The dining experience, range of choices- four of us had four different meals, service, gentle attention. Always happy to go to Gunther & Company.
Picked this for date night. Lovely ambience on a Friday night- packed but not noisy. Wonderful service and my salmon entree and burrata appetizer were delicious. The spice cake dessert that was recommended was fantastic- my husband and I polished it off very quickly! 4 stars just because not a great wine list. The Pinot noir that was recommended to pair with my salmon was just ok. Have been here before in a large group and it didn’t disappoint for date night
Took a friend here for a birthday dinner. Food and drinks were delicious. The kitchen got really busy so we had to wait a little longer than normal for our entrees but it was worth the wait. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Ambience was casual chic, energetic yet quiet. I’ll be back :)
love love the food, great service and beautiful restaurant!!
Great food and server Colin was terrific. They had a few snafus with bringing out the courses and they had no idea where to put them. Seemed a little disorganized on that front. Good food - we were fine with how it was plated and served but I did think it was off putting that at the bottom of the menu they claim no changes because of how the chef prepares the food. I guess if you have a legit allergy you should call ahead. I hope Chef doesn’t require a doctors note.
Decor very mid century modern with slight industrial touches. The room in the back is huge with exposed steel beams 25 feet above the floor and a wall of live plants helps to balance the (very) slight grittiness
Great ambiance with attentive waitstaff. Location is beautiful especially outdoor area. Great menu options for all tastes and budgets. If we lived in Canton we would be there every weekend.
We go about once a month for different occasions and now have been about a dozen times. Every time we have a great experience. We have tried everything on the menu and now stuck to our favorite by far: steak frites. So happy to have this place in the neighborhood!
The lamb flatbread was exquisite. Never had anything like it. The flatbread was the usual lamb with feta but with a special twist that included dill, squash and a cream drizzled over top. The crust was perfect. It held the weight of the toppings without being too dense. The cocktail of the night was refreshing with grapefruit and vodka. The bartender was very attentive. A good place that uses seasonal ingredients.
Everyone in our party was beyond pleased with their meals. Great drink menu, cheese selections and wonderful wait staff.
Group of 6 - sat outside. Beautiful restaurant and setting. Food was mediocre and service was inattentive, despite the fact that it was a slow night. 2nd time at Gunthers. would go again, but wouldn't go out of my way
Excellent food and service. Good value for the quality and atmosphere. Would definitely go back.
Fantastic restaurant! I have gone several times and NEVER disappointed!!
Looking for something other than crabs and old Bay in Baltimore - this is a great choice. Very interesting menu items very well prepared and presented.
Our favorite restaurant in Baltimore - the waiter was knowledgeable, drinks were delicious, and food was season, fresh, and delicious!
Leave the Fella Point beaten path and venture a bit further to this gem!
Lovely birthday enjoyed outside in the courtyard. The grilled octopus, scallops and desserts were all DEVINE! Servers were attentive, polite and helpful. First time visiting and won’t be the last!
one of the best resteraunt finds in baltimore!! creative chef, inspired. every course offers Great food.
We love this restaurant! The staff is friendly and the food is amazing
We came for our anniversary- we were in the bar area off in a side room. There was a large 10 plus top that were extremely loud. Our server was busy with them so she didn’t have time to properly care for us. I ordered the Thai seafood bowl. I am allergic to salmon and should have asked if it was in the dish. The menu says fish - I had to trade meals with my husband. Another server had to clear our dishes, brought us dessert and our check. Food was great but was disappointed with our service.
I enjoyed my visit to Gunther & Co. I loved my food and your Staff was excellent
Loved the private room upstairs!
Our group had a great time.
Our server was excellent! Such a beautiful, ebullient being. Kind. Helpful. And, not intrusive.
We have dined at Gunther & Co several times, including brunch.
Food and service are always consistently excellent.
Food was good but the service was very slow!! Not very crowded so not sure what the hold up was.
The overall experience was exceptional. The staff was top notch and made sure to explain everything in detail. We absolutely loved it!
Always a treat. A short but highly serviceable menu with interesting specials every day. Lovely repurposed brewery building. Ample free parking.
I have eaten at Gunther & Co. three times and each time has been great. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent and the setting is lovely. I highly recommend outside seating if weather permits.
Savannah, our server, was a pleasure and a joy serving us on my birthday. She was kind, funny and knowledgeable about all items on the menu. Her fun and friendly banter made our experience even more enjoyable.
Amazing food and the server, Tara, was outstanding. Already planning a trip back. Would definitely ask for Tara again!
The food was average. My meal was a vegan option which was listed as having Mushrooms and quinoa. There were 2 mushrooms in my entree and about 15 pieces of asparagus stalks. No tips. Asparagus was not mentioned in the description . The Otopus appetizer was quite small for the price. My daughter had the tuna poke bowl which also quite disappointing. Would not go back for the food. Bar scene was lively.
Overall a good experience. Good oysters with a nice beer and wine selection and good food.
Gunther & Co is an amazing restaurant. The service was beyond good. I forget our waiters name but he was working in the bar table area and he was extremely knowledgeable. He was personable and guided us in the right direction without being pushy. The decor is great (especially in the main room). I highly recommend it to all!
From the 1/2 priced bottle of wine on Wednesday’s to their oysters and entrees and to the service it was a great first time experience. Being the lead bartender at Minnow baltimore I’m glad that I chose to go to this restaurant I’ll definitely be back! Thanks everyone for making date night awesome!
This is a Baltimore treasure for sure. My wife are dying to get back to Gunther and Co. The service was outstanding, the vintage feel of the building and warm and kind treatment by the staff was superb.
We celebrated my boyfriend's 30th here this weekend and it was fantastic! Great food, great atmosphere, and great service!
Spike was our server and he was excellent! Great place, coming back real soon.
A wonderfully crafted menu with plenty of options for all. I highly recommend the pork chop
The service was by far some of the worst service we have EVER received. The waitress was rude, unfriendly and very disrespectful. I am not one to write reviews but the service was so horrible, it was review worthy. We will not be back, sadly. The restaurant itself was very cool!
Love the look of the place.
The cocktails were especially creative and delicious
The food was very good, inventive, lots of local products. There were choices for everyone in our group, We had pescatarians, vegetarians, and meat lovers.
the oysters were presented nicely.
On the down side, the service was extremely slow. we did not complain but when it came time to order dessert and coffee we asked our server if it would take a long time as we had only about 20 minutes before we needed to leave. He assured us that he could get the desserts out in that time. Which he did. After we received our check, the manager came by and apologized for the long wait and comped our desserts and a dozen oysters. That was quite generous.
My wife and I went to Gunther’s for our 18th anniversary. We started at the bar and were treated to a very nice selection of rye whiskey. My wife enjoyed a seasonal cocktail. We were seated off to the side is the front dining room, we requested some place quiet.
Our meal started with shrimp and sausage over grits in. Tomato sauce it was excellent!
My wife had a custom burger for her entree it’s was cooked perfectly medium rare, the toppings were fresh and crisp.
I had a Grouper special served over Sumer squash, the seasoning was perfect and the fish was cooked
Spot on. We were treated to free desert with happy anniversary written on the plate in chocolate sauce.
We also shared a chocolate cherry cake that was out of this world!
I was pleasantly surprised to find a selection of teas to go with our desert.
All and alll we had a wonderful experience and will be back.
Another fine meal. Pork chop was outstanding. Plenty parking and great decor
