Inspired by Indian culture and that lifestyle of just drinking, eating delicious food and enjoying life, Guru Kitchen + Bar offers residents and visitors to Edmonton’s Ice District an approachable and modern twist on traditional Indian cuisine. Possessing a chic, inviting and vibrant atmosphere and located steps from Rogers Place in the heart of the city’s burgeoning downtown business, dining and entertainment district, the restaurant opened its doors in February 2020. General manager Gurjeet Khaira and his culinary team offer an innovative menu that highlights an abundance of quality ingredients with traditional Indian flavours and a Chef’s Tasting Menu highlighting inspirations from the culinary team including selections from their take on Indian street food, tandoori oven classics and innovative dishes inspired by the vast regional cuisines of India, Asia and the globe.

We love Guru. This was our first time to the downtown location and it was excellent. Service was attentive, the manager stopped by to say hello, and the food was amazing, as always. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure.

Good place to hang out if you are looking for excellent Indian fusion food. Gurjeet and his team has nailed it in terms of offering excellent food and drinks variety. Location is awesome, attracts good crowd and very lively on weekends and evenings.

Guru was excellent. Choices recommended by our server were fantastic. We were there on Friday night 5 days after the playoffs were done and they were out of a lot of beer and had no lime wedges. They blamed it on the playoffs. We found other things on the menu so all good. Just odd. Overall it was great.

I have been here before every Oilers game I attend. Great food mix and good quick service before a game. Near the action either into Roger’s or around it.
