Gyoza Bar Ratings and Reviews
We had ramen and was disappointed
Incredible food and attention to detail in flavour, texture and composition. Genuinely enthusiastic and dedicated staff. Worth every penny.
Always enjoy going there. Staff are friendly and ambience 👍
I was expecting an asian style tapas bar, but this was so much more. The ambience is nice and the service is amazing. And the food was fantastic. My wife and i are a bit fussy so it takes a bit to impress us. We typically seek out fine dining and this was supposed to be us slumming it a bit. I was surprised by the way they turned a casual type of menu into artisan style dishes. Great presentation, perfectly prepared, and wonderful flavours. We'll be back for sure.
Great happy hr menu.
Nice for a quick meal or sit down with friends. Delicious noodles and tapas.
Nice services and food. Centrally located and neighbourhood gem.
Great service. Delicious food!
The place is small and casual, the way I like it. Our waitress was great. She was attentive, answered all our questions and friendly. The ramen was pretty much delicious. Except for the vegetarian broth - it was a bit heavy in the seasoning. Otherwise, pretty yummy.
Great food and great service. Shrimp gyoza, wings and Bao family platter are must haves
Good value and good food!! The Gyoza was excellent!
Great service and food - and not so loud that we could actually talk without yelling. We'll be back.
First time dining here. I have been to some of the other Aburi restaurants and loved them - Gyoza Bar is a great option for something more casual compared to the other locations.
This restaurant came highly recommended and it didn’t disappoint. We loved sharing the small plates and gyoza trying as much on the menu as we could. Loved it.
Great atmosphere/vibe for hanging out with friends. The poutine and wings were on point, along with the ramen. The gyozas, however, weren't that good - oversauced and overseasoned. Good selection of drinks, with friendly service.
You have to order a Bao Bun! Both their steamed and fried bao's are amazing. I only wish their bao boards came with more than 2 bao buns for that price.
Overall portions are small for what you pay for but their food is delicious!
Everything we ordered was delicious. Our waitstaff was great & food came out quickly. Delicious! Highly recommend.
Good food with a good local beer selection. But like many restaurants in this town eager to be all things to all people, it has TVs playing sports for no apparent reason.
Was very pleasant. Our food came fast enough and was quite tasty. Would recommend the taco gyoza... I had little expectations with that name but it was really good. Will definitively go back and try more out of the menu
It wasn't terrible but in a city with more Japanese eateries than you can shake a stick at this one isn't worth the price. Went in expecting The Gyoza Bar to have good gyoza. It was passable at best. Cocktails and wine were good bit the selection was terrible. This place is a glorified over priced ( yes even for Vancouver! ) ramen house. Staff were friendly ambience and feel were unique and fun but end of the day you go to a bat to drink and a restaurant to eat and this place delivered on neither.
There were 8 of us and we all had a good time and enjoyed the food. The drinks were also good and they had a decent selection of craft beers on tap. The only "issue" was that our Raman expert felt the Raman was only "ok" compared to other restaurants. We all left happy and importantly we would come back again.
very fusion ramen and gyoza, nothing close to japnease food
Great food especially the shrimp gyoza and also the waitress was very helpful and friendly
The food was amazing!! Great service. We were constantly asked if we needed anything and if everything was good. We would definitely go back.
i was excited to eat here and came for the ramen. Noodles were too few and soggy. The dish was mostly broth which was ok tasting. soup was hot enough. my kids liked the wings and my husband really enjoyed his 2 veggie fritter baos. Veggie gyozas were fresh and crispy and good. My husband and I came with our kids and the server moved us through the mostly empty restaurant to sit us near the bathrooms. I don't think I'll bother with this place again. On the way back to the car, we passed by a Ramen Gojiro with a line out the door and lots of people inside enjoying their large portion of noodles ...oooo.
Great service and bao boards are so tasty!
Gyoza Bar is much more than gyoza - great taps (beer selection), top notch ramen, noodles, BAO and of course creative varieties of gyoxa. I will definitely go again. All of us will.
Can't wait to go back. Excellent Japanese fusion dishes. We now dream about the curry pork poutine.
Some of the most delicious food we've eaten! Fresh, perfectly cooked fish, tasty salads
Friendly people. Quick lunch service. Good happy hour food and drinks. Yummy food.
Food was very good. Quality of ingredients are steps above most ramen eateries. Server was friendly and timed our food nicely so that we enjoyed our food without feeling rushed.
It is a very good venue, easy, relaxing, enjoyable
Great drinks. Great food. Could use a little bit more ramen in the fried ramen dish.
I often frequent Gyoza Bar on lunches with coworkers and it never fails to be fantastic. Excellent food, quality service.
Good food, quick service. Overall would recommend.
Overall it was fantastic! Sometimes it felt like there should have been more gyoza for t he price that was a rare feeling. Plus when you consider the price of the beer you got with the gyoza is was a good deal. Liked the place, and I'll definitely return!
The food was fresh and delicious! The service was outstanding!
The place was very clean and service was outstanding.
Our server was great and had a good menu recommendations but Family Bao Platter was alright not what I expected, different . not too pricey just right. Just maybe, have a Appetizer Platter instead of a small portions.
Gyoza came out burnt. Very little ramen in the bowl. Very expensive, close to $20 per ramen and gyoza lunch set. Not worth its value.
Had dinner with my husband and our son and daughter who are both vegan. Unfortunately my ability to spot vegan items on a menu is limited! Nonetheless we enjoyed our meal and the kids were able to enjoy a couple of appetizers and salads. It turned out to be all about my husband and I and we enjoyed a bowl of pork ramen, 2 kinds of gyoza and a pork bao bun. There was a nice ambiance in the room and the waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely will come again but not with vegans next time!
