   My husband and I stopped in for brunch on Mother’s Day weekend. I had the Croque Madame and hubby had the banana French toast. We got the bottomless mimosas as well. Food was excellent, service was outstanding and our mimosas were never empty unless we wanted them to be. We met the owner who was busy running food, filling mimosas and entertaining guests during the Mother’s Day rush. He was very friendly and we could tell he enjoys his restaurant which gives good energy to the guests and staff. Will definitely be back.

   Excellent dining experience and service from Luis was exceptional! A wonderful Brunch, everything prepared well and very good. Luis was kind, attentive and provided the best service ever. I’m been enjoying Gustave since they opened and will continue to visit, great place on the Mile, Enjoy!

   I have been going to Gustave with my family for a few years now. This place is great and they really have outstanding service. Reynaldo and Alexander, both of whom attended to us last time we were there, along with the owner (I forget her name) were incredibly attentive and nice. Aside from the excellent service, the food is spectacular. Whether it is brunch of dinner, it is fine French cuisine. One thing you will notice, at with us, is how quickly they can get the food out.

    Food for brunch was all very good but awful service. Once he took our order no one ever came back to our table to check on us or make sure food was good. Once restaurant filled up it was way too noisy where we couldn’t even talk since we could not hear. We finally had to flag someone down to get our check. Disappointing.

    A lovely setting on Miracle Mile framed an excellent meal. We will certainly return to be pampered by the wait staff who were both friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this quaint bistro for an enchanting night out on the town.

    I chose a branzino for entree, and it was great! The appetizer, l'escargots, were ok, but not great. The service was superb. The restaurant didn't have a lot of people. It was very quiet, our preference.

    The restaurant is on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. I enjoyed an table outside. The restaurant is not fancy. But that’s where average ends. First the service was attentive and prompt. The cuisine is fairly traditional French. I had the Tartare De Saumon À La Mangue which was excellent. All components were fresh and delicious. For my entree I had the Côtelette D’agneau Rôtie, Réduction De Vinaigre De Framboise. The lamb was cooked to a perfect medium. The raspberry reduction was delicious and the vegetables (green beans, carrots and asparagus, with roasted potatoes) were prepared perfectly. For dessert I had Tarte Tatin, Glace Vanille which was delicious with just the right amount of sweet and tart. There was careful attention to preparation and plating. All the components were fresh. The only (slight) negative was a small wine list but the available selections were good and price reasonable. Gustave is not inexpensive. The above with a glass of wine and gratuity was just over $100. But for flavorful French cuisine prepared perfectly, I felt the price was reasonable. I would absolutely visit again.

    The onion soup lacked mor flavor, and the Steak was cooked as I ordered and very tender and good taste. I asked for the Floatingg Island for dessert, very good. The local is clean and has a quiet atmosphere, and the waitresses attention were excellent! We will be back, thank you.

    Disappointed! I have been to Gustave before and had a good experience, but unfortunately, I did not have a good experience this time. The service was terrible. They sat us in the sun, despite an open table in the shade being available. They gave the table in the shade to another group which arrived after us. We sat and waited for menus, for water, for glasses, for utensils….we had to request every single thing… slow service. They were apologetic, but clearly, they over book their restaurant and are understaff. Do not recommend.

    I initially planned to have dinner there but ended up having lunch instead. Their dinner menu looks amazinh but lunch was not that great. For a french restaurant i was expecting wayyy more. The steak frites was not even seasoned. It was super bland. The wine was not good. Only the salad océane i enjoyed and yet the shrimp were not that cooked. I was very disappointed considering it was ‘french’ cuisine. I’ve eaten at multiple french restaurants pretty much all my life, Gustave is by far the worse. I may try them for dinner maybe i’ll have a different perspective since their menu looks so good. But i do not recommend there for lunch.

    Gustave’s food preparation and presentation is exceptional. The salmon appetizer was amazing. The steaks are prepared to the exact temperature you request. Fresh vegetables and fingerlings round out the plate. The yellow tail special on a lite butter sauce was super flavorful.

    The server needs some serious training. Supposed to be a french restaurant and not a fast food joint. You don't address your patrons as"you guy's" repeatedly. I had to tell the server not to yell in my ear while he was taking our orders. Would be nice if the servers were given aprons as is common with European bistros and restaurants. The food is very good but the servers are killing the place. This was our third visit.
