A fabulous restaurant with great food and fantastic atmosphere. Something for everyone to enjoy.
Excellent food and service. Never disappoints. Highly recommend.
Great food, great service, great experience. Only downside are the Unisex restrooms.
Overall a great brunch experience! Went with friends and sat in a booth. Ambience is nice and service was great, very warm and welcoming. Did the pastry basket for the table, the biscuit is one of the best we had ever had and the donuts are awesome! All the entrees were the great, did the flatbread and burger. Cold brew coffee was nice, and finished with ice cream and sorbet. Perfect!
While a bit pricey, the experience is worth it. And, there are some less expensive options than the way I dine. Always a good oyster selection, great cocktails, and beautiful industrial space.
always a great experience at G&co. I would recommend to friends and family.
This was my second visit to Gunther and the experience keeps getting better. The outdoor space allows for plenty of space between tables and it is dog friendly. The service is attentive but not overwhelming. My group included two vegetarians, so we each ordered one of the offerings and shared them. One was butternut squash with lucious, chewy farro and cocunut milk. The other was goat cheese pasta with mushrooms. If it weren't too crude, we would have licked our plates. The other diner is our group ordered scallops which he said were wonderful.
For dessert, we had tangy strawberry rhubarb sorbet, an incredible dish called a creamsickle which featured a cruchy cookie base, frozen lemon custard and a meringue topping. Fantastic!
The only thing I would not recommend is the carrot cake. It was more like a muffin top and really was not salvaged by the ice cream and walnuts on the side.
Including the tip, we spent $49 apiece...well worth every penny
Quiche (crab) a bit dry, asparagus hard to find - service friendly, but wrong bill and credit card presented after the meal- food is good there and we'll return with friends
Unexpectedly fantastic! Well done on both service and the meal.
Just terrific! Our server was spectacular - food as well. A very relaxing enjoyable meal!
We had a wonderful meal. The food was inventive, beautifully plated, and delicious. Our waiter was knowledgeable, offered suggestions and was always timely. Wonderful experience
I live in Canton and the Gunther was a nice add to the neighborhood. I have been on several occasions, good for personal or business dinners. They have seating for whatever mood you are looking for, noisy bar area, quieter seating in the back, if you like to watch the kitchen they have a kitchen bar, and outdoors during the warmer months. It is a usual stop when I am entertaining any outside visitors.
Food and service were lovely as usual. I had the scallops with mushroom risotto and it was perfect! The server was very helpful with describing menu items and cocktails. Even received a complimentary birthday dessert!
Fun spot for date night with my boyfriend. We sat at the bar and shared a few plates. On Mondays they have fried chicken with collards and mac & cheese. So much food, but so yummy!
My wife and I went on a Monday, and it was an excellent experience. On Mondays they serve a fried chicken dinner which is to die for. My wife and I will be back.
The Mother's day brunch was an eclectic menu with an item available for all different dietary needs and preferences. Service was fantastic and we all really enjoyed our Mothers Day because of Gunther & Co.
We went to Gunther &Co for Mother’s Day brunch... it was fabulous! The building is interesting and bright, the service was great and the food was wonderful! I was there with my husband and teenage daughters, we all ordered different items so we could all sample everything. The cheese plate was my fav first course, but all four were excellent. My main course, quiche, was yummy, the fish pot was fantastic, the French toast could have been a dessert, it was sweet and delicious. And of course the Benedict was great!
We almost didn’t order dessert because we were happily stuffed, but the daughters wanted to try it. So glad we did! Unbelievable chocolate pave and homemade sorbet... yum!
Thank you for a really fabulous brunch! It made the day so lovely!
We had reservations for 8:45 pm but were not seated until after 9:45 pm. After we finally got seated, our food took another hour to arrive after we placed our orders. I would not recommend this restaurant if you have any plans after dinner.
Amazing food - dreaming about the octopus. I think it’s the best I have ever had! I would love to return soon.
This was without a doubt the best meal that I have ever had in Baltimore. For some context, I have dined at Wit and Wisdom, Jack's Bistro, Blair's on Hudsons, Latin Points South, Fork and Wrench, Parts and Labor...I will most definitely return.
My partner started with oysters and I had the Baby Kale salad. The salad didn't have a lot of dressing (I thought it would be peanut sauce like the menu implied but it mostly tasted like vinegar) and was cut into really difficult to eat shapes. Long chunks of cucumber you had to cut into 3-4 bites, small greens, and really long matchstick carrots. There was no graceful or efficient way to get the salad from plate to mouth. Server would not clear bowl of ice for oysters from the table because, "they wait until everyone is finished to clear anything." and I had 2 bites of salad left. For entrees, I had ordered the ravioli off of the Gunther menu, which had been described as 'sharables and favorites available all day'. I had ordered it when the waitress asked what we wanted as our entrees. What came was literally 5 small raviolis in a giant dish. I managed to make it last maybe 12 small bites. It was $18. I would have really appreciated a warning that I was not going to be able to fill up on my entree. Meanwhile, my partner had a steak and fries that were both pretty good. I finished my tiny dish and he was nice enough to share his fries, but it was awkward to do so with the giant ravioli dish in the way because of the bizarre plate clearing policy. I was disappointed to leave hungry from a $100 meal.
Had a nice Mother’s Day dinner on Saturday night. The food was great and reasonably priced for the portions that came out. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely come back
Went to Gunter & Co for dinner. Food was good but not great. Service was very good. May think about coming back to try other menu items.
Went to this restaurant for brunch with a group of people. The drinks and appetizers were excellent. It wasn’t busy, so the service was prompt. The main dishes were decent, except for the hamburgers which had no flavor. The kids had pizza, which they didn’t like either. Someone, probably a manager, came by and offered that we try something different instead of hamburgers and pizza, but the menu is very limited so we declined. That whole interaction was unpleasant and most decent restaurants would have taken the hamburger (which my son barely touched) off the bill, but not this place. This place has potential, but we won’t be coming back.
Took a good friend here to celebrate her birthday and we had a fantastic experience! The space is amazing and the food did not disappoint. We went tapas style and sampled a bunch of stuff on the menu. They also sent out a tasty Baked Alaska to celebrate my friend's special day!
Food was creative and delicious. It was worth the drive from Bethesda.
Outstanding venue, outstanding food, outstanding service. This is a wonderful place to dine. I just love this place, including the decor.
My friend had a burger which she said was ok but needed more seasoning as it did not have much flavor. I ordered the foccacia with kale and prosciutto which was also not very tasty at all.
The happy hour syrah wine was good but it took about 5 minutes to get the bartender to wait on us and it was not because it was busy it was because he was talking to a co-worker and not paying attention. So, overall not a great experience this time.
Always great!! Our go to neighborhood place for special occasions and just a nice dinner out.
We opted to sit at the kitchen bar where we could observe the kitchen at work. It was a good choice, especially for a first time visit. Between the two of us, we shared several appetizers and one entree. All the items were exceptionally well prepared and had interesting touches to them. We're not usually dessert eaters, but did so on this occasion and would definitely recommend it.
Soups and daily entree choices are always dependable and usually extraordinary. A welcoming and very knowledgeable staff is a high priority for this restaurant, and they have never disappointed. Wine choices are somewhat unusual but very well vetted, and great advice is always available. Chef and kitchen crew are a wonder to watch, as the magic is brought forth.
Very nice atmosphere with good food and service. We had a very enjoyable evening
My parents took me to dinner here to celebrate my birthday and it was incredible. The building is so beautiful and well-appointed and our table outside in the courtyard was absolutely perfect. The food was outstanding and we were taken care of by the waitstaff. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Fantastic meal @ Gunther & Co.; service and surroundings were ideal. All menu items were nicely presented and delicious. Menu selection and specials were varied and interesting - we'll visit again.
Had a great lunch, sitting at the bar. Austin was great at taking care of us and the food was spot on. Have been here for dinner several times - food is always very good and Gunther & Co is excellent choice for either lunch or dinner. Main dining room area has great vibe at dinner. With better weather coming, also looking forward to try sitting in the outdoor patio area.
Definitely will be back. And, hopefully soon.
The Lemon Ricotta Donuts were delicious. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were over cooked. My friend's poached egg was hard boiled and another friend's quiche was cold. The cold brew coffee was excellent. Service was okay. It was hard to find our server when we needed her. Not sure I would go back.
Wonderful in every way. Our server was terrific; the menu was creative, everything we ordered was scrumptious. We opted for 'bar seating', which was a good choice. It's a regular dining room, just smaller and quieter than the main dining room. Though it was a charming and cozy spot, the tables were not squished together, so we were able to have a private conversation. It was perfect for our date! The vibe is more energetic in the large and lovely main dining room, so it depends on what you are looking for. I can't wait to return!
Food was excellent, prices were reasonable. Service was top notch but my favorite was the ambience. Beautiful interior and courtyard. We will be back! Patrick, our server was fantastic!!
From the service to the dessert, this restaurant was top-notch. An excellent experience in dining. The food was great for all our eating preferences. For such a large space they were able to create more intimate spaces.
