   I like pot stickers. They were hot and tasty. I had ramen. The seaweed/nori was extremely fishy. I had to hide it under the bowl or I may choke. My friend had curry, which was only lukewarm. They made a new one, which was nice but the second one was only slightly warmer. It should have been hot the second time since the customer complained. Right? Maybe the cooks in the kitchen need more training.

   Our reservation was for 7:15. We showed up early and got seated right away. That was awesome; however, we sat there for 35 minutes before I had to flag someone over so we could order our food. Since it was our first time here, I thought we had to get up to put in our orders because we waited so long. When food arrived, everything besides desserts were very salty. I just can't get over the 'Tiger Prawn Gyoza '. Where is the prawns? Not a single person on my table even tasted the prawns. Quite disappointed.

   The restaurant is nice and cozy, with a small grocery area at the front selling Japanese sundries and prepared menu items to take home. The restaurant portion itself is open, yet cozy with charming decor. The food and service are top notch - great flavourful broth in the ramen, excellent gyoza (try the crispy tofu!), and a very tasty Japanese curry brought by a friendly and efficient server. We will be back for more.

   Vegetarian Dine Out with Allergies. The tofu gyoza were crisp on the outside and melt in your mouth tender on the inside. I want to eat some more right now. They were kind enough to substitute the veggie sauce so I could enjoy the food. The vegetarian dipping sauce was a bit bland, but the usual sauce is not vegetarian. The pickle was a bright palate cleanser and the gyoza were perfect. There was Japanese beer on tap so I enjoyed one with my meal. It is rare to have foreign beer on tap - kudos. I was there for the Dine Out Vancouver menu so I had a second course of udon in creamy sesame dressing that was very tasty. It was a new experience to have chilled udon, like a salad with a dressing. The noodles were cooked really well. Not mushy but soft and tender. The vegetables were sliced very small but each added a taste sensation. Very enjoyable. Often I cannot have desert due to my allergy to cow milk (in fact all cow products). However the Gyoza Bar served me a delicious mango sorbet with green leaves for garnish. I thought it would be mint, but surprise - Thai basil. Superb innovation. This is a light meal that won't leave you too stuffed, but fully satisfied. I am going back soon. The service was enthusiastic and excellent. All my special diet needs were generously taken care of. Their priority was my ability to enjoy my meal. Five stars for veggie and allergy access as I was able to receive the full 3 course menu for Dine Out Vancouver! I felt cared for and that my needs were important to them.

   We had a great dinner in Gyoza Bar. The ramen and gyoza were all delicious. Service was great, very quick service, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our dinner. They also follow all the Covid protocols, and it felt like a safe environment. I highly recommend it!

    Great night. Service was excellent. The server helped us choose what to have and explained everything well. Fun night. Seemed like many people had the ramen. We had the chicken and pork meals and the pork gyoza to start and they were all delicious.

    This was our first time at the gyoza bar. The restaurant set up is a bit different as they must do lots of take out and have a little area at the front with pre-made meals/fresh food. We arrived for happy hour; the pork gyoza, veggie gyoza, edamame and brussel sprouts were delish! I wish they had more options/variation for gyoza, I was expecting a few more options. Would definitely return again and some other menu items.

    Kind staff and great comfort food. Gyoza Bar’s happy hour has become a weekly routine - great price on beer and wine. Love their happy hour dishes especially the Brussels sprouts. Cannot go wrong with a comforting ramen on a cold day.

    This is one of my favourite spots in downtown Vancouver. The food is great, as is the service. Everyone is so friendly. I usually order the shrimp gyoza but this time I tried the spicy chicken ramen and it was delicious! For dessert I usually have black sesame mochi, also delicious!

    On a cold and rainy evening, hot spicy ramen was the perfect remedy. Gyoza bar was an easy walk from our hotel and the food warmed us up. Excellent value for the quality of the dinner. Ramen dinner just as I like it, a little “cachi cachi”(Al dente) our waiter Oliver was responsive to our requests and very personable.

    The ramen was too sweet and not good tasting. The cutlery tasted like dish soap. The ceiling was leaking something like propane. There was hardly anyone in there and we still struggled to get server attention. Payment app didn't work. Not going back.

    No greetings at the door, no eye contact with customer caused delay to order food, I don't think any server or workers knows actual rules how to display food on a tray or chopsticks taboos. Rice, miso soup were opposite, at the table setting, chopsticks should be placed parallel to the table, with tips to the left. Tiny small details are very important to be as "JAPANESE RESTAURANT" taste was good, but it's very disappointed.
