Located in Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood, Gusto 501 brings together the innovation of sister restaurant Gusto 101 and the soulful hospitality of Janet Zuccarini’s first restaurant, Trattoria Nervosa. Since opening our doors in 2020, Gusto 501 has been serving fresh takes on Italian fare in Toronto’s east end. The interior is worth going for. We only had the high top table option to reserve, and we were shocked at how narrow the table was. But the server was quick to clean our plates when we were done the appetizers so the size of table didn’t bother us. I would definitely go again for their truffle pasta. Angie was super kind and frequently checked up on us. It gets a little loud at night, but perfect for a night out with friends and family!

Beautiful restaurant. They've also nailed the music in terms of genre and volume! Bravo. Other restaurants take note! The service was amazing. The only criticism I have is the size of the appetizers. Had the calamari (a bit too salty for my taste) and the carpaccio.

Food was good. Service was lacking attention and couth. She was ready to be cut and made it apparent she wanted to close out her tables. Also, wrote some special notes and it did not get read.

Ambience was really nice. Although our table was in the back right near the kitchen and bathrooms so that was disappointing. Food was very mediocre and mushroom pasta came out cold which was surprising. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for food, but the spot was nice and wine was cheap!

Ambience 10/10; it was our first time eating here and the atmosphere right off the bat was already great. Our server was very attentive and our order came out very quickly! The malfade ai funghi was recommended to us - and boy oh boy did it not disappoint (I'm still thinking about it!). Only thing that could've been better was their foccia bread, it was fluffy and delicious but was cold at the bottom (making me think it might've been reheated). Highly recommend!

Good service but found it weird that the eggs Benedict hollandaise is served at room temperature? When server took it back to the cook, I could see the person shrug. I was told this is how they make it? Oh well, won’t order that again.

Me and my partner went for diner and we were amazed by the attention of the server and how tasty the food was. We enjoyed every bite, definitely would recommend this place for a date night and we want to go again sometime soon!

Gusto 501 was a new venue for us, the food was delicious, but very loud on the second floor. Service needed improvement, our waiter was on the slow side. But overall a good place.

Was a little loud for conversation during dinner on the 3rd floor but we moved to the upstairs bar after and that was better. Food is always consistent and delicious, our server was fabulous! Loved the design of it - beautiful inside.

Steak was immaculate. We enjoyed a birthday celebration for my boyfriend, though they didn’t do a birthday negroni, they provided a birthday tiramisu that didn’t disappoint!

Nice ambiance and waiter was great. Food appears overrated. (I can only speak about the pizzas). There are many better options through out Toronto.

Great location, it's an award-winning interior -- really interesting finishes & decor-- next time I'll check out other two floors. Good service. The prices were, well, Toronto prices, but the food was tasty, and well sized. I'd certainly recommend it and I'll certainly be going back!

Food and service were great. It was just really, really loud in there. Some because of the table beside us and the rest restaurant related. Had to yell at each other to talk. Just didn’t feel like asking to move. Still, a fun night with good food and good friends.

Service, food and atmosphere were all 10/10. Had the butternut squash ravioli. Started with burrata and their house made focaccia which was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside. Can’t wait to go back.

It is a really cozy environment with great food and a really attentive service. In my opinion it would have been the perfect experience for me if my server would have been a little bit more understanding of when is opportune to approach to me and my partner. She always killed our romantic moments and conversations. But also understand this is an individual trait and is not related to the rest of the servers. Overall I would definitely recommend this place for romantic dinners

This is the second time I have been and again not disappointed ! I brought some colleagues from work and they too felt 501 had amazing food !! Service was a bit disappointing- slow, however we can for the food !
