Gustav Chophouse and Bar
Great meal and service. Nice ambiance.
Our first time at Gustavs and we cannot wait to go back! The food was incredible and in our opinion one of the best dining experiences in the area. Our server Jordan was fabulous and gave us a great overview of the menu. Not a single complaint!
The food was very good. The service was excellent. It was our waiters first day but you would never have known it. The only negative was it was really loud but we managed. We would definitely be back.
We really enjoyed out time at Gustav's. The food was excellent and the service very good.
We were celebrating our anniversary. The service was fantastic, the food was amazing, overall a wonderful evening out.
It was a nice meal - I had the ribs - a little dry but onion soup great ! my friend had the trout special and it had many bones but her butternut squash soup was very good!
Our husbands had the sirloin special - the medium rare steak came out rare and was sent back and came out perfect the 2nd time - both men enjoyed their steaks
It was my first time there and will most certainly dine there again.
Our new favourite restaurant
Great food and always great service
Food was phenomenal. Do your tastebuds a favor and get the French onion soup.
Awesome food. Loved the music. Only complaint is, it is a bit dark but we are older 50-60. We will definitely be back!!
Food is good. Place is comfortable. The calamari had too much batter and was greasy but the rest of the appetizers we shared were delicious. Burgers are great!
Awesome service. Was the first customer in for the day. Meal came with in minutes. Very friendly staff.
Great food, great wine and loved the live music. We would recommend this restaurant to all our friends and family.
We enjoyed our dinner the first night so much that we made breakfast reservation & dinner for our second nights stay at the Georgian Bay Hotel! The seafood platter for 2 was amazing & butternut squash soup & half price bottles of Wine on Wednesday nights plus an amazing band playing in the bar! The next evening a guitarist who was also singing great tunes was so enjoyable with our filet of beef dinners & French onion soups!
It was very convenient to have a nice restaurant right in hotel. Food was good, however was expensive. Ambiance was great, especially with the live music......lovely evening!
We had a wonderful dinner. My seafood pasta was quite possibly the best I have had. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his fillet. We told our server that it was our anniversary. When the desert arrived it was on a huge plate that was decorated with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. It was too beautiful to eat - but we managed. This was our first time having dinner at Gustav's, but it won't be our last. Great job.
The food was prepared quickly and was a piping hot, generous portion. Everything was prepared and presented nicely, but the vegetables, although I like them el dente, were significantly underdone, and drowning in butter - there was a puddle of it on my plate when I was done! The stuffed trout was delicious, and my friend said her steak was done to perfection. We asked for bread, and were given a curious choice...it seemed more like a breakfast bread, what with its cranberries and touch of cinnamon. It came warm, but was definitely not fresh. The service was good, overall, but we were left a very long time, before our order was taken. The musician that night was amazing - a very accomplished guitarist, who played a wide variety, with feeling and skill!
Food is great but a bit pricey, like the live music. + local art
After listening to the local radio ads claiming Gustav to be rated as one of the best, I was very disappointed . Atmosphere is plain and boring, food was mediocre and the noise level from the adjoining bar was unacceptably loud.
The highlight was that when I returned my stake, it was tough, they were gracious and replaced it with a better, but not memorable one.
I expected something much better but "plain Jane" describes the overall dinning experience.
Enjoyed food and good service with great friends!
Fresh bread and hot food! Delicious dessert and great value as we ordered off the cheflicious menu
Six of us chose Gustav’s for dinner while visiting Collingwood for our Annual Ladies Roadie. We had great service from Ian, enjoyed our various appetizers and entrees, and took advantage of half price Wine Wednesday, (bottles). Highly recommend the restaurant for wonderful food, efficient but not intrusive service , and reasonable prices for the quality that is served. Enjoy your next Special Meal out, at Gustav’s! 😋
Pleasant little spot. The waiter was very attentive. Food was good. Ambiance was nice.
Our dinner experience was great as far as food and service. However we decided to go to the bar to listen to the entertainment afterwards and the bar service was terrible. Had to wait quite a while to be served; never offered a second drink and then had to wait and ask another server for a bill so we could leave. Had to get out of our seats to show them we were leaving!
Food tasted good and the service was nice as well. There was live music on a Thursday night which was loud (as it should be), but we liked the singer and their repertoire so it was a plus for us. We would eat here again next time we visit Blue Mountain.
First time. We really enjoyed it. Our waiter was really personable and engaging. Food was great. Would definitely return next time I’m in the area.
Amazing food, amazing staff!
The chef, Jeffrey Anderson, is awesome, comes out to speak with clients and prepares food with exceptional flavours. The staff are courteous and very willing to help with anything. Best place in Collingwood, Ontario
Excellent breakfast and great service! We enjoyed it very much. One suggestion is the meat should not be extra. The breakfast price should include bacon or sausage with the eggs. It was $3 extra. I have never seen that before at breakfast.
Gustav’s is a hidden gem! The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful and the service was excellent. We will definitely return on our next visit to Collingwood.
Just always feel a little rushed or maybe it's the waiter who looks like he's rushing around.
I've been to Gustav Chophouse a number of times and never been disappointed. The food, service and ambiance has always been excellent.
Had a great anniversary dinner here. There was live music and great ambience. The waiter was old school and very professional.
Quite impressed. Good choice for sure!
Excellent food, just a little pricy, noise level from the bar was louf
Great food. Great staff. Food was prepared in good time was very nice date.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious. i would reccommend it to anyone.
We started with drinks at the bar before getting seated in a private corner booth..Courtney was fabulous, doing double duty - bartending, and serving us. Chef was super receptive and accommodating to allergies at the table. Great cocktails, great wine (on an exceptional updated wine list), great food, and wonderful service. Highly recommend Gustav!
Our second visit, celebrating our anniversary. From the moment of walk in, seating to amazing service, we were treated awesome. The food was made to order delicious all around. Our server made our anniversary all the more special. She was personable, friendly and efficient. She went out of her way to make sure we were having a great celebration. We have turned this into an annual tradition. A definite must go, see and taste the experience.
Fantastic meal and great service. We'd definitely eat there again.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Gustav and ordered the special. The charred corn was beyond delicious and was a highlight of the meal. We enjoyed half bottle wine pricing and maybe enjoyed that more then we should have. I have to mention that a definite highlight was the staffing. I wish I knew their names but there were 2 men serving our table and they were amazing. They knew the ingredients and made recommendations and filled our dinner with humor. Thank you.
