we came for an early dinner at 430PM. this restaurant is short of staff. it takes us some extra effort to get our server attention as he is the only one serving the whole 2nd floor. foods were good. Spicy calamari were tasty, Chicken nanban was moist and crunchy. the grill fish was fresh and grill to perfection!

I had much higher expectations for this restaurant after reading many positive reviews. While the service was very friendly, all dishes fell flat and lacked seasoning. The cold appetizers all had the same preparation and flavouring and tasted watery. The grilled squid was tasteless and overcooked. The mussel dish broth was also very watery tasting. While prices were reasonable, we still left feeling very unsatisfied with the meal. We noticed there are many locations of Guu - perhaps this has led to less attention to detail and quality.

This is a wonderful place to try Japanese dishes with a different presentation. The sashimi salad was amazing, we had mackerel and prawns , Tia dip was excellent

Came here on a Tuesday since most places are closed; I wasn't expecting an extraordinary experience as I've been to Guu and the like before. But I was so pleasantly surprised- Some really humble and incredible shoestoppers here- scallop + white peach carpaccio and the stewed beef gristle were our favourites! Wasn't a fan of tempura dishes, we had the ebi mayo and banana tempura dessert (banana split). The prawns in ebi mayo were huge and cooked to perfection; just the deep fry batter for both banana and shrimp were damp and could have seen crispier days.

We went for lunch and the food was good, especially given the price they charge, it's super worth it! Don't even mention about downtown area, you can barely find another place charging this price for the quality and quantity they provide! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone but just two things to keep in mind: 1. When we got there, the restaurant was not full; however, the server told us right on the spot that although there were seat, food might take 20mins to come, and it was indeed the case. We waited for 20-30mins for our food. Hence, if you are in a rush or have time restriction for your break or want to go in a group, I suggest you to call them first to see if they would take pre-order and prepare the food for you in advance. 2. It seems like they do not have air conditioning in store. It was quite hot and they serve hot food, so we ended up had to ask them to open the windows. However, it's still hot and by opening the windows, flies came in so they closed the windows afterwards. Avoid the window seats if you cannot take the heat otherwise it's goanna be burning hot when the sun shines in.

Always a great time to go in the afternoon on the weekend, sometimes you'll see local food tour groups tasting chicken karaage, needless to say, that's a must-try, presently surprised by mushroom cheep bibimbap, also spicy karamari not too spicy for those who can't eat spicy food. Yaki-udon also a recommended dish but a friend was on diet so skipped that this time, but would definitely order it next time. Always great service from all staff, love this restaurant.

Great seating, quality food, friendly service! Highly recommend. Unfortunately, because of the age of the location, there is no elevator or ramp access for wheelchairs or people with disability. Accessibility is low in that respect.

The food was delicious, extremely fresh, and prices were good! The service was not great. I’m not sure if one server is assigned to each table or everyone serves all tables, but we had to flag someone down a few times, and ask twice if the sake we ordered was coming. We received our drinks well after our appetizers were finished and had to wait a long time between ordering courses.

The Steak Bimibap, Q-Chan, green tea ice cream and Plum Wine were delicious however the chicken kara-age was okay. Glad we had a reservation because the place filled up quickly! The servers are very nice and were constantly moving with the place being full.

The food at Guu is always a treat, with rotating dishes and a variety of flavours, you're bound to find something for everyone to enjoy. I however found the service to lack attention this particular evening, which was a surprise. There were many empty tables throughout both spaces, yet I found myself having to track down staff to wave over for service. A dish was also forgotten from our order. Perhaps it was an off day? Regardless everyone is friendly and the food is always tasty!
