Gunther & Co.
Went there on Sunday at six and the place was virtually empty. Service was prompt and efficient. Appetizers and entrees were very good but it dropped off with desserts which were average at best.
This was my third time dining at Gunther & Co., and each experience has been nothing short of incredible. The service is top notch, the food is outstanding, and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. The chef is a culinary genius and clearly puts a significant effort into keeping the menu seasonally appropriate and cohesive. The waitstaff are knowledgable about both the current menu as well as any specials they may be having, and they, as well as the backwait/bussers, are attentive to your every need. If you haven't tried this place out yet, I urge you to give it a shot, it will not disappoint!
The tables next to us were very, very close- but other than that, it was amazing!
The food was sublime. The flavor combinations on point and the balance amazing. There was not a single dish we had tonight that was any better than another. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an incredible meal worth every dollar spent.
We didn’t realize it was restaurant week when we made brunch reservations, all the food and cocktails were great (although the shrimp and summer vegetable salad portion was pretty small). This was our second time and overall still very impressed. The service and ambience are outstanding. Will be back when in Baltimore
Would appreciate more vegan option or vegetarian. The menu for brunch during restaurant week could have had at least one vegan option as an entree. Like a tofu scramble. Other wise perfect place and great service
We really enjoyed our experience for dinner.
Food was excellent and service very attentive.
It was my husband's birthday, which I had noted on the Open Table reservation, and they brought
a birthday desert.
We sat inside for dinner, and finished our cocktails on the patio.
Very nice patio and indoor spaces.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Great place for pre and post dinner drinks. Knowledgeable and friendly service. Food is of the right portions and great choices for indulging. Oyster bar is an added bonus.
Gunther never leads us astray! Even during restaurant week, the choices were outstanding. I am so thankful to have Gunther as a wonderful, local dining option.
Dining during Restaurant Week & was delightful! Outdoor patio as well as inside dining are well crafted !
We visited for restaurant week and I was excited to get to try this restaurant since it's a little outside my price range without. The server was super nice and the right amount of stopping by to check in without being intrusive. We had three courses and they came out once we'd finished the previous one - which is always appreciated. I had the chicken with the thai green curry which was a tiny bit too spicy but paired nicely specially with the carrots. My date had the tomato risotto - which was delicious but a little too rich for me. Dessert was delicious - we had the key lime tart and the chocolate pave, and honestly, I would go back just for the pave - it was warm, delicious and chocolatey. Overall, would come back when I have the spare income or for jut dessert.
Brunch was amazing and our server Dimetria was fantastic! Great food great atmosphere. Will come back soon.
The server was a little too chatty, getting involved in our conversation in a way that made me slightly uncomfortable. Otherwise, excellent!
Good selection and tasty food. Very high quality and great presentation. Very cool ambiance.
The food was great, especially oysters. Great music on playlist.
Beautiful location and beautiful food. Especially love sitting at the kitchen bar and watching everything being prepared. Our server was very attentive and each course was presented at exactly the right time.
This restaurant is awesome. The food and drinks are amazing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menus. I was there for restaurant week and had the Thai noodle and grilled shrimp for my appetizer, oven roasted chicken for the main and roasted banana cake for dessert. Each meal made to perfection. This is a great spot. Highly recommended.
Went for restaurant week. Best meal in years. Positively outstanding, all the way around.
Group of six to celebrate a birthday during restaurant week. Food took way too long, as people who sat after us were eating there entrees. When the food did arrive the majority of dishes were not hot, mentioned to the waiter he did not even acknowledge us. I will not rush back for another meal even though the food itself tasted very good.
The hangar steak special was exceptional
Great experience. First time at restaurant. Went for restaurant week. Service was outstanding. Our server Tara provided excellent service. Food was excellent. Great ambience. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
This was our first time here and we came to celebrate our anniversary. Our waiter was exceptional and really gave us a great dining experience. The scallops and steak were absolutely amazing. We will definitely come back.
Great meal! Loved eating outdoors.
Had the restaurant week price fix. Got the shrimp appetizer that was like a deconstructed summer roll, the risotto which was creamy but not too heavy, and the banana dessert. It was a little muffin sized banana bread with a creamy sauce and ice cream. Topped it off with their bourbon and pecan water version of an old fashioned that was smooth and tasty.
First time there. Will definitely come back! Had a get-together with some friends and everyone enjoyed their meals. There was even a wine discount (50%) going on, which we totally took advantage of! Great place!
We had a wonderful meal. Great service and the food was all delicious. We were there on 1/2 price wine night which was a great deal!
The Happy Hour specials are great. We were also able to sit a table in the bar area, despite only ordering one food dish. The waiter was a little bit slow in taking orders, clearing empty glasses, etc. We ordered the "heirloom tomato" flatbread, which I felt was a little stingy on the tomato (and didn't seem to be especially unique/heirloom). But all in all it was a great spot for Happy Hour!
Delicious brunch. Was disappointed that the lunch menu was not also available at 1:00pm.
Excellent, interesting food. Wide variety offered, and the 4 of us ordered a wide variety. Everything was artistically presented and full of wonderful flavors. Great choice for an upscale, farm to table, high quality dining experience.
Food is great! Really nice spot, cool atmosphere. If you like oysters this is the place for you. Menu is varied enough for everyone even vegetarians like me. We went for brunch today and had the shatshuka and it was delicious. And the bar area has a great vibe. Been 3 times and every time it’s been a great experience. Oh, and beer lovers will like this place!
Great service, food and atmosphere. We'll be back!
Had a lovely weeknight business meal with exceptional service and delicious food.
I would return in a flash. Excellent service; food terrific; and great ambiance. Can’t wait to go back!
Awesome! My bimonthly brunch group agreed we all are eager to return!
Absolutely loved this place, the food and service was amazing, Great hand crafted cocktails. Fan faves was def the duck confit spring rolls and the pork chop, the tea smoked duck breast absolutely delicious
Great food and even better music! Will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful evening. Food, weather, and our waiter Patrick could not have been better. I think it’s our new favorite restaurant.
The inside of this restaurant and the courtyard are beautiful and the food is good and very good for Baltimore. We had grilled octopus that was excellent. It was tender and paired with just the right amount of sauce. The Thai seafood stew was, however, lacking something. It did not have the depth of flavor that most Thai dishes have - particularly given that it was said to be panang curry. The dish was still worthwhile and the seafood tasted fresh and was perfectly cooked.
I have dined here numerous times before with great food. Today was a bit of a disappointment. The seasonal heirloom salad although beautiful was lacking in flavor. And the lobster roll although brimming with beautiful lobster meat was also rather bland. Could have benefitted from a light sauce or seasoning. For $30 I expected more. Did enjoy the French fries and the service and ambiance was great as always.
