The food was good overall l. However, the wait time was crazy long. The appertize came one by one, 10 minutes apart. Then the waitress came with the bowl of rice without meat for us to bbq. Our rice got cold by the time we had meat. I had to ask to change a different rice of bowl Cos it got cold but then she came back with the same one I guess có the rice was not hot. Food came very slow and one by one and 10 minutes apart. Last time was testing our patient I guess. I don’t know whom I should blame for (waitresses or kitchen)

SO many great gluten free options! We absolutely loved going and not needing to worry about food that was pre-marinated in soy sauce or that the food would make us sick. The food was delicious, it was a fun experience, and the service was great.

Food as always was great. Some items took a bit long to get out. They didn’t have chilled glasses for the pitcher of Sapporo, so they gave us regular glasses than were unfortunately dirty. This is the first situation like this, I go pretty regularly and it is often awesome without any issues.

This is the first time I have had issues with service here. I ordered a drink which never came but they wanted to charge me for. Didn't get any refills on our water. Dishes stayed stacked on the table to whole time. I had to ask for our grill to be changed.

Food was excellent, we chose the six person Bbq meal. There were five of us, we all overate and still had five take boxes. I made the reservation for 7, when I got to the restaurant and was seated I mentioned that we were now a party of five things seam to take a downturn. It starting with a divider being slammed down beside me and just got worse as we only ordered pop. It was clear to me that the server was either over worked as there appeared to only servers two servers for two floors or just not interested because it was only going to be a $300 meal. So after they put the divider down there was on room for the six person meal. So they split the table in half put two people on the other side. So now our table was way too small for this meal and there was absolutely no help from the servers they just kept dumping more food on the table and walking off. Oh bring your own napkins and containers for take home you practically have beg for more than one of each. Just to be clear the food was great, and value for your dollar excellent.

Sadly disappointed, we had to wait to be seated once we arrived for our reservation, the server forgot to ask for our drink order and was rushed, our drinks never made it until we had to remind the server of our order. Even the bill took forever to get to us after requesting it. The food was good but the service was very poor. Won’t be returning sorry.

Very bad service. Server just didn’t respond no matter how many times you ask for help. They just rushed ending your dining time (1hour and 15mins) because they need to serve more waiting customers. The worst experience that I ever had. I left while I was still hungry even I came for all you can eat.

Had such a great dinner here! Ordered the combo for 2 and everything tasted so perfect, also added scallops, sweet potato fries and garlic noodles and was super satisfied. Stuff did come out a little randomly and it would have been nice to have it all together so we could have picked at it all and enjoyed the combination of flavours, we had cooked stuff coming out before our raw meat so some things did get cold or we had to just eat it on its own. Otherwise it was a perfect meal and we really enjoyed it!

This was our second time at Guy-Kaku and we loved it. The food was delicious, and our server was very sweet. We noticed that if you tend to write a list on your phone of what you’d like to order (this is what we happen to do when ordering as a group), the servers will just take a photo of your list. It’s such a small detail, but it makes ordering a bit easier. We had 2 kids with us (aged 8 & 10) and they adored making s’mores at the end of the meal. Great experience, we will be back.

Every thing is very straightforward, server is very attentive, refills my sons drink without us asking, explained clearly the grilling instructions so we know how long to cook each types of meat,

Very good, our server was attentive, and the appetizers came out hot and tasty. We had chicken karage, edamame, miso soup, and other appetizers. We split a set meal for four people, and all the meat was excellent. Easily fed all four of us. I ordered green tea, and that was tasty too. My onion intolerance was easily accommodated.

Definitely a must. Food is amazing. Staff extremely friendly but super busy so service is extremely slow. All the meats and fish were fresh, tender and delicious. It was an overall great evening! Totally recommend

We really enjoyed the food. You get good sized portions here. The biggest issue was our waitress. She forgot to give us utensils/napkins, forgot part of my order, and didn't change out our grates as often as previous times I have been so it was pretty smoky. It was probably just an off day, I've been previous times with no issues. Would definitely go back. It's a great place to go with friends.

Just loved it! Quick to bring drinks and starters. Food was just delicious!! and it was so fun and novel to grill it ourselves. Very engaging for all of us, but particularly for our teenagers. Great value, much more food and filling then we expected. We ordered the meal for 4, and it was plenty! We will certainly be going back!!
