meal that made things feel a bit rushed for us, but overall still a great spot. Great food, solid service, and lots of parking nearby and on the street.

    Excellent and welcoming service. Food was incredible (especially the corn bread!). Energy of place was quite loud but calmed down after a certain time. Very good value compared to other pricier barbecue places; prices were very reasonable.

    Amir and his staff are awesome at accommodating dietary needs. My wife has Miniere's disease, so she can't have sodium. The kitchen at grounded keeps it fresh every time we've been there and every time she says it is the best meal she's ever had. Thanks Amir!

    The food is fantastic. Meat is smoked to perfection, the rub is delicious, and comparable to a good BBQ pit.

    Truth be told we booked this spot after we couldn’t get in when our first choice was not available. The bonus was that is was much closer to our hotel than the Market location we were going to go to originally… and it what a wonderful stoke of luck! We LOVED the harisa wings, the heirloom tomato salad with burrata, the arancini balls, the smoked brisket BBQ. Everything was on point. Our server team was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

    The staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely friendly. What a surprise when the owner said goodnight to everyone - we didn’t know who he was until after he left! Food and service were excellent and we highly recommend for an enjoyable, tasty meal.
