Visiting from out of town and had really great service here, super attentive. Food was really great, tapas style and so we tried several dishes, all the same quality. Would highly recommend.
Enjoyed the miso ramen with chicken accompanied with 5 pork gyoza’s, a very satisfying lunch.
Solid food, excellent service. The pork gyoza was really tasty, the veggie one more run of the mill.
Took my grandma here who’s visiting from Taiwan - she loved it! Gyozas and chicken ramen were both delicious! We’ll be back
Best meal of week in Vancouver/Whistler area for family of 5. Maybe best meal of year. Delicious and fun.
Good, fresh tasty food with plenty of vegetarian options and interesting cocktails.
Great food, I would definitely recommend the Curry Poutine and the Korean Rib Bao! Our servers were really friendly and helpful.
Great food and good drinks. The space is cool and hip with rustic brick and high ceilings.
Will definitely be back and will try to make it for Happy Hour if I can!
Food was just mediocre. Good atmosphere, good place to get together with friends for a quick bite.
I ordered the pork teppan gyoza dumplings. Love this dish as it has sea salt on the outside, and the slightly spicy dipping sauce.
Been here many times and always love the food: Chicken Miso Ramen is my fave and we always go for some gyozas as well. This time, my boyfriend tried their Spicy Miso Mazemen and found a new favourite. Will definitely be back in the future!
Super attentive and friendly staff. Delicious ramen.
The staff were very accommodating for two adults and a two year old. High chairs were available but didn’t have a change table from what we found.
Food was pretty good, different gyoza, ramen soup and fried style as well which was different, but good :)
If you go for ramen and one side it would be reasonably priced but if you are reasonably hungry and have a few dishes it ends up being a bit expensive.
Vegetable tempura, edamame, Miso ramen, teppan gyoza, were good.
Soft shell crab, garlic fried ramen, chicken gyoza were ok.
We only had very little to take home after that.
Total with 1 beer: $80+tips
It was good. The service was good
First time here, really enjoyed it! Delicious food and good value
The staff at Gyoza Bar are always so incredibly welcoming and friendly. From our hostess to the people that bus our tables, I’ve never come across someone unpleasant. Everyone is truly amazing there.
It was a good place to go for some Asian food with the family. Trendy interior and the place was filled with all types of customers..families, couples.
My family enjoyed the pork gyoza, ramen and chicken Bao.
Great place, amazing food that you won’t find elsewhere. 10/10 recommend!
Excellent food! The server recommended some great options for us. The pork dumplings and the shrimp dumplings were exceptional. The ramen was delicious as well. Fun evening!
They are respectful to Deaf people when I told them I need accessible for a right table. Service is too friendly and understandable. Food is great.
Throughly enjoyed our meal. We ordered David's Menu which is the perfect dinner for two - your choice of Small Plate, 12-piece Gyoza, Bao Board, and beverage. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and for the price you can’t go wrong.
Service was impeccable as always! Food was delicious and is consistent visit to visit. 100% recommend!
Ate for Dine-out Vancouver. I found that the gyozas were very typical. Scallop bao dish was pretty good; had a unique flavour.
Dineout meal was very good value. Food was very tasty and the service was excellent. It was not very busy when we arrived but was quite full by the time we left.
Nothing special, we went for dine out, the chicken entree was wayyy too heavy with the sauce. Everything else was well cooked and delicious.
Went for dine out, great dine out menu and great value for $25. We loved all the mains. The gyoza appetizer was decent, nothing amazing
Really cool restaurant, great service, and the food was outstanding. Highly recommended. I’ll be back for sure.
Great time. Lovely server and yummy food.
Not sure why we reserved a table a week in advance, because when we turned up they only had bar seating along the window. Would have thought that'd be more for walk-ins. We said we'd booked and wanted a table, but that didn't matter. Main course came out while we were mid way through our starter. Apparently that's not a problem, though, they have a handy fix for that - just push your starter plates out of the way and put the mains in among them. Honestly, we spent most of the evening worrying we were eating too slowly and inconveniencing the restaurant. Probably wouldn't come back.
Positives: the servers were pleasant. Gyoza were tasty.
We had made a reservation and when we arrived, Gyoza Bar didn’t have a table ready for us. To make up for this, they provided my boyfriend and I with complimentary drinks. The dine out Vancouver menu was outstanding and very worth it. The miso sauce on the scallops was delicious and the flavour of the spicy ramen was perfect. Very good gyoza and dessert as well. I’ll definitely be back.
We went for Dine Out Vancouver and had a great experience
If negative one star was an option, that’s exactly how I would rate this eatery. The hardest part is deciding if it was the food or service that was worse. Staff couldn’t muster a simple smile if their life depended on it. It’s as if smiling to a guest would drain their soul, darkness would devour them and they would simply perish into thin air. So no, that was too much to ask. It’s fine. The kitchen clearly has a hard time with temperature perception. The soup was luke warm at best. I brush my teeth with hotter water. The refire was worse. Border-lining rain water temp. About 18 different things was wrong with this place in the one hour I sat in for lunch. Sorry guys, get your $hit together. Miku is phenomenal, Minami a yaletown favourite. But I’d say call it a loss and sell your property to white spot. Your losing respect in the community everyday you stay open.
Tasty food at a reasonable price
Service was great, recommendations were spot on, food was excellent.
Overall, for the lack of a better word, the overall experience was 'meh'. The Ramen and gyozas were OK, so neither one is something I would write home about. Given the price level and the fact that it's in Downtown where there are many more options, I don't see the value in returning.
Went there during Dine Out Vancouver, totally worth it for the $25 value. Both me and my friends are impressed by how flavourful the scallops were. Gyoza and desert were really good too.
Gyoza is too oily and soft. Not crispy at all. Very disappointed. Ramen is just ok, not worth it to try.
superb experience. angelo was awesome
Second time we were at the Gyoza Bar and secomnd time it was really good. We had David's Menu which included different types of food. All was very jummy. Service was very attentive and quick.
Went in with my cousin - I love dumplings. Specifically pot sti
