Gunther & Co., located in the historic Gunther Boiler Building in Brewers Hill, offers a Modern American menu, globally influenced and locally spun. Came here for dinner while visiting B’more Inner Harbor from out of state. It was the Sunday night of President’s weekend and fairly quiet. We ate off the Sunday kitchen menu (staff is given free rein to create the menu of the day). I had the spinach salad w apples, toasted filberts and champagne vinaigrette for a starter and sweet potato farrotto for my main course. Both were delicious. The overall vibe was very nice. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend to others.

An excellent meal. Food and drinks were great. Only minor glitch was our server had many specials and a "first time to Gunther" presentation that did occupy a lot of his time at other tables.

Great meal and service. We booked a "bar" table and it is a completely different room in the restaurant from the tall ceilings and giant plant wall. It was cozy and more casual, but a great experience.

Great food and unique cocktails. They even had 2 newly added mocktails! Which was great since one person in our party doesn’t drink so it provided an option other than soda or water.

We recently dined for the 1st time at Gunther & Co. and were very satisfied to say the least. Lets start with city parking...not a problem at all. The restaurant is spacious and tables have lots of space in between. The bar and restaurant are in separate spaces, which makes for two very different vibes, depending on what you are looking for. Interior architecture & decor is industrial, but cozy. Our server was the perfect balance between proffesional & friendly and she was well-versed on the menu and evening's specials. The hand-crafted cocktails were exceptional and the beer & wine list had something for everyone. Every aspect of our meal was fantastic, from the raw bar, the regular dinner offerings, and the specials that day. Fresh ingredients, creativity, and presentation were spot-on. Also, if cost is an issue, Gunther & Co. is an incredible value for the ambiance, quality of food, and level of service we received. We will definitely go back.

OMG! F*#% That was good! Most amazing scallops I’ve ever had! And I’ve had some good scallops! Forgot to take pics before but clearly it was good - no doggy bag... I always, always have a doggie bag! 😢 And the service is outstanding! No weird interruptions, always there when you need something- they know the food and the drinks!!!! I love when a sever can make a reliable suggestion and give good feedback when asked questions! Tom was our server and he was perfect! We will be back!

We went for an early Valentine's day dinner. The atmosphere is nice and the food was good, with a few hiccups. We each had a cocktail - mine was one "on tap" and hers wasn't. Both were quite good. The short rib was practically fall off the bone, as it should be, and was delicious. The kimchi potatoes were a fuzz spicier than I prefer, but that's just me. The hiccup here was with the greens (chard?) - some of it was gritty, as if it hadn't been fully washed. She had the daily rockfish special. It had a lovely butter/cream sauce and was nice and flaky... for half of it. The other half was noticeably undercooked. Not sure if that side was thicker, frozen, or just on the cold side of the pan/stove. They took it back, fixed it, and the manager offered her apologies. No fuss and it was taken care of quickly, a bit disappointed that it happened though. I'm sure we'll try it again sometime.

My wife dine at Gunther & Co. for Sunday Brunch. We were not going to be able to have our usual Valentine’s Day Dinner. So, we chose Brunch instead. This was our first time eating there. We loved the restaurant from the moment we entered until we left. The drinks were creative and tasty. Our meals were excellent. I had their French toast and my wife had the shrimp and grits. I never order French toast because I just don’t like it, but the description in the menu sounded so good. Boy, did they ever deliver. It was excellent. My wife raves about the shrimp and grits. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable. My restaurant is just beautiful, using exposed brick, creative lighting and fun plantings. We can’t wait to return.

The service was impeccable - wish I had caught the server's name so I could let management know. Our table got a variety of appetizers and then some bar food. The brussel sprouts were
fabulous; among the best roasted sprouts I have ever eaten. The pork chop special was a nice size and well done. The person who ordered the ravioli dish thought it was great. I thought it disappointing in the amount that was served - 4 pieces? Overall, I would rate the food as good to very good but a little over-priced. I don't know if the other people we went with would agree. I know one couple loves the food; they have been to the restaurant before.

The ambience was fine - seating comfortable, a little on the loud side but it was a Saturday night.

Also, the sign(s) to use the handicapped entrance were confusing. There was only one sign at the front entrance that suggested it was down an alley on the left when facing the restaurant. It led to a locked door. We had to inquire inside to find out what other entrance(s) they had that was wheel chair accessible.

We were early for our reservation so we sat at the bar and ordered dinner. The woman next to us raved about the octopus but we ending going with scallops and ravioli which were both very delicious...drinks were great and the bartender very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is beautiful ...well done. We were offered to sit and watch the cooks which we may do next time.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the location inside an old brewery in Canton. The service was good and the food was very good. the cocktails were very unique and the one we tried was very good and I recommend it. Really had a great time and would love to return again soon.

Friends Getogether and Birthday Celebration

We had a wonderful evening at Gunther & Co. The food was delicious and we had a very nice table upstairs that was quiet and fairly private. The restaurant is very attractive and spacious so you don’t feel like you are on top of other tables which is unfortunately the style now. The dinner was well paced and we had time to socialize between courses and were not rushed. We ordered a special birthday cake from the pastry chef from
Their catering menu and it was beautiful and everyone loved it. It happened to be a birthday but don’t wait for a special occasion. The menu, although not extensive has something for everyone- even sandwiches and burgers for dinner. Several
Friends had been there before and couldn’t wait to return. Thanks for a great evening!

Gunther is consistently one of the best restaurants in Baltimore. My wife had chicken and I had braised short rib. We started with oysters and spicy peanut soup. Everything about the night was perfect and well worth the drive from our home in Towson. It had been about 6 months since our last visit, but we certainly will not wait that long again.

Ordered smoked duck for my entrée and it was excellent. My other 3 companions had the braised beef short ribs. The ribs were very fatty with limited amounts of beef. Way too much waste and very disappointing. Our server did a great job but the kitchen was extremely slow getting our food out. Don't understand the delay since the restaurant was half full.

From our table we had a view of the kitchen. One of the staff kept tasting food items without gloves. There has to be a better way.

Shared a birthday celebration with a few friends. Enjoyed a delicious egg and avocado dish with fresh green salad. My friend had a shrimp and grits. They honored her request to put sauce on side.
Yummy oyster menu, reasonably priced.
A very cool atmosphere, in a beautifully remodeled historic beer factory building/ Light and airy inside. Fabulous patio for most of the year dining. Great parking.
