They kept telling us that we only had 2 hours to use the table. Like 4 times. Our last order was 1 hour after arrival and they served it to us 15 min before our 2-hour limit was up. Portions are super small compared to what they charge you. I know that Japanese food comes in small portions but the price must not be unreasonable.

Excellent food. Not cheap, but an excellent value for the quality. Sunday specials on pitchers. 2 pitchers and enough food to more than satiate the appetites of four hungry friends for a little more than $200 including a 20 % tip. Best takoyaki I’ve ever had.

I haven’t been to Guu in years so I’d forgotten the food. I’m not sure how - the food is amazing! If you’re looking for a unique urban Japanese dining experience with a energetic vibe, Guu won’t disappoint. We brought our teenage kids, but we saw lots of people on dates and folks seemingly there after work. Fun place. Great service. Terrific food.

The place and the staff are great! Very accommodating and kind! But I guess the food is a sort of letdown coz most of the food we had were only one-note: salty. Maybe the other menu options would have been different and better.

Both me and my partner like Guu - we usually go to the ones on Robson, when we realized there's another location on Davie Street close to an event we were going to, we decided to stop by for Happy Hour. We ordered most of the items on the Happy Hour menu and they were excellent both in taste and value. The servers were attentive and very friendly, we even had a nice little chat about fashion, life in Vancouver versus Japan. Overall we had a great time there. If there's any suggestion I'd give, would be to make the interiors nicer like their other locations, however that's just an idea, the restaurant was spacious and clean. Thank you Guu - Davie! We will be back!

This is my go to spot with my boyfriend. We even threw my birthday here, the service is great, Eddy always makes us feel welcome. We are always so satisfied with the food and drinks, the price is great too. 10/10
