Memorial Day Eve so big night out expectations weren’t super high. Food was solid high-end steakhouse style, but the service was exceedingly poor. Another table’s ice bucket sat at my elbow with an empty wine bottle floating in it the entire meal (I guess we should’ve left an SOS note for the manager), the waiter took 10 minutes to come with the cracked pepper after I asked for it, forget about making sure the steak temp was correct when the entrees arrived and then staring at our dirty dishes in front of us for 15 minutes after we were obviously finished with the meal were real low lights. After the wine was opened, we also poured it entirely ourselves. On the positive side, the busboy certainly refilled our water glasses multiple times. I guess the maitre d’ had the night off. $500 for two people means we should receive a little bit more attention. I’d try another steakhouse if you’re in Chicago.

Our server Jason was outstanding! On a strangely busy Sunday night, he was attentive and hit the perfect balance between being sociable and helpful, fun but not too funny. He was a real treat among the many servers these days who are not all that skilled. For him alone, we would recommend this fine restaurant.

The food was just not great for hoe much they are charging for everything. The “thick cut bacon” is essentially just a slab of bacon fat and has no flavor. The wagyu steak was good but all the other “normal cuts” were just fair. One of the persons burger was way undercooked for what he requested for temperature

Best Cesar salad I’ve ever had! Crunchy chilled romaine, buttery croutons, perfectly dressed salad! Yummy crab legs w/drawn butter, shared the 8oz filet. Great service, cool vibe loved the real candles everywhere along w/the wood! Highly recommend better than the old school steakhouses!

Celebrated my 24th birthday here with family and I would highly recommend. There is street parking in front and along the restaurant. We had a reservation for 9 people and they did a wonderful job providing us a space. We came dressed semi formal which was a great decision. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and the food was prepared well. Prices we’re actually very reasonable compared to other steakhouses I’ve been to in Chicago. The cocktails were okay but they do have a bar so you can request drinks like, Lemon drops or a straight shot if thats your preference. Complementary bread was a 10/10. For a starter I had the crab cake and brussel sprouts that i was able to split with another person. 10/10 the crab cake was nicely fried on the outside with a warm soft inside. Im not a fan of brussel sprouts but these were so full of flavor and season very well. As my main dish I had the dry-aged burger which is served with fries. Definitely worth the $22 and it was a nice portion. Their sides are shareable for at least 2 people. If your looking for a nice date night or place to celebrate I would definitely recommend GT prime!

Unfortunately, the service was not very good. The waitress was not knowledgeable of the menu as one would expect at an upper level steakhouse. Our food was delivered incrementally and we had to wait for four dishes for 10 minutes while others had already been served. They placed the entries in front of the wrong people and Obviously did not have good communication. You would just expect a lot more from a high end restaurant. We had changed our number of guests from 8 to 9 about five hours before our reservation. There was no chair at the table when we arrived and a guest and then adjacent table, offered her chair. We had to ask for another place setting three times before we got one. Another table was then seated near us, and they only had two chairs when they had four people in their party. So they had to stand and wait for them to find chairs and bring them to their table. Just seems like they need a much more put together team. Three of us had a hell of it and it was served on a salad sized plate. Looked awkward. Unfortunately, the hell of it was over cooked but the sauce was good. The guests that ordered steaks did say they were tasty. We had a drink at the bar first and the bartender was very knowledgeable and had good insights about the menu. Unfortunately, our waitress knew nothing about the menu or even if there were any specials and could not offer any recommendations. We really wanted to love this place but unfortunately will not return.

It was a great atmosphere. Our food took 2 1/2 hours to arrive. We only ordered one steak and it was cold. The food was bland. I was not impressed with the food overall. The staff was nice, but I will not return.

Friendly Staff graciously was able to find room for 2 extra people even though the place was full. The Filet and NY strip were perfectly cooked. The sides delicious! An amazing meal on our 2nd to last night in Chicago. Highly recommend
