The food was amazing! It was my first time ever eating Indian cuisine and it was amazing!
I am looking forward to going back!
The best butter chicken I’ve ever had. The only thing I didn’t like that I asked for more sauce for my butter chicken, they charged me extra $11 for it.
Was our first time dining here, won’t be our last. Fresh, flavourful food!
What impressed me the most is that the waitress told us that our entries would be ready in 20 minutes but she brought them to us in 5 minutes!
Excellent! Our Server - Jay - was a delite!!
The BEST Indian food in Edmonton!!
We have been Guru 4 times now and we have always taken different friends with us and they all are very impressed with the food and how we are looked after by staff.
Great experience again
Thank you so much - our experience was as lovely as always.
Great food, great service.
I love the food the food at Guru. The only thing I can say is that it is very expensive.
Every time I come to Edmonton I go here. It's my favorite place, hands down! When I leave Edmonton I think about it all the time! Lol #bestindianever❤❤
One of my favourite restaurants. I would definitely recommend it
We are never disappointed when we choose Guru! The server was friendly and attentive, the meal was delicious and we will definitely continue to frequent Guru!
Second visit. Not asked what our special occasion was but booked as same online. One daughter lactose intolerant.
Good non dairy options & waiter well informed of meal contents. Food & portions excellent. Bit disappointed the requested desert not available..a Tuesday night at 6pm.
Looking very forward to the downtown location as we live east of the city.
We enjoyed a birthday party in a private room with awesome service & food!
Guru is our go to restaurant for Indian food. We have tasted most items on the menu and each one has been delicious. Food quality is excellent. The manager always comes by to chat.
My first visit to Gurus and it was an amazing experience
The food was great. A little bit pricey. I needed to be reminded that it is like family dining as we ordered too much food for 2 people. We were seated by the reserved room which could get a little raucous at times. ? Maybe a door might help? Overall it is the best East Indian food in town.
The food was outstanding and the personalized service was even better. Great experience
Food was pretty good. Plate size is quite large so you have to share, which makes it harder to try lots of different things. Not the best Indian I’ve had but pretty decent
Flavours were great. Butter chicken and Lamb curry were dynamite. Tandoori chicken and chicken tikka were made with chicken breast and were dry. Chicken Tikka was terrible and cost $25. Food was good but horrendously overpriced. Wont be back.
Waitress was very loud and not overly attentive. Food was good but small portions and pricey.
Great experience as usual. Great dishes and attentive service by Austin. We’ll be back again.
Not impressed. Nice food but not exceptional, very small servings...
We had an amazing meal here. The samosas were fabulous, especially the butter chicken ones. We had the lamb vindaloo, butter chicken and mixed vegetables in a mango coconut curry. Everything was delicious! The garlic naan was warm and tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant for delicious and tasty Indian food!!
The food and service was amazing. It would benefit to have colouring sheets for children😊
Once again we enjoyed the delicious food offered at Guru's !!
Great food, excellent flavours, and great service. Highly recommend.
Excellent food , highly recommend the chicken pops and the shrimp Chettinand
There are many awesome restaurants in Edmonton, but Guru has been my favorite since it opened. It is our number one go to for celebrating or introduction to friends of fine Indian cuisine.
Wonderful main courses (chicken birani and veg masala) with plenty of delicious naan (really- how do they get it crispy AND soft). Sorry I ordered the key line (rather bland) instead of the gulab j. Next time!
Great Canadian Kitchen Party - ordered from our favourite restaurant. Picked up at the door - ordered the family size from their lock it down menu. Tons of food and spectacular!!! Support our local businesses folks....pay it forward these guys do lots in the community in the good times!
Great food. Normally do takeout, but the in restaurant experience was awesome. Food was delicious.
I’d been craving Indian for quite some time and this place hit.the.spot!
When the food hit my mouth it was like a rave for my taste buds. Would definitely come again.
Mango chicken was great but no sides included,,had to order 2 bowls of coconut rice,,17 dollars,,and 2 orders of naan bread 17 dollars for the 5 of us ,,won't go back,
This was our first time to Guru and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we've ever had. Jay's service was terrific and his suggestions were perfect. The vegetable sliders are to die for!
We are determined to make this a regular stop on our dinner tour.
I have been to this restaurant in the past for private functions, and they really do a good job introducing seldom-seen dishes and flavors.
Last night I went in on my own, and had an equally good experience. Everything is just at a higher level, from a unique take on an old fashioned, to the appies and mains. I ordered a lamb curry, and my excellent waiter included a little taste of the butter chicken, both were outstanding.
Even the rice was a higher level. Great attention to detail here.
But it is best to bring a friend, portions are big. One dish is more than enough for one person.
Poor service at the get go as I waited at the entrance for 5-10 before someone spoke to me. However once seated the waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious albeit pricey. Overall would gladly eat there again.
Always a great time with great food
